I spent 4 nights at this hotel. The location is just a stone throw from Zhongyang ave and a short distance to Zhongyang subway station. The HongZhuang morning market is just round the corner. There are many restaurants along the same street. The hotel room and toilet looks fairly new and clean. The bedding is comfortable and toilet with auto flush system and heated seat. The shower is good, and with all amenities provided. Free self service laundry is also available.The breakfast is average, with limited choice but enough to satisfy us. The hotel receptionist are very helpful and kind eventhough they do not greet or smile often. They attend to your needs very promptly.

very good location in the heart of Harbin with all main attractions within walking distance or a short taxi ride away. Clean interiors and comfortable room size, topped off with robots to deliver your takeout (common in China's chain hotels)

Overall 9/10The hotel is located near main road. I would love to stay here again if i will travel to Harbin again. Everything is good, but the room space is not big enough

I have stayed at other green tree inn properties, but in comparison, the Green Tree Inn - Harbin Central Avenue comes up short. The room which I booked was not the cheapest option, but was very small and cramped. It was difficult to maneuver around with the bed and furnishings taking up most of whatever space the room has to offer. ||||The room's lighting is very poor: only one of the three ceiling lights works, and the reading light above the bed also doesn't work. The room is so dimly lit that it really isn't possible to do any reading or work during the evening. The carpeting is worn, the furninshings old, and the bathroom perfectly matches the size of the rest of the room; it is tiny as well. The shower is in a glassed in area, and if you make the dangerous attempt to turn around while showering, you run the risk of inadvertently turning the water temperature to extremely hot or cold. (or off, if you get off lucky).||||There is internet in the rooms, with the connection and speed adequate, but somewhat inconsistent. Also, the cord was faulty, and when i reported it to the front desk clerk, within two seconds he handed me another one (apparently this is a common complaint). However, upon returning to my room I discovered replacing the cord myself requires moving around a lot of the furniture - which isnt easy in a room this size.||||There was a Chinese-style breakfast included, but the choices were very few, no coffee or juice, and really nothing that would appeal to most western travellers. The location, however, is very good, on a side street just off the walking street. Very convenient. Unfortunately for me, I am here at a time when there is construction going on behind the hotel, which kicks off in earnest at about 4 a.m.!||||On a positive note, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the person at the front desk seems to speak English. Overall, a very good location, but while it is not a particularly expensive hotel, for similar cost you should be able to find better value. Not recommended.

We changed our flights to arrive in Harbin a day earlier. Unfortunately we were unable to get a room at our intended hotel. After a quick internet search late at night, the only hotel with a room available and at a reasonable price was the GTA - in retrospect, its availability at short notice is understood!||||Hotel staff know little English, but most paperwork has an English component so if you decide to stay here, request the deposit form for easier communication of money transactions. Secondly, they do not accept credit card, so be prepared to pay a cash deposit and room fee.||||The room and bathroom is small and the beds are hard, but that is expected. The room stank of stale cigarette including "fresh bed linen" (we were in a non smoking room), and smoking is clearly allowed as there is an ashtray by the elevator. Consequently, all our clothing now has a lovely smoke aroma and we woke with a sore throat from the heavy cigarette stench. We eventually had to open the window - and even at minus 25 degrees outside, it was a necessary decision to attempt at freshening the room up. The experience was not pleasant at all, and we were both grateful for check out so we could go to our originally booked hotel.||||Water is not supplied, so purchase water before hand. The convenience store a block and a half away sells 1.5L bottles for 4 yuen each.||||It is central and has wifi accessible in the rooms but that is the only positive in our view. Consider other options before locking in this GTA.

I was apprehensive about this hotel at first because I've read so many bad reviews on Chinese sites. Still, it was smack dab in the middle of the tourist area but not really on the main street where it's noisy and the price was very attractive. ||||I had a feeling I made the right choice when we arrived because the hotel staff was very accommodating contrary to what was reviewed. The check in process was very speedy, they even gave us 20 RMB discount coupons for Sun Island (regular price 240RMB so we only paid 220RMB) and offered to arrange a free shuttle to go to and from Ice and Snow World. ||||I'm the kind of traveller who would pay extra for cleanliness because I have allergies and I thought the room was clean enough. It's not the newest but there wasn't any funny smell. Maybe it depends on the room, we stayed at 501. ||||The biggest con would be their shower heater, I've read that the tank only has maybe 30 minutes worth of hot water before you run out and have to wait for it to boil. Again, it wasn't much of a problem for us, sometimes a girl's got to make sacrifices I just sped up my usual 30-minute shower to 15 minutes.||||Checking out equally fast as checking in, we lost our 100 RMB room deposit receipt but the front desk staff was kind enough to just print an acknowledgement receipt instead.||||Overall I had a great experience with the hotel and would totally check them out at their other locations. I hope my review helps.

It is one of the cheaper places in the center of town and it wasn't bad, but I wouldn't recommend it. The problem is that the cheap rooms really use the minimum amount of space needed. The bathroom is so tiny that you hit the tap if you move around in the shower. The pillows on the bed are right below the curtains. The bed is short and small. And the wifi in the lobby wasn't working for the three days that we stayed here. The hotel is in a good location and is one of the cheapest around, so I will give it a 3 out of five rating. But don't expect too much.

Too cold for me to visit Harbin during winter, a hotel just few steps away from the central street also the subway station is the best choice.
