NillSunday 26th April, Stopped at Hotel Manas Mangaon for a family lunch during our weekend drive from Dapoli to Mumbai right after crossing the usual NH-66 Mangaon traffic bottleneck and it was honestly the perfect break we needed. The place is quite spacious and was busy when we arrived, but the seating is well spread out so it didn’t feel cramped. Cooling is average, but still comfortable enough for a quick stop. We tried a variety of thalis and really enjoyed the food which was tasty and had authentic local flavor. The service was super quick, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They even guided us on what to order and how much, which worked out perfectly for our group. Washrooms were clean, which is always a big plus when traveling with family. The best part though—big shoutout to the parking attendant! Our black Jeep had turned completely red because of road work with red soil dust, and he actually took the initiative to clean it without us even asking or expecting anything. That was such a pleasant surprise. Overall, great food, great service, and a genuinely nice experience. Big thanks to the team at Manas—we’ll definitely stop by again!

Nill⭐⭐ (2/5) Disappointing Food and Ambiance Despite a Great LocationWe stopped here for lunch during our road trip from Pune to Raigad with a group of 4 adults and a small kid. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a below-average experience overall. 📍 Location & Parking (5/5): The location is excellent and highly convenient for travelers. The property is quite spacious, offering both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. There is also ample parking space available for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers. Note: They also have hotel rooms available on the property, though we only visited the restaurant and did not stay overnight. 🍲 Food Quality, Quantity & Taste (3/5): The food was a mixed bag. We ordered two chicken starters: the Chicken Tandoor was flavorful and well-cooked, but the Chicken Chilli was completely subpar and not worth it. For the main course, we ordered Chicken Biryani and Prawns Biryani. Frankly, these shouldn't be called biryanis—they looked and tasted exactly like basic masala rice with meat pieces tossed in. 🪑 Ambiance & Service (2/5): The ambiance is very basic. The table arrangements feel tight and congested because the seating is cramped too close together. On the positive side, the waitstaff seemed experienced and explained the available menu effectively. However, once the food arrived, we felt the chef lacked the expertise to actually prepare those dishes well. 🧼 Hygiene & Cleanliness (2/5): This area needs urgent attention. The overall cleanliness of the dining space can be improved, and the washrooms definitely need better upkeep, freshness, and strict hygiene standards. It is a convenient pitstop for a quick break, but the management really needs to upgrade their culinary standards and hygiene.

NillI have visited Hotel Manas on the Mumbai–Goa Highway near Mangaon many times, and unfortunately my experience has been very inconsistent. Sometimes the food is acceptable, but most of the time the quality is poor. Despite frequent visits, I received truly good food only once. The management seems to focus on increasing prices rather than maintaining food quality. The taste, preparation, and consistency of the dishes are often disappointing. The service is also below average, with staff appearing inattentive and slow. Many travelers stop here because it is located on the highway and they are hungry, but that should not be an excuse for serving poor-quality food. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant. I strongly suggest that travelers consider other options if they are looking for good food and reliable service. The restaurant is a well-known highway stop near Mangaon with many customer reviews, but experiences appear to vary significantly between visitors.

NillAfter spending time in Diveagar, we were honestly a bit tired of having the same old fish thalis everywhere and were craving a genuinely good dining experience. We stumbled upon this place completely by accident just because it was on our way to Mumbai, and decided to give it a shot. What a pleasant surprise! The food here was absolutely delicious and incredibly reasonable—not a single regret about stopping by. A special mention to the owner, who was exceptionally helpful, friendly, and courteous. It was refreshing to see him so actively involved in managing the daily chores and taking care of the guests personally. Overall, the best place around. Highly recommended! 5/5 stars.

NillOne of the best spots I’ve tried! The paneer butter masala was incredible—rich, sweet gravy with finely chopped onions, The biryani was on point, solkadhi was fine;Dropped a star because the aamras tasted totally artificial, and the portion was tiny for ₹50. Fresh, real aamras is the bare minimum you expect in the summer
