宽敞的院子，鲜花争艳，房间设施干净整洁，老板想的很周到，配置了两种茶叶和茶具，卫生间干净明亮，热水出水量很大，既是阴天水温都很高，很安静、服务又周到，睡了一个好觉！还提供丰富的早餐。值得推荐。

My friend who had been here recommended this place to me, and every bit of it was as great as he decribed it. The courtyard was very clean and beautiful, nicely decorated with a lot of seats scattered around the yard. It has a great location, not so close to the old theater where it was always very noisy and packed with people, but close enough so that you could walk there within 5 mins. (it was a small town)||The inn owner couple were really nice and welcoming, always cleaning the couryard to make it a comfortable environment for everybody. I really liked the room, it was bright and clean. They had hot water and the wifi speed was pretty fast as well. The included breakfasts were simple but really tasty, and the husband would occasionally make tea for people who are in the yard and it was surprisingly good. ||I would definitely recommend this place to everyone !

Looking at the very positive reviews of this hotel, we cannot share other traveller's abundant enthusiasm. We found the rooms (and we had the deluxe version) to be very small, kind of "There's only space to open 1 suitcase at a time". Also, once you start using the shower, the entire bathroom is under water - as there is no separation. We were there for New Year's Eve and watched a movie together till after midnight - returning to our rooms afterwards was a bit eerie - the place pitch dark. ||Granted, bedding is good, the rooms and bathrooms are clean, and the hosts are friendly. But we ended up paying as much per night and per room than in much better places, and we found that nothing really justified that. Shaxi is a little old town which is nice to visit, but we did not find it to be a very exciting place to stay... especially on a New Year's Eve , very cold night and none of the restaurants (neither our hotel) well heated.

I'm surprised there isn't already a review for this guesthouse. It's ideally located near the main street and 5min from the old theatre, and feels like an upscale guesthouse, at reasonable rates. ||||I visited a few rooms before settling on one on the ground floor, but they all looked very nice, from twin bed rooms to much larger suites. The bed was very comfortable, everything is immaculate, with the best bathrooms I've had so far in Yunnan. The setting is also gorgeous with plenty of areas to sit and relax, and a beautiful and well cared for garden. Unfortunately my photos don't do it justice.

I travel a lot in the south western region of China. My friend told me about the Sha'Xi Ancient Town that i definitely need to pay a visit to. It's one of the only few towns that still preserves their original cultures and landscapes (Most other places such as Shu'He have been over commercialized and modified by local government and business people).||We did some research on the local inns and found the design elements and decorations of the Gumo Boutique Inn most suitable to our liking. And we were not disappointed. This courtyard was filled with plants and flowers, which is something you don't normally have a chance to see in the urban area.||One thing to notice is that the location showed on Expedia's map is slightly off from the actual location. We had to call the inn owner and he was nice enough to come to pick us up himself. He told us he had emailed Expedia with regards to the discrepancy and it should be fixed soon, so thst was really considerate of him.||The room was really nice and clean. Not the biggest, but it had everything we needed which made us feel right at home. I was surprised that there were no bugs at all during our stay and our room was on the first floor. But do expect some mosquitos and flies. For those of you who cannot stand them, these ancinet towns are probably not the right place for you then!||Overall I was really impressed by the quality of service we got here, it was a cozy little place. Definitely coming back again if I have a chance.

my bf and I decided to come during winter because there are less people around. we booked this place on trip advisor cause the photos and reviews looked promising. ||like the others here have mentioned, the room was not necessarily the biggest, but it was big enough and we stayed in there comfortably. we thought the heating was good probably because we are from Canada :). Dont get how people could complain about the washroom floor being wet, i mean c’mon, what are you expecting from one of the most remote ancient towns in the country. Plus they provided you with slippers! Honestly, for people who plan on visiting Sha'Xi, be mentally prepared and dont expect much from ANY of the hotels over here. even though Gumo Boutique Inn was the only place we stayed at, we did look around honesty thought this is probably as good as it can get at this price point. The pricing was fair, the room was cozy, the breakfast was delish and the host was really friendly. but we do agree that the place could use some extra lighting at night.

Such luxury. Friendly and very helpful hosts, lovely courtyard garden, and quality rooms make this place a winner. It's so close to the shops and eateries. So quiet and laid back when you need some relax time. Loved the crisp, clean, new linen. And the Euro breakfast with free fruit was just right. Easy access to village and riverside walks. They'll suggest good local restaurants and recommend trusty e-bike rentals. We thank you for sharing your slice of Heaven with us. Very popular so it's wise to book. Highly recommended.||||Remember to stay for the Friday local market and user the E-bikes to explore the other villages
