SongHu Hotel

We are American expats living in Hong Kong and came to Kunming area for our school’s Easter holiday. We cannot say enough about this beautiful hotel, located in a picturesque village along the northeastern coast of Fuxian Lake. Positives: 1. the location is AMAZING. The village itself feels very Mediterranean and houses over 30 boutique-style hotels. 2. This specific hotel has the most beautiful Chinese garden. My husband and I spent ample time just sitting in the garden chatting and looking at the beautiful flowers. They also have a basket swing our kids played on. 3. The design of the hotel is beautiful…..thatched roofing and wooden doors on the outside, reeded ceilings with wooden beams on the inside…..it all looked so warm and lovely. 4. Our specific room was a 2-level lake view family suite that had a terrace outside the upper level bedroom (which was the “master”). The view from this upper bedroom was so gorgeous….prime view of the lake. 5. The bathroom in our suite was modern and seemed to have some kind of heating fan over the shower area which was an added bonus. 6. The breakfast was traditional Chinese style. By this time, we were at the end of our trip and were a bit tired of rice noodles for breakfast (we are used to western-style breakfasts), but as soon as we tasted this hotel’s rice noodles, it was easy to forget we were tired of them. They were delicious! The owner also served us steamed milk and some kind of sweet steamed bread. It was all very tasty! Negatives: I truly do not have any. And I usually always have something I critique about hotels. But this place was truly a 5-star stay for us. It was gorgeous and the owner was so sweet.

我们是居住在香港的美国侨民，趁着学校的复活节假期来到昆明。这家酒店坐落在抚仙湖东北岸一个风景如画的小村庄里，我们简直赞不绝口。优点：1. 地理位置绝佳。村庄本身就很有地中海风情，拥有超过30家精品酒店。2. 这家酒店拥有一个非常漂亮的中国式花园。我和丈夫花了很多时间坐在花园里聊天赏花。花园里还有一个吊篮秋千，孩子们玩得很开心。3. 酒店的设计非常漂亮……外面是茅草屋顶和木门，里面是木梁天花板……一切都显得那么温馨宜人。4. 我们入住的是一间两层湖景家庭套房，楼上卧室（也就是主卧）外面有一个露台。从楼上卧室看到的景色美极了……可以饱览湖光山色。 5. 我们套房的浴室很现代化，淋浴区上方似乎还有暖风机，这真是个意外之喜。6. 早餐是传统的中式早餐。当时我们的旅程已经接近尾声，早餐吃米粉有点腻了（我们习惯了西式早餐），但当我们尝到这家酒店的米粉时，就立刻忘记了之前的厌倦。它们太美味了！老板还给我们上了热牛奶和一种甜馒头。一切都非常美味！缺点：我真的找不到任何缺点。我通常对酒店总会挑些毛病，但这家酒店对我们来说真的是五星级的体验。酒店环境优美，老板也非常热情友好。
