Sundarban Gateway Resort

Location is good. Outside is also well maintained. But but but the rooms are pathetic. They charge 3000 for super deluxe room. But there are big big mouse on the ceiling and there sound my god. The beds are in pathetic condition and it will break anytime. Totally uncomfortable stay. The price should be 1000 for room as per there condition. 😶 Also there is only one small bulb in the room. * The staffs are very good * Food is very tasty * Outside of the rooms are also nice.

We went on a package tour. End to end managed by the resort.The travel and stay were comfortable. The people in resort were really nice and made us feel very homely. Asimda is special to mention. They served nice food both on boatrides as well in resort. Organised local folk dance and camp fire for entertainment. The property is nice and full of greenery, waterbodies giving it a typical eco feel. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

We visited the Sunderbans Gateway Resort on October 14 2016. It is a quiet getaway situated not very far from the city. The cottages are neat and spacious and are in keeping with the rural surroundings. The hospitality of the resort staff deserve a special mention. Fish lovers will enjoy the fresh water fish served as a part of the cuisine. The boat rides arranged by the resort as a part of the package take you to the mangrove forests and the lush greenery amidst the serenity is a feast for your eyes. The experience is cherished and we all would like to revisit the place in the future.

We maintained resort with required aminities. They provide simple foods in buffet style but taste is good. In the evening they may organise bonfire or some cultural performance, performed by the local village people. All things you can get in package from traveling in the jungle, stay and food

I visited in July 2019. The resort is very very dirty. The general upkeep and housekeeping is non existent. The water lines are so dirty that you get black water in the toilet. The manager is a Nepali guy who is reluctant to speak Bangla. First I thought he is new to the place but then I was told that he is there for many months now. I presume he doesn't speak Bangla by choice.

The most unprofessional group. I went there for a corporate program. I never seen such mismanagement. Rooms are shabby and not maintained. ACs are not serviced for long. Hence not at all effective. I will not suggest anybody to stay there.
