It was really an amazing stay at kafal house. The room and washroom was very clean and tidy. The staffs were very polite and helpful.

Kafal House offers a spectacular view from modest rooms at a modest price. Cook offers tasty non spicy choices to your taste. Mattress is comfortable and towels are soft. Hot water is plentyfull. Unfortunately the birding is not quite what it was a decade ago with a massive amount of “eco-lodges” on the hillsides. Unfortunately the “eco” is in name only as the forest near Pangot are littered with an unbelievable amount of plastic trash. It’s a shame, so much capital for individual property development but nothing for community services like trash collection. I have the impression that rates are better for last minute booking rather than advanced bookings. Visited at the end of March. Days were cool and sunny.

Clean, beautiful rooms. It's good for bird watchers n photographers. They have a basic hide for birds. Birding guide can be arranged by the care taker for you. Booking can be done online by calling on the number provide on website link [managed by asianadventure]. 4-5 days are enough here for birding.

No doubt the place is beautiful and you will get the most scenic view from this cottage. But below are some cons: Room needed some renovation. Towels doesnt looks clean. We used our owns. They serves homely food without any menu and the prices are very high. For ex- for 8 pieces of onion pakora they charged 200. We have 10 puris with alu matar sabji for 2 person costed me 500. I mean how a puri cost 50/pc. Request to the owner, plz decide the rate charts of the meals, not sure if this is the same or the care taker charges us a lot. As an alternative, there is a small market 300 mtr away and you can have your food there.

If you want a quick getaway from the hustle bustle of the city and spend a day or two in the middle of nature, Kafal House is just the place for you. A 100% pure oxygen to breathe, scenic lush green mountains, beautiful exotic birds to watch, a warm and peaceful abode just to relax and fill your heart with tranquility. Kafal House offers beautiful accommodation amidst the forest with all the basic amenities. Rooms are clean and very cozy, the food is excellent with a Himachali touch in the cooking. But the star of the property is its view. There is an open-air observatory point led by a couple of stairs which has an 180 degrees view of the mountains and the forests.We spent hours on that "Machaan" simply by staring into the mountains and watching beautiful exotic birds while gushes of clouds kept swaying into our faces! The staff here at Kafal House are also very sweet, friendly and helpful. Prem, Dinesh (Manager) and Naresh (Owner) were especially very nice to us and made our stay even more special. There are birding tours in the forests and treks arranged by Dinesh.Our entire staying experience at The Kafal House was wonderful and I absolutely want to and will visit again!

Very nice & quite place to spend weekend away from Delhi s Pollution & the best part its only 20 kms from nanital, Roads are gud with proper signage. Set in the Himalayan foothills the lodge gives you a serene and beautiful view & its a wonderful place in a fantastic setting. Well Trained & Friendly staff. The food was great and all facilities are excellent. Very Well maintained Property with good view of the Mountains, you must not miss a walk to the nearby forest areas. Pangot is a must visit for all those nature lovers!!

We went to Kafal House for a weekend getaway. It's located in a small village of pangoot, 20ish kms away and above from nainital towards bhimtal. Pangot is famous and known for birdwatching and it's a known place to visit for birdwatchers. The location of this home stay is beautiful and as it's located on the slope of a mountain, the view from the rooms is mesmerising. We booked 3 rooms for 7 people including all three meals of the day. The food is very good and the staff is polite and helpful. As there is not much to do in Pangot, this place is for those only who wants to relax and enjoy the peace. If you want to enjoy that, this place and village is best for that. PS. Only jio network is available in the area.
