Stayed for 2 nights en route to Shanghai. Location is absolutely fabulous, walking to temples (fei lai and Lingyin), cable car, easy and short bus routes to tea plantations and West Lake north shore. Whilst the place is characterful and better than a bog standard beige hotel, the rooms are a bit tired but perfectly setvicable. The young gentlemen on reception barely looked up when you went through and seemed keen to have as little contact with public as possible.Breakfast was tasty traditional Chinese with steamed buns, pickles and sweetcorn with vegetarian diet easily satisfied (Those who want western breakfasts may want to head into the village)Beware if you have heavy luggage, you reach the property from the main road up a flight of steps.

Place was a bit hard to find at first and had to call to get assistance. Due to zone transport limitation on weekends and holidays, you may not be able to get a taxi or e-hailing ride between 9 to 5. So plan accordingly. The place is close to Lingyin temple but there are also many other places closer or more accessible to the central area. Basic breakfast provided. Personnel are mostly friendly except for one young guy/local staff who didnt really feel like he belongs there.

The room is clean and comfortable. It is very close to the temple.
