Chopta Resort, Chopta Uttarakhand

We had a chance stay at Chopta Resort for two nights. What made it special was the friendly service and amazing food. Views and peace we got was breathtaking. Some of the rooms were being repaired as it was off season but service by the staff made up for it. Would love to visit again!

We had a wonderful stay at Chopta Resort. The weather was pleasant and added to the charm of the location. The staff was friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. The resort is around 250 meters from the road, but the walk is easy and completely manageable, especially considering the comfortable accommodation and excellent service provided. The food was also delicious and satisfying. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway in Chopta

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible resort, and I can honestly say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with genuine warmth and hospitality that immediately made us feel welcome and relaxed. The rooms were beautifully maintained, with stunning views. Our room was spacious, spotless with a balcony that offered breathtaking views. The entire team at the resort went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect.

The Chopta Resort is a rare example of a truly luxurious property amidst the nature. Probably the only resort in Chopta which can carry the luxury tag. It has an understated elegance. the rooms are incredibly spacious, offering breathtaking views that made our stay even more special. This property is situated around 200 meters downhill from the main road. The biggest advantage of this wooden resort is that it maintains a more consistent and comfortable temperature specially during night whereas in tents, you need to be either under the blanket or require multiple layers of clothing to stay warm. We also found the services, satisfactory and food, delicious. We wholeheartedly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a truly special getaway. Our time there was nothing short of delightful, and we look forward to returning in the future.

In the peaceful embrace of the mountains, staying at Chopta resort was like living in a dream. I experienced a profound sense of tranquility and a closer bond with nature while I was surrounded by spectacular beauty and genuine warmth. For people who enjoy the outdoors, the hotel in Chopta offered peaceful surroundings and breathtaking views of the mountains. Overall, it was a wonderful visit because of the welcoming personnel and the comfortable, clean accommodations.

I will give a big zero out of 5 The property is situated at approximately 300 meters downhill from main road with no proper approach. A kachcha muddy walk way. Very difficult for ladies and seniors. No car or vehicle can reach hotel. The hotel has created a false sense of comfort by naming it resort. The surroundings are in amess as some construction/extension work is going on. The restaurant and property itself is in very shabby condition. On reaching to the location, the staff at so called resort allotted us a room exactly in the buolding where construction work is going on and the workers, labours and hotel staff are leaving on same floor. The smell, smoking by all labours and staff, raw material and other scrap lying . They have forced us to check in in the room they wanted to allot. We have refused to check in and requested to allot another room. They make us waiting in restaurant for more than 2 hours stating that there is dranage issue in the room. Then finally after waiting for more than 2 hours, we decided to leave that place. Despite we have paid sufficient advance, we decided to call it off and moved to some better place even after suffering a loss of 3 precious hours. The place we moved on was much better, with lower rates, excellent location, excellent service, awesome food and all luxurious amenities. We are frequent travelers and traveling all over the world but I never experienced this kind of difficulty anywhere even in difficult terrine also I will not suggest Chopta Resort.

Our stay at the resort in Chopta was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks. The location is absolutely serene, surrounded by lush greenery and fresh mountain air – perfect for anyone looking to disconnect and unwind. The rooms were cozy, clean, and well-maintained with all the basic amenities. What stood out the most was the food – freshly prepared local dishes that tasted like home-cooked meals. The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, even helping us plan our trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila. Evenings around the bonfire under the starry sky were magical. This place is ideal for nature lovers, trekkers, and anyone seeking peace and tranquility. Highly recommended – we’re already planning our next trip back!

An amazing location and property, simply uplifts the mood at the very sight of it. The location is unique in many ways, it's serene, in midst of nature, lush green and surrounded by picturesque views all around, and the rooms are modern n cozy. One should stay here and experience firsthand. Also, the staff is very competent and did everything to make it an amazing stay.
