Quiet antic rooms but like in the old days hard bed but good mattress not luxurious comfort but everything you need. We stayed here for three nights as we explored Pingyao. The hotel is old with many courtyards and many rooms. All of the rooms are old, but they have updated bathrooms. Having said that, some of the rooms are very small with small matching bathrooms. Ask for a room at the back of the hotel. They are not as noisy and they seem to be bigger. The restaurant is very good. The menu has pictures and prices are very good.

We stayed at this centrally located spot here for one night and the private double room was great; traditionally decorated with a comfortable bed and a good shower. What really impressed us though, was the restaurant! Everything we tried (we ate there 4 times in 2 days) was excellent .. but the winner for us was the stir fried local oat pasta with coriander and chilli. Sublime.

N37°12'09.6" E112°10'45.3" The lobby restaurant at this labyrinthine, lantern-strewn courtyard hotel is one of the best in the city and a Rough Guide favourite and Lonely Planet must-visit. With warm wooden furnishing, friendly, English-speaking and well-drilled staff and free Wi-Fi reception, this restaurant has an easy-going vibe that invites travellers to linger over their meals. The English iPad menu has photos of the dishes – a range of traditional favourites such as Píngyáo beef next to the usual meat, vegetable and tofu offerings – making ordering a snap. Local specialities have been marked with a star on the menu: their kao lao (RMB36) and their special “fried and juicy” eggplant (aubergine) dish (RMB38).||||On our first visit in August 2017, the delicious fried eggplant blew us away, with a rich spectrum of flavours and variety of textures. We never tasted something like this before. The second surprise was the amazing tasting stir-fried noodles with local oat pasta (kao lao lao). Both dishes were outright delicious. The Chinese cabbage with mushrooms (RMB26) was good.||||The next day, we returned for lunch to have nice wontons and again for dinner. We could not withstand another taste of the fabulous fried eggplant, now in combination with steamed noodles with local oat (kao lao lao) for RMB36. Comparing the fried and steamed variants, we have a personal preference for the fried variant. ||||We confirmed that the Lonely Planet and Rough Guide favourite restaurant in Píngyáo is an absolute winner. Their fried eggplant is truly amazing and do not forget to order their delicious stir-fried kao lao lao. Very recommended.

感觉非常满意，装修是那种古香古色的风格，卫生也挺不错，在平遥古城里面。服务还可以吧，态度和效率还不错。床和椅子什么的家具都是木头做的，罗汉床那种，挂蚊帐那种，是砖瓦房。价位合理。有餐厅，有山西当地的面食。房间空间还可以。

We went to this restaurant for breakfast. They have some nice Western items for breakfast of that is what you look for, but their local dishes steal the show! It has a nice atmosphere and they cater to tourists with an english menu on an iPad. They accept credit cards.

本来想定评价较高的一得客栈，无奈下手太晚，节假日期间客房都满了，最后定了这家。由于是节假日，房价怎么都砍不下来，住到客栈一看环境，还是很失望的，屋里就一个炕，一张桌子，两把椅子，很潮湿，隔音也一般。好在还有一点能站住脚，就是我们在乎的位置。客栈在一个胡同里面，虽然出门没几步就是繁华的大街，但在客栈里面还算幽静，离景区入口也不远，走5，6分钟就能到售票窗口。对于平遥本身，还是推荐去一趟的，中国第一家票号，存在文庙的唯一一个状元卷，日昇昌的由来，建筑风格，藏宝的密室，都是很吸引人的地方。来这里不能指望看到什么旖旎的风景，主要是长见识啦。

7.11.2017.We arrived at night and we had reserved and paid in advance from to 3 months a room with 2 beds. And they gave us a room of toy with a small double bed in a very narrow space, with a dirty bathroom and room door not closed well and entered the cold and damp of the old Inn. A horrible in a tourist town and commercial experience which has loaded it due to tourism and turned into a trade fair for idiots. That pain! It turned into a theme park village, screaming in Chinese with the most highs microphones and guides bothering the other tourists.

2017年11月7日。我们晚上到达，我们预订了2张床的房间，并提前支付了3个月的费用。他们给了我们一个玩具房，里面有一张小双人床，空间非常狭窄，浴室很脏，房间门关得不好，进入了寒冷潮湿的老旅馆。在一个旅游小镇和商业体验中，这是一个可怕的经历，由于旅游业的发展，它已经变成了白痴的贸易展览会。那个痛！它变成了一个主题公园村，用最高的麦克风和导游用中文尖叫，打扰了其他游客。
