悬崖居

懸崖居-實而不華的一所民宿。雖然沒有五星級的酒店設備，卻坐擁如仙境般的景色。不受天氣限制，不需舟車勞頓，坐在陽台上，左手一杯咖啡，右手一部相機，隨時部足到造物主的精彩表演，百看不厭！再加上店主格列先生(Greg)悉心款待，用心的提議，往往有意外收穫。特別一提的是店內所提供的美食和咖啡，別有一番風味！謝謝馬生，馬太，及小小馬(宇晨)的照顧，讓我在短短三日内體會都哈尼族朋友在山上的生活！ 若懂得欣賞這獨得風格的享受，必然是物超所值！ 後記：進入懸崖居之處，要走一條小徑，若沒有月色的話，街燈便略微不夠，最好有一小電筒吧，那就萬無一失了！ Spectacular view with excellent host, an exceptional experience!! 每個房間都對著一大片梯田, 每天一起來就可以看到美景, 店主懂得英語、普通話、廣東話等, 非常貼心, 給客人推介行程, 聯絡包車, 與緻好的時候還會教客人拍攝梯田和月光, 這是一個非常特別的體驗。店內有店主拍攝的名信片和紀念品, 可以選購。唯一不足就是遠離市集, 附近缺少吃的。

这是我们全家第二次来元阳，还是住在悬崖居。这次如愿住进了龙房，阳台上无敌美景让人喘不过气来。店主格里格的咖啡依旧世界一流。赶上收稻谷，赶集，徒步。最棒的是天气凉爽，人少清净。我们住了四个晚上。

"You will either love or hate it". Those were the first words of my Greg, the host, when heading down a small 300 m slight unmarked path towards a beautiful view of the man made monument of the terraces right at your feet. The location is fantastic for making outings/hikes into the rice fields and mountain view points. |The guest house and the host himself are to inseparable elements of the same story. This is a one man operation custom made by Greg. No fuss but clean, charming and simple. No room service buttons on you no existing phone in your no flat screen television room and in this context and for me that is liberating. A great bed and a great view, its that plain and that simple. |Greg himself, is the good dedicated host that will provide you with home made bread and best coffee and simple meals. And this delivers the perfect match to a scenery just outside that marvels and humbles you.

What an incredible place! This unique guesthouse has the most breathtaking views.||||We stayed here for just one night, but I could probably stay a whole week. It's beautiful, tranquil, and just the perfect getaway from city life. ||||The balcony rooms are wonderful. With you own private viewing platform to see the terraces. It's a little funny with the bathroom on the balcony, but not a big deal. ||||Breakfast is simple and good. There is toast, eggs, yam and Chinese porridge. You can also have really fantastic freshly brewed coffee or tea. ||||The owner Greg is incredible. He's friendly and full of great information about the local area. He's also incredibly patient and listened to my super talkative dad blab on and on. ||||Cliff House is located below the road in a local village. When you get out of the car, there is a pretty steep and muddy walk for 300m. Pack light and wear good shoes. The view is absolutely worth the walk down.

真是个令人惊叹的地方！这家独特的民宿拥有令人叹为观止的美景。我们只在这里住了一晚，但我感觉我可以住上一整周。这里风景优美，宁静祥和，是远离城市喧嚣的完美去处。阳台房非常棒，拥有专属的观景平台，可以欣赏到梯田美景。浴室在阳台上有点奇怪，但并不影响入住体验。早餐简单却美味，有吐司、鸡蛋、山药和中式粥。你还可以品尝到非常棒的现煮咖啡或茶。老板格雷格人非常好，热情友好，对当地情况了如指掌。他也很有耐心，听我那超级健谈的父亲滔滔不绝地讲个不停。悬崖小屋位于当地村庄的公路下方。下车后，需要步行300米一段相当陡峭且泥泞的路程。建议轻装出行，穿舒适的鞋子。但沿途的景色绝对值得你走下去。

this guesthouse is beyond expectation, 200 degree balcony facing the terrace without any blocking, comfortable bedding. ||the owner greg is on his own, picking up, answering the phone, giving driving instructions, making breakfast, doing laundry, sight-seeing tour guide...anything! sometimes we wonder how can a single person can manage all that, and he manages them all so well. ||one more thing to mention: this is probably the only place you can have some real coffee, Greg is a real barista!||highly recommended!

这家民宿远超预期，200度阳台正对露台，视野开阔无遮挡，床铺舒适。||老板格雷格一个人包揽一切，接电话、指路、做早餐、洗衣服、带人观光……什么都做！我们有时都好奇一个人怎么能做这么多事，但他做得都那么出色。||还有一点要提：这可能是你唯一能喝到真正好咖啡的地方，格雷格是一位真正的咖啡师！||强烈推荐！

There are guesthouse and then there are the super guesthouses. Cliff House is in the second category, or maybe even some category of his own, the super friendly guesthouse. ||||In no particular order: ||- Greg who owns and runs it is prompt to rely, providing detailed and exhaustive information||- he speaks/writes fluent English which helps when like me you don't speak a word of Chinese and want to avoid any misunderstandings ||- he has a lot of personality, which may sound weird to point out, but it means I felt I was talking with an acquaintance rather then a generic hotel owner or staff (and yes, it's his place so he puts of lot of care and pride in it, as he should).||- Greg arranged everything to perfection, so a word of advise, just trust him||- he's a fantastic photographer, so it's fun to listen to his enthusiasm and get tips||- cannot beat the location||- apparently some people don't appreciate the style of his guesthouse, I loved it. Just check the photos to know if it fits you. It's super cozy, nice room, electric blanket, amazing bay window, bed side lamp, cool intentional minimalistic decor with nice touches||- Agh! And the coffee! And if Greg is able to cook for you, just say yes!

有普通的民宿，也有超级棒的民宿。悬崖小屋属于后者，或者说，它应该自成一类——超级友好的民宿。||||以下几点不分先后：||- 老板兼经营者格雷格非常可靠，会提供详尽的信息。||- 他能说一口流利的英语，这对像我这样一句中文都不会说，又不想产生任何误会的人来说非常重要。||- 他很有个性，这么说可能有点奇怪，但这让我感觉像是在和熟人聊天，而不是和普通的酒店老板或员工（没错，这是他自己的店，所以他倾注了很多心血和自豪，理应如此）。||- 格雷格把一切都安排得完美无缺，所以建议你，相信他。||- 他是一位很棒的摄影师，所以听他热情地分享拍摄心得并获得一些建议也很有趣。||- 地理位置绝佳。||- 显然有些人不太欣赏他民宿的风格，但我很喜欢。看看照片就知道合不合适了。房间超级舒适，很棒，有电热毯，漂亮的飘窗，床头灯，简约又不失精致的装饰——啊！还有咖啡！如果格雷格会做饭，那就答应吧！

The location is simply awesome, as you have from the room direct view on the rice terraces. The rooftop offers more angle to it and it is a perfect location for sunrise pictures. As the room number is limited, the roof top wont be overcrowded and there is enough space for tripods. Nothing is more comfortable when you can setup your tripod and camera an literally shoot from your bed. This is also perfect for photographers who like to do long time night exposures.||I had the sheep room which is okay for a couple or like in my case a father with his little child. The larger rooms offer more space, but the railing of the balcony is not ideal for little kids. The smaller sheep room is safer, but Greg, the owner. will tell you in advance if you tell him that you come with little kids. ||The bed was in my eyes pretty ideal, not too soft, not too hard and the quilt was light an comfortable. Definitely comfortable bedding. The shower is okay, but you has no curtain, so your toilet floor will get wet. Great is that hot water is also available at night. ||||Greg the owner is very friendly and helpful with tips. If you want to take some serious shots, I strongly recommend a driver with car through Greg who will take you to the nice places and a car is nearly a must in this area. Great is also that you can pay with Chinese bank card (Union Pay) and Chinese credit card, but not with foreign credit card. So take enough cash along when going there, as there are not many ATM's in the area. ||||The only minor downside that the breakfast was limited to boiled eggs, toast with peanut butter and the omnipresent Chinese rice soup. A little bit more variation would be nice, on the up side, Greg makes fantastic coffee and has great tea. Another big plus, he has some decent wine, so you can get a good bottle of imported red ant reasonable price. ||||Perfect for photo enthusiasts and couples or groups of friends who don't need to count pennies, as the rooms are among the more expensive ones in the area, but if you are serious about photography, it definitely pays.

地理位置简直棒极了，从房间就能直接看到梯田。屋顶露台视野更开阔，是拍摄日出的绝佳地点。由于房间数量有限，屋顶露台不会拥挤，而且有足够的空间放置三脚架。没有什么比在床上架起三脚架和相机拍摄更舒适的了。这里也非常适合喜欢长时间夜景曝光的摄影师。||我住的是羊舍，适合情侣入住，或者像我一样，一位父亲带着小孩入住。更大的房间空间更宽敞，但阳台的栏杆对小孩子来说不太安全。较小的羊舍更安全，但如果你提前告知老板格雷格你带着小孩，他会提前说明。||在我看来，床非常理想，软硬适中，被子轻薄舒适。床上用品绝对舒适。淋浴还可以，但没有浴帘，所以马桶地板会湿。值得一提的是，晚上也有热水供应。老板格雷格非常友善，乐于助人，会提供很多建议。如果你想认真拍摄一些照片，我强烈建议你通过格雷格租一辆带司机的车，他会带你去一些不错的拍摄地点。在这个地区，租车几乎是必备的。另一个优点是可以使用中国银行卡（银联）和中国信用卡付款，但不能使用外国信用卡。所以去的时候记得带足现金，因为附近ATM机不多。唯一的小缺点是早餐比较单一，只有水煮蛋、花生酱吐司和常见的中国米汤。如果能有更多选择就更好了。不过，格雷格的咖啡和茶都很棒。另一个优点是，他有一些不错的葡萄酒，你可以以合理的价格买到一瓶不错的进口红酒。这里非常适合摄影爱好者、情侣或朋友团体，因为房间价格在附近算是比较高的，但如果你真的热爱摄影，绝对物有所值。
