Aayush Gateway Resort

Medium standard Tour company.Their resort condition is not so good . Main problem is the Service Water as muddy pond water served . Big holes in false ceiling , Damaged door locks , Dirty window curtains , cracked & damaged floor , lot of Spider webs in all rooms . But their Quality ,Test & Quantity of all food is most satisfactory . Their tourist Guide & Launch performance is also good & non questionable . Excluding room condition , nothing is bad .

I really feel that I should have never checked in. But, that wasn’t possible. I had been met, spent hours on the boat and arrived at dusk. Also tied to the place due to the boat trips.| |The fact that I was the only guest should have alerted me to problems.| |The food was just about passable but the dining room was disappointing, untidy and uncared for. I thought it was dirty. The table I sat at had not been cleaned. Most things were done as an afterthought. Whether it was toast at breakfast, napkins, naan or water. During breakfast on my final day young men were replacing the bottle light fittings with party lights.| |I was also interviewed by the owner, and recorded. He wanted to know my thoughts about The Gateway Resort and the Sundarbans. I felt unable to tell him what I thought of The Gateway, as it would have been offensive to him. I restricted my comments to the Sundarbans.| |I can honestly say that I have never stayed anywhere so disappointing.||On the final morning there was a trail of ants from the window down the wall, unfortunately no photo as I was packed and ready to go. One final complaint the bed was never made from day one to me leaving.| |I'm sorry to have such a negative view of the place but it took the shine off all my experiences of the Sundarbans.

This is not a luxury resort. The location is close to entrance to National Park. The rooms are decent size, but sparsely furnished. There is running cold water, fans by solar power during the day and AC by generator at night. The food is basic Bengali food and not very hygienic. This resort is definitely not for the luxury minded or typical foreign tourist. ||Having said that, the staff are extremely friendly and nice and try their best. The tours are really good.||Try to get an early start to have the best chance of seeing wild life. The boats the resort uses are not luxurious but comfortable.

This is a very nice resort and especially very convenient for the serious wildlife lovers as the resort is in close proximity to the Sudhanyakhali entrance of the park. This resort is at a 5 minutes short walk from the jetty. The campus is very big and there are a lot of greenery all around along with water bodies. Accommodation is in individual cottage type and they have AC provision too. Rooms are big, neat and clean. A double bed and a single bed are provided in each room. Bathrooms too are spacious and clean. The dining space is at the fag end of the property, by the side of their theater space. Staff is nice and very helpful.

I with my family had gone to Sunderban on June 2023 and had the privilege to stay with Gateway Resort Dulki but had a horrible experience with them. Their launch was in a pathetic condition with no roof had to suffer in this extreme hot condition. They could not serve lunch in the boat. They supplied us expiry date water bottles. They could not cover all the points mentioned in their tour chart. They didn’t viewed us five point meeting point. The guide was not up to the mark in explaining everything. The experience was horrible and pathetic. I should not recommend anyone to avail their services. Or rather I should recommend not to stay there in this resort.
