四川·雅安·倍特星月宾馆

I spent three nights here as part of a panda volunteer tour in September 2011. I loved the hotel. After staying in three of China's largest cities for a week, this was a nice "escape" from the big city feeling. It was wonderful to sleep with the windows open and hear nothing but crickets (or cicadas?) at night and the rooster in the morning. The location that makes it so quiet makes it very secluded. Without a car, you have access to nothing in Ya'an if you're traveling by foot. It is on the opposite side of Ya'an from the panda base at Bifengxia, so budget about 45 minutes to get there in early morning traffic through Ya'an.||||We ate at the attached restaurant for both breakfasts and dinners. All of the meals were good. Breakfast buffet was entirely Chinese though, no Western options other than fried eggs. There was coffee, but it was already milked and sugared on the hot plate. None of the restaurant staff speak English, so ordering dinner is tough without Chinese speaking assistance. That said, we still had great meals, if not exactly what we ordered.||||Free wired internet in the room, wireless internet in the lobby.||||The room was spacious and comfortable. Bed and bath were immaculately clean. The combination of a comfortable room and a quiet atmosphere was a much needed break at the midpoint of the trip. I would stay here again when I return, but would need a rental car or guide/driver to get me around.

It's quite ok to stay here if you don't expect too much. Local 4 star standard, clean, some renovation would be necessary. Nice area, clean air. Breakfast is in the next hotel, starts only at 7.30, which is a bit late when you want to leave early in the morning. Breakfast buffet better than expected with some choices for western taste, but coffee and tea is awful. Quite far from the city center, need a car to go there. Good for one night, but would not spend several days there. Good basis to visit Bi Feng Xia Panda resort and some nice old village in the area

如果你不抱太大期望的话，住在这里还是很不错的。当地四星级标准，干净，需要一些翻新。不错的地区，空气清新。早餐是在隔壁酒店，7.30才开始，对于一大早就想离开的人来说有点晚了。自助早餐比预期的要好，有一些西式口味的选择，但咖啡和茶很糟糕。距离市中心较远，需要开车前往。适合住一晚，但不会在那里呆几天。为参观碧峰峡熊猫度假村和该地区一些漂亮的老村庄提供了良好的基础

Stayed two night at the Moonstar Hotel. The service and food is wonderful. (Sme of the best food we had, however, it is a little difficult to get coffee in the morning. But you are in Chian so try the tea.) It was great to get out of the big city and be in a beautiful natural environment. It rained every night, but we slept with the windows open and it was the best sleep we had. Please note that the hotel does not have anyone that speaks English, change money or accept US credit cards. I would recommend a guide if you stay here. However, I would recommend a local guide in any city in China. My family was here for two days of volunteer work at the Bifengxia valley Giant Panda Researce and Breed Base.

酒店位于一个山上。环境很优雅。一种比较灵境的感觉。交通不是很满意，要自己叫车，山上的车比较少。不太方便。房间里面空气蛮好的，打开窗户就可以看到花。通风，采光都很不错。有叫服务员拿东西和在餐厅吃饭时，服务人员的态度都比较好。我去了雅安碧峰峡熊猫基地。

最吸引我的地方就是他们环境好。晚上也不会打扰我的睡眠，因为他在一个相当于一个军阀的大院里面，房间的大小还是可以的，设施还行，都是比较新的。房间内的装修是现代风格的。他是两层的房子，地下是客厅楼上面是卧室，上面有个大的阳光厅，就是活动型的屋顶，房间通风效果也是非常的好啦。酒店的服务还是可以的，我外出他们服务员有帮我叫过车，叫车是不收小费的。酒店的位置还是可以的，是在居民区的上顶上。出行只能打车，坐车还是方便的，酒店管帮我们叫车。周边不可以购物的因为他们在园林区那种地方的。酒店含自助的早餐，口味和种类还是蛮多的。刚进入酒店没赠送过我什么东西。我给他们提个小意见就是希望他们派个交通车，因为交通不是很方便。

We stayed at the moonstar as part of an overnight adventure out of Chengdu to go to BiFengXia (highly recommended). It is as as good as you are going to get in a tier 5 (?) china city. The rooms were clean and nice. They had wireless in the lobby and wired in the room (although i couldn't get it to work) if you unplug the TV :). The only issue w/ the rooms is that the a/c didn't work. I expect this is more a China rules thing at this time of year (ie. haven't turned it on yet but can't be certain. But thankfully, it cooled off at night and I opened the windows and listed to a nice rain in the trees all night.||||We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Dinner was quite good especially the spicy Schezuan dishes (water cooked beef our favorite). They also had cold beer - what else do you need? Breakfast was a bit more marginal but they started frying some eggs which saved the day. You can make toast w/ fried eggs. What more do you need? No - no coffee - bring your Via.

Moonstar should have been better, but it failed on too many levels. The air conditioning didn't work, the front desk did not provide good service, the lights in the room were so complicated to use that I almost slept with them on (since I couldn't turn them off.) They had no porters, but did have luggage carts. The problem was that the cart ramp was so steep getting to the elevators that it was very difficult to move the luggage. There was a sign for the sauna that didn't exist. On the plus side, the location is very pretty and the restaurant & the breakfast are OK (though nothing special.) ||||If you have another choice in Ya'an, I'd suggest trying to find a different hotel.

Moonstar 本来应该更好，但它在很多层面上都失败了。 空调坏了，前台服务不好，房间里的灯使用起来太复杂了，我几乎是开着灯睡觉的（因为我无法关掉它们）。他们没有搬运工，但确实有行李车。 问题是通往电梯的推车坡道太陡，移动行李非常困难。 桑拿房的标志并不存在。 从好的方面来说，位置非常漂亮，餐厅和早餐还可以（虽然没什么特别的）。||||如果您在雅安有其他选择，我建议您尝试寻找不同的酒店。

The hotel might have seen better times, it looks a little outdated. However, 4 stars can easily be justified:||- The restaurant served nice food. I cannot eat spicy food (bit of a problem in Sichuan). The waitress brought an iPad (!!!) with a pictured menu and gave me many not-spicy options to chose from. She hardly spoke English, we hardly speak Chinese. However, we got a really delicious dinner. ||- The rooms was very quiet, we slept with open windows and only heard cicadas. Rare thing to happen if you stay in bigger cities...||- The hotel sits on a hill and there would have been nice paths for wandering around. Unfortunately it rained heavily, so we couldn't do any such thing.

酒店可能已经过了好时光了，看起来有点过时了。然而，4 星很容易被证明是合理的：||- 餐厅提供美味的食物。我不能吃辛辣的食物（在四川有点问题）。女服务员拿来了一台 iPad（！！！），上面有一张菜单图片，并给了我很多不辣的选择。她几乎不会说英语，我们也几乎不会说中文。然而，我们得到了一顿非常美味的晚餐。 ||- 房间很安静，我们开着窗户睡觉，只听到蝉鸣声。如果你住在大城市，很少会发生这种情况...||- 酒店坐落在一座小山上，那里有很好的小路可供漫步。不幸的是，雨下得很大，所以我们不能做这样的事情。
