江门鹤山希尔顿欢朋酒店

This was my first time at this hotel. I was excited to try a new place in Heshan and get Hilton points too!. But I was surprised when I checked in to learn they do not recognize Hilton Honors for points or upgrades. In fact, when I checked I discovered they are not even shown as a Hilton on Hilton.com. A fake Hampton by Hilton?||Check in went smoothly and the person spoke pretty good English, but that was the only time that I found a good English speaker at front desk for my stay. The staff was friendly and professional but mostly relied on their smartphones to translate.||The hotel location is pretty good and I really like the shopping mall directly across the street (50 meters) that had numerous restaurants including McDonald's. Also a 7 Eleven and several banks for ATM.||Hotel was very modern and comfortable. The room specifically was better than many US Hamptons. Virtually no English TV, but fast and free internet (just many US sites blocked).||Breakfast was nicely done and the room was large and staff were great (and most spoke better English than the front desk). Room rate was very good for the services provided,||One warning- the hotel is nearby some sort of trash transfer and recycling station that is busy and loud except on Sunday. Also the in house construction noise was loud at times. There was evidence of repairs to the rooms so I guess they were making repairs in other floors.||I would consider staying again but next time I will likely stay at Four Points by Sheraton for the points and to avoid the trash station noise.

Finally a nicer place to stay in the Heshan area, this place is marketed as a Hampton inn or Hilton properly but has no ability to associate your Hilton account. Still the showers have great water pressure, plenty of hot water, comfortable beds, internet that works and even an english speaking channel on the TV. Breakfast is limited with eggs cooked to order. Not much inter area unless you walk around the building across the street, you will find a McDonalds and a Starbucks. Make sure you have money it is not east to get to an ATM machine. The only thing I missed was not having the foot massage place within walking distance of the hotel the way you do from the Phoenix.

This is a brand new hotel, located in a relatively newer area of the town. Public transportation is absolutely not available. According to the staff, there will be a direct bus from Hong Kong to this hotel soon. The rooms are clean and in good size. Staff are helpful and eager to help. Breakfast is good, has good range of varieties. There are smoking and non-smoking levels, you can tell the staff at check in. Check in counter is at level 2, the reception at the ground level would tell you at arrival. Actually, level 2 is the main area where the gym room, conference room, and restaurant are all located. You need your room card to operate the elevator, and the card would directly send you to your room level. If your friends/family is in another level, remember to ask for another room card. Otherwise, you would do what I had to do was go to level 2 and ask staff for help. One strange thing that the hotel does was that they sent me welcome fruit at 11:00pm when I was ready to bed. Other than that, I do like this hotel very much.

This hotel is well situation for Heshan. I love the mall across the street for dinners and breakfast. Supermarket too.||This was the first time I had a bad room. The room was worn. Rugs poor, mildew smell. I was surprised as last two stays had excellent rooms. Staff were nice and buffet was pretty good.

The towels have the same Hampton font and label embroidered on them. The shampoos and soap are the same brand housed in the same plastic bottles as those in the USA. But they do NOT give Hilton points. A conversation with the front desk revealed that they are not "officially" members of Hilton. Whatever that means - I suppose we have to come to our own conclusions about the authenticity of this. Pressing the front desk. the agent said they have their "own" proprietary points network, although this network would not be open to guests who are not from China. Well, that answers that question. The room land line telephones do not work when we wanted to call from one room to another room. The instructions indicated the same process as those instructions from the US - dial 8 and follow with the room number. However - that resulted in muteness and no ringing. The front desk answered as follows: the telephones are for "display purposes" and if you would like to call from one room to another room, you will need to go downstairs and request that of the front desk. Well, there. The small refrigerators were unplugged and were there for "display purposes" as well. The walls had mold and mildew marks. They admitted there was a problem and agreed to change rooms for us. It was a bit of a disappointment, all in all.

The rooms are nice, good for the price. But the airconditioning is terrible. My first night was fine, but from the second night onwards and future stays it shuts down after a minute and despite several attempts it still didn't work. Called the manager and sent someone to fix and it was ok. But then you have to do the same thing everyday. It seems they are on auto-shutdown. The same thing happened to my colleagues and team staying in different rooms and different dates. So it wasn't just me and my room. It was the whole hotel. The restaurant was also warm and you have to ask the staff to turn on the airconditioners, they were always off!

I enjoyed my stay in Hampton hotel, the rate is good, rooms are clean and staff are amazing. Staff try to help at the max...||Just crossing the road you find a shopping area and restaurants/cafes i.e. Starbucks, Mac...||I like the room modern design, size is moderate...|I was missing having a toilet with water washer, having will make me happy.

New and clean rooms. Close to McDonalds and Starbucks in shopping mall next door incl. Watsons. You can hear construction noise but this did not really bother me. Did not have chance to try the breakfast nor dinner.
