丽江和府洲际度假酒店

We went for 3 days in July this year. Weather is lovely all year around in Lijiang apparently. We were maybe worried that it was going to rain as the weather report said it would be it was honestly just a smattering (and welcome when we did get a touch landing on us). So if you are planning a trip at a similar time of year, I really wouldn't worry too much! ||Anyway, the hotel review...||I have stayed on a fair few hotels in my life and I can safely say that this is truly an exceptional hotel. Worthy of a honeymoon, let alone a short relaxing break with the family like ours was.||We were probably lucky in that we got a free upgrade so I can't say what the standard rooms look like but the internal decor of the room we had was outstanding. Traditional style dwelling but clearly with a modern finish. The whole hotel makes you feel like you have been transported back in time to an 18th century martial arts movie set. There is an exceptional sense of peace and tranquility about the rooms and the entire hotel given it is all inside a walled complex. PLUS from a logistics perspective you are right in the middle of town and can easily access the ancient city. The best of all worlds.||In terms of facilities, the standard was high. The swimming pool is very large (olympic size? Close to that at least), the kids play room is small but kept our 4 year old boy more than happy for the 3 nights we were there. The gym has high quality equipment and a good range of things to work out on. They also had places that you could rent costumes and get your hair styled up if you are the type of tourist that likes to dress up, which we discovered is quite the industry in this part of the world!||Breakfast was outstanding with a large array of Western and Chinese foods to choose from, including a host of short order chefs. They had a coffee machine and tea selection that covered everything imaginable. Our boy loved the sweet potato drink one of the dispensers had - his" purple coffee". ||If I had to be critical of anything I would say that if you don't have a Chinese phone number then using their online ordering system for room service is a bit problematic. But hey, get used to it, you're in China now. In the end we ordered club sandwiches and pizza over the telephone and what came to the room was excellent quality. ||We would very happily go back and stay again without hesitation (indeed we spent much of the time talking about it whilst we were there).

The location of the hotel is excellent. The view from the lounge is also great. Breakfast is of good value. Condition of the room is well kept. Bed is very comfortable. Catherine has been a great help throughout my entire stay. Highly recommended.

I was here during May for my vacation. The hotel sits perfectly at the side of ancient city which is great for shopping. It was built in a resort style similar to villia. The price was the steepest in the whole Lijiang but that did not feel like a deterrent. They have managed to provide exemplary service and attention to detail. They have an in house buggy ride to send you to your hotel as it may be far depending where is your room. Overall, it was a good stay with perfect location and spacious room. The breakfast spread was good too and special call out to their pastry section!

Definitely a great hotel for the value. Really nice location at the beautiful old town, comfortable guest rooms and public spaces. Lots of new hotels popping in Lijiang but i find Intercontinental is overall very competitive. We got more luxurious experience at the Amandayan but we also had to pay 5 times more.

Overall very beautiful but the rooms are a little tired. Also check in was slow and strangely there is a sculpture (more like a bench) in the entrance that is in the shape of a seat with a sign don’t sit. Not welcoming and removes attention from the view. Breakfast food was average at best. Poor quality ingredients. It was quiet which was great, comfy beds and great spa. Right at the old town. Lijiang old town is a tourist trap so I suggest to go out further.

Very bad experience. As a Diamond Elite member, I booked a standard 2-twin bed room using my awards points, and it was upgraded to a "2 Twin Junior Suite with Club Lounge Access." However, upon check-in, the front desk staff refused to grant us lounge access. Despite showing the IHG app displaying the "Junior Suite Club Lounge Access," the front desk agent stated that because the booking was made with awards points, she needed to verify the access with the lounge. She asked us to go to our room and assured us that she would call us later, but no call was received. My wife called the front desk a second time and was again refused lounge access. On my third call, the front desk finally informed me that they would escalate the issue to the manager. Our family is traveling and had a packed schedule in Yunnan. We could not afford to waste our limited vacation time waiting for a decision. Later that evening, the manager left a message approving our lounge access, but by then, it was too late. During our 2-day stay, we were unable to utilize the lounge at all.

The hotel is located next to the Lijiang Ancient Town. Can easily stroll out via the back door of the hotel to visit the Lijiang Ancient Town for sightseeing, shopping or F&B. The rooms are spread out in 2 storey villas throughout the garden landscape with buggy service if you do not wish to walk to your room. Rooms are spacious with ancient Chinese decor & modern facilities. Hotel buffet breakfast spread is fantastic & staff are helpful too. There are several outdoor sitting areas in the hotel compound to soak in the lovely serene scenery away from the bustling touristy town next door.

酒店毗邻丽江古城。从酒店后门可轻松漫步到丽江古城观光、购物或餐饮。客房分布在整个花园景观中的两层别墅内，如果您不想步行前往客房，还可以提供越野车服务。 客房宽敞，拥有古老的中国装饰和现代设施。酒店的自助早餐很棒，工作人员也很乐于助人。 酒店内设有多个户外休息区，您可以沉浸在远离隔壁繁华旅游小镇的美丽宁静风景中。

就在麗江古城旁邊，位置方便得不得了。環境超美，乾淨舒適。客戶服務也很好，很有耐性。再去麗江的話一定會選它！唯一可惜的是天氣不好，住的兩天都看不到日照金山，浪費了它大堂的好方向和大玻璃。完美😍
