Considered 5-Star for a Chinese hotel, the photos represent the property well. Rooms are spacious as is the bathroom - very typical for Chinese hotel. Amusing to note that the toilet has a sensor that lifts the lid as you approach and has a blue light within bowl (for a late night trip - night light).||Asked for a non-smoking room, and as is typical, the room has obviously been smoked in and there were matches and a ash tray in room (that mysteriously disappeared after I left for dinner). Carpet worn and stained. Room clean, but the AC not really functioning. ||My breakfast included and had a limited menu but was good for what it was. ||If going by western standards, would consider this a 3+ star. Would be better if the rooms had at least new carpets. ||Note to travelers that staff is rather limited in English as a whole, but with patience they/you can figure things out.

Out of busy roads and Changshu City centre with his "look all the same" hotel, Yueshanxuan stands out for the position nearby Buddhist temple, for its old shaped architecture, built as an ancient affluent family mansion.||||The lobby impresses for the way they recreate the old times, even an old string instrument is on display. After a quick check in you walk to the lift, passing by the pond and the inner garden, exquisite.||||The room: modernity and a touch of past with ancient artifact co-exhist peacefully.||electronic reigns and helps you to adjust the lighting according to your mood and day-night time. ||By the working desk you will find a nice "dicey" thing: USB and plugs into a 6x6cm device, sparing you to look around for plugs!||||Bathroom: gorgeous. Oversized bathtube, marble in light tones everywhere. ||Modern Shower and WC fully electronic. Don't be scared once you step in and the lid opens by itself! ||||Restaurant and breakfast: excellent preparation and serving, breakfast on the 3rd floor let you catch nice picture of the nearby hills as well as the hotel garden ||||The tail of stormy weather gave a even more romantic tone with rain pouring from the sky, and leaving a misty atmosphere in the morning.
