Orchard House by Lohono Stays

The service is just the absolute worst, the staff treat the guests like trash. For example, I asked them to make tea, they gave my tea to another guest at a different area of the house while I was waiting in the veranda outside the kitchen for it. Then, when I asked them to make a fresh one for me, they declined. When other guests asked them again to make a fresh one for me after almost an hour or so, then just got the same cold stale tea which was given to another guest and gave it to me saying it was fresh. Another incident, was had paid extra for barbecue, and when we asked for some pineapple and corn, they said it's over. But 30 mins later, they found more for another guest - how is that acceptable? I mean they lack basic decency let alone good service. And, it's not like any of the above services were free, but they feel that guest has come so is stuck and is at their mercy so they mistreat them

A lovely house set deep in isolation amongst the green terrain of Alibaug. All you can hear are the birds chirping. About 20 minutes from the ferry terminal, only the last 5 mins is a rough road but it’s canopied and hidden which adds to its effect. As you enter in, it has a massive drive way and porch which opens into an open verandah with a central garden with seating.The four bedrooms are placed on the ground floor surrounding the central garden with a master bedroom with an attached balcony and a huge bathroom and bath tub. The kitchen and open dining is also neat with a separate bathroom. The house opens into the backyard which is a never ending expanse of greenery amongst the foliage. There’s a separate hutment for the gym and jacuzzi. There’s a small quaint treehouse with the view of the entire backyard. A beautiful seating is by its doorway, with a swing. The first floor houses the living room with an indoor dining room and most importantly and outdoor seating with the pool which overlooks the central yard. You have a nice view of the hills at the backside and it’s absolutely calm and serene. The staff is so warm and helpful. The chef has some amazing meals up his sleeves. The house upkeep is upto date. They have a fully functional tv with Netflix and all and certain games and books are also available. They have masseuse services at an additional cost. Would love to visit this property again.
