Binhe Quanying Hotel

We stayed here for one night on a quick visit to Jinan in early Nov 2018. I have never been among the first to stay in a new hotel so this was a good experience. It is possible that we were the first to stay in our room!||||The final finishing touches were still being completed and their was a small amount of building material outside remaining to be cleared - will add photos later. ||||We arrived late evening and checked in through our tour guide (41 guests) and this went smoothly. The staff at the counter were friendly and helpful. The hotel seems to be more a Chinese business style hotel, which is fine, but as such it doesn't have a bar, lounge area. ||||The hotel information in the room was all in Mandarin but I don't think room service for food was an option and there didn't appear to be a dining area. The Breakfast was served in an area facing the main street and not near the main foyer. the food at breakfast was only ok, I didn't try the Asian offerings and the western selection was limited. The coffee was not good and was pre-made in the pot with milk and sweetener.||||As mentioned there is no bar but there is a small shop on level 10 that sells snack and drinks including beers and sprits. However the fridges were not turned on so warm drinks was the only option. The price for a large bottle of warm beer was excellent at 4 Yuan (larger bottle) but I don't know why the fridge wasn't on.||||The room was fresh and well appointed, the bed was firm and faced the window which offered a great view of the river and Jinan. The air conditioning and Wi-Fi were both good. The bathroom was good except the toilet got blocked but this was fixed quickly by the staff (maybe still working out the kinks in the plumbing). There was no bar fridge in the room.||||Overall we had a good nights sleep and in spite of a few issues enjoyed staying here. So I feel a good rating is fair.
