博鳌和悦海景度假酒店

I was there during the 2018 Boao forum for Asia. It is at about 15 minutes by bus from the Forum. Hotel is clean, staff is friendly but they hardly speak English. There is a nice swimming pool. Breakfast is more “Chinese style”, but ai found some eggs, bread and jam, and the coffee was fine. The hotel has been recently acquired by a Japanese group, Narada, which is improving the standard, but still requires some maintenance to be done. The nice beach is at 5 minutes walking distance, and at 15 minutes walk (toward North) you also find a water park. Overall, a good quality/price ratio.

This is a large luxury hotel with few guests when I was there. It has 2 large high-rise sections and the rooms are enormous. Mine had a kitchen area (without equipment), balcony and attractive walk-in shower. As another reviewer states, no expense has been spared and I guess the Government has earmarked Hainan Island as a tourist destination. Development is still continuing in the area. It is about half a mile from the beach and has a good pool. There are 2 restaurants, one supposedly Western but with no service at dinnertime when we were there. Breakfast there was reasonable. The Chinese restaurant set menu dinner was adequate but short on quantity. Luckily there is a convenience store on site where we could add snacks. Staff had a smattering of English.||I considered laundry service but the price was extortionate, probably in keeping with the accommodation price although I do not have any figures as the hotel was included in the package price of my holiday

Tropical rain most of the time. Fresh seafood at Tanmen just north of the resort was great. Need a car to navigate but getting one was difficult because one needs to have a China bank account for deposit to be returned after one month. Knowing Chinese would be more easier as most do not speak English. Local restaurants and bathrooms are of a different standard as in the US though much improved from years ago at tourist sites already in China.

大部分时间有热带雨。度假村北面的潭门的新鲜海鲜非常棒。需要一辆车来导航，但要买一辆很困难，因为需要有一个中国银行账户，存款一个月后才能退还。懂中文会更容易，因为大多数人不会说英语。当地的餐馆和浴室的标准与美国不同，尽管中国的旅游景点比几年前有了很大改善。

不愧是海南的酒店，虽然在琼海，不过依然高大上，因为与博鳌亚洲论坛联系在了一起。酒店分为好几栋楼，不过都能看见海。酒店下面有4-5个温泉。遗憾的是12月份去的，天气又冷，没敢下去泡。和悦酒店的自助餐充分体现了海南特色，每一餐的水果都有番石榴，酸酸甜甜的。因为我们当时参见一个培训，好几百人，把两个自助餐厅都挤得满满的，而且还要排队吃几轮。幸好，服务员素质较好，没有因为人多而厌烦我们。酒店隔海非常近，晚饭后可以带沙滩上散步休闲。真适合养老！

整體來說算是不錯，餐飲很有海南特色，建築設計週密每個房間都有海景，地點距離博鰲鎮約一公里餘，人潮不多還算幽靜，距離白沙海灘僅5分路程，也有滨海綠帶逛逛相當不錯。唯房門鎖可能因處海邊受鹽潮影響有點不太靈光，入住時要注意。

一周海南之行的最后一晚，选择在了博鳌，根据携程的评价，在众多酒店中选择了这家。实际入住，有些失望。|酒店式公寓，离博鳌镇有段距离，没有车的话，不是很方便。|酒店客房中规中矩，能看到海。有个小插曲，乘坐电梯居然从4层掉到1层，把一电梯人吓的够呛，希望酒店做好设施维护。|不得不批评的是早餐，食物更新太慢，以至于餐厅人满为患，太让人失望了，希望酒店做好节假日预案。

The Holliyard "Resort" Hotel is a modern highrise beautifully designed hotel.||From the lobby to the bathroom,no expense has been spared on the interior design .||The bedroom was a Scandinavian style dream. marble,hardwood, stainless, steel and glass.!||The restaurant was French themed with local cuisine for us rare westerners.||The only fault was the isolation from the local restaurant/shopping area and the beach||The beautiful beach is 1 km away but lacking any accessories, functional but bare.||The local town centre was 3 kms away and the hotel taxi service was tricky.||Admittedly my lack of Chinese did not help as the hotel staff tried their utmost to assist.||This coastline is exploding with new smart 5*hotels filling the skylines.||It will take a few years for the surroundings to catch up.||With the beautifully mannered locals making all my inadequasies insignificant,this new modern Chinese island is going to become the "Sardinia" of Asia

Mattress provided were still wrapped in shipping plastic. Woke up next morning to discover that after my back went out. RCI liaison palmed off the issue even though they were the ones who wrote and confirmed the particular room.
