Good ambience quiet free from urban nuisance. View of majestic Rupnarayan river from the resort is awesome.Hotel premises is very much clean and garden also maintained. Staff behaviour is also very good, always ready to help. Best part of this resort is food. Very tasty foods. Best place for day out from Kolkata.

Terrible property, poorly maintained, and still under construction...only saving grace was Netai, who stood out among an otherwise unprofessional staff for his good service. Warning – Beware: There is a dog in the compound, possibly a pet, that was urinating on the edge of the swimming pool, while its wee-wee dripped into the water!

This place can't be called a resort. It's basically a banglow type house beside the Damador River. Not enough space inside the property to roam around. Food is average. The staff is rude and the service is pathetic.

Went there with 8 colleagues. Here is my experience (I must tell the worst experience ever I had in different hotels till now): About Room & Food: 1. Food is good, but not great but very costly in comparison to quality and quantity. 2. Location is very good. 3. Building and rooms are not properly maintained. 4. Tv and ac remotes are not in proper working condition. 5. In bathroom no proper taps, nothing good for hanging cloths, though geyser and water always available. 6. Very uncleaned bedsheet. 7. Very dirty Blanket having bad odour, so couldn't use them. 8. Room tariffs are very high in comparison to room condition and service. 9. The swimming pool was very small and narrow, only good for children. About Booking experience: 1. Initially Booking was accepted for a dormitory for 8 people. 2. But later after reaching they provided two double beded rooms for us and said that the dormitory was under maintenance. So how we could manage? After telling they gave another room which was low in standard though in comparison to the others. But we noticed that the dormitory was given to some other guests. We understood the situation what would have happened. No need to tell here. 3. While checking in they continuously telling us to pay the remaining amount of the booking, which was very odd and later after the very bad experience we understood why they were wanting the money at the beginning. 4. At midnight there was no electricity for a very long period of time, they would have arranged power backup, if not already there, after the very high price they charged for the rooms, which was even not that good even. Later after talking to the local people we came to know that there was no such long power cut at that night. So it was very clear that the hotel cut the power to save electricity. I hope the hotel authority will improve their business policy and hospitality in fair terms without justifying their treatment. Ultimately it is the reputation which will thrive their business. My advice to the tourists / visitors: 1. Don't book on phone or online. Come first see the rooms and then book. 2. Don't pay the entire booking amount at first while checking in.

It was midnight. My companions were asleep. I woke up in extreme heat. I woke up and saw that it was 2:58 AM. The power was off. I saw through the nearby window, all the lights were on in the rooms on the ground-floor. There is a dog, as I knew, so I could not get down. I opened the door and shouted to the caretaker of the hotel, "Dada, why is the power off? There is electricity around ours and except ours. Why did ours and the rooms next to us (I mean, room number 101, 105 etc.) go off?" There was no response. I have had to stay in many hotels and resorts in West Bengal and India but, I have not been in such a strange situation ever. I had no choice but to open the door of the wet balcony. Thanks to Roop Resort for this great experience to stay by the side of the Roopnarayan throughout the late night awakening. Reply: In response to your reply, I feel compelled to say that you should immediately withdraw the defamation you have imposed on me without seeing me. We called, no one picked up during the night---you should know that. Especially since I have a nervous problem. I went there for a short rest. But as I suffered, the symptoms of my disease increased. I have no enmity with you, nor have I any intention of pursuing your business. However, if you had woken up in the heat of the night, you would have reacted the same way I did. Thank you. If you are not an alcoholic yourself, you will understand by looking at other reviews on your web site.
