居家宾馆

As mentioned before, this is more of a homestay than a hostel and it was a great experience. The owner and his son are extremley helpful (we gave our eta and the train number for collection, and once arrived in Luoyang realised we were about 2 hours early from our eta, we were preparing ourselves to snooze at the train station, but the son was waiting for us already, at 5.30am!). The beds were extremely comfortable, expect to be late to sights! We were provided with coffee every morning. We would have been competely lost trying to book train tickets or getting a bus to the Shaolin temple without the help that the owner and his son have given us! Great experience all around, the only drawback is the location, but enough public transport goes near and after being walked to and from the bus stops a couple of times, we found our way easy enough ourselves! Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Luoyang :-) Also, a very clean hostel, the bathroom was spotless, the sheets and towels clean and the hot shower was great too, not a combination we have encountered before :-)

如前所述，这更像是一家民宿，而不是一家青年旅舍，体验非常棒。老板和他的儿子非常乐于助人（我们告知了预计到达时间和车次，等他们来接我们。到达洛阳后，我们才发现比预计到达时间早了大约两个小时，正准备在火车站小憩一会儿，结果他儿子早上5点半就来接我们了！）。床超级舒服，不过要小心，去景点可能会晚点！每天早上都提供咖啡。如果没有老板和他的儿子的帮助，我们订火车票或坐公交车去少林寺肯定完全找不到方向！总体来说体验很棒，唯一的缺点就是位置有点偏，不过附近有很多公共交通工具，我们自己步行往返了几次公交车站后，就很容易找到了路！不会住在洛阳的其他地方:-)此外，这是一家非常干净的旅馆，浴室一尘不染，床单和毛巾干净，热水淋浴也很棒，这是我们以前从未遇到过的组合:-)

We had an amazing time here, was more like staying with a Chinese family than at a hostel but that was great, beds were the softest in China so far, and the rooms probably the best we've stayed in too, and great value. We could cook which was great, and the owner also cooked a delicious meal for us. Location bit out of town, but only 10 minutes to the bus stop and actually a really friendly, "real China" neighbourhood. Spotless. Hot showers (although shared) Stairs keep you fit! Thanks so much!

我们在这里度过了一段美好的时光，感觉更像是住在一个中国家庭里，而不是住在青旅里，但这真的很棒。床是迄今为止在中国住过的最软的，房间也可能是我们住过的最好的，而且性价比很高。我们可以做饭，这点很棒，老板还为我们做了一顿美味的饭。位置有点偏远，但到公交车站只需10分钟，而且周围环境非常友好，是“真正的中国”社区。一尘不染。热水淋浴（虽然是共用的）楼梯让你保持健康！非常感谢！

This is more of a home stay advertised as a hostel. The owner is really nice and came to pick me up from the station, but as I approached his place (small flat on the top floor of a residential complex), I really thought it was a crime waiting to happen. I arrived earlier so my room wasn't ready - you basically sit in a small waiting room with a sofa (which is the bed of the amateur volunteer hostel recruit the owner manages to get). It was a very strange experience.||The owner sleeps on a mattress on the floor of the kitchen, sometimes drinks and speaks loudly to other hostel guests at night. As others have mentioned, don't expect privacy and space here. It's a small neighbourhood apartment converted in to a guesthouse. Lots of great restaurants closeby, but public transport is difficult. Despite knowing how to speak mandarin, I was glad a couple of Chinese travellers were staying at the time so we could travel around together. We ended up leaving the guesthouse and finding somewhere else to stay together! Phew...||There's apparently another hostel in Luoyang that is much better - unfortunately it was booked out whilst I was there.

这家旅馆其实更像是一家民宿，广告上说是旅馆。老板人很好，还来车站接我。但当我走近他的住处（位于住宅区顶层的小公寓）时，我真心觉得这简直是一场犯罪。我到得比较早，所以房间还没准备好——基本上就是坐在一个带沙发的小候诊室里（沙发是老板好不容易招来的一位业余志愿者宿舍的床）。这是一次非常奇怪的经历。||老板睡在厨房地板上的床垫上，有时晚上还会喝酒，还和其他旅馆客人大声说话。正如其他人提到的，别指望这里有隐私和空间。这是一间由社区小公寓改建而成的宾馆。附近有很多很棒的餐厅，但公共交通不太方便。尽管我会说普通话，但我很高兴当时有几位中国游客住在那里，这样我们就可以一起四处游玩了。最后，我们离开了宾馆，找到了其他地方一起住！呼...||洛阳显然还有另一家更好的旅馆——不幸的是，我去的时候它已经被订满了。

Overall a good experience. I was a bit daunted at first by the long and expensive taxi ride from the train station and the seven flights of stairs to get to the flat. Feelings that this might not be the best location continued when buses to get to my two main sites (Longmen Caves and Shaolin Temple) took several hours. The owner was very helpful though and kept a very clean and friendly place. His directions to Longmen Caves are either out of date or my running around looking for a transfer bus was my own fault - worth checking this with him.||||Upside to the location - very cheap and tasty local food nearby and cheap electronics etc. shops. Also had an AMAZING hotpot for dinner, I just used Baidu maps to find it, it was listed 5 mins away and 5 stars rated.

总体来说，体验不错。一开始，从火车站打车到公寓要坐好久好贵的，还要爬七层楼梯，这让我有点儿害怕。后来，我坐公交车去两个主要景点（龙门石窟和少林寺）花了好几个小时，感觉这里位置不太好。不过，房东非常乐于助人，把房子打扫得干干净净，态度也很好。他提供的去龙门石窟的路线要么过时了，要么就是我到处找换乘巴士的错——这点值得跟他确认一下。||||地理位置不错——附近有很多物美价廉的当地美食，还有便宜的电子产品商店等等。晚餐还吃了一顿超赞的火锅，我用百度地图找到的，就在5分钟路程之外，而且评分5星。

A three room hostel on the top floor of a residential apartment building, this hostel was a warm and friendly place for a traveler like me. I came with two Chinese friends, so we shared a room for three for 40 yuan each. A great value. The proprietor was very friendly although he spoke very little english. I'd highly recommend it to any traveler passing through Luoyang.

这家旅馆位于一栋住宅公寓楼的顶层，共有三间房间，对于像我这样的旅行者来说，这里温馨友好。我和两位中国朋友一起来，所以我们三人合租了一间房，每人40元。非常划算。老板虽然英语不太流利，但非常友好。我强烈推荐这家旅馆给所有路过洛阳的旅行者。

we found this place on the web. and instead of going through hostelworld, we did a verbal confirmation to book 3 beds.||||the only issue about this hostel is the location. it's relatively difficult to locate but the owner and his son can arrange to bring you from the train station. or simply show your address to the taxi driver. it is located in a residential area and you do get the best local stay you can ever get. ||||the picture of the room is exactly what i saw. clean and tidy. on the day of our arrival, there were 2 people checking out, so the owner offered us to use the entire place for the same price as it was the off peak season. ||||he was really friendly and helpful. there's a good and cheap local chinese restaurant about 15 mins walk away. however, do bring a torch with you as the the dirt path might be dark but not too dangerous in my opinion.

We stayed 4 nights, our host was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We felt right at home, the area is a great place to be, a lovely local atmosphere with lots of food to choose from. The bus system is very easy and convenient for all of Luoyang's attractions.

我们住了四晚，房东非常友好热情，乐于助人。我们感觉就像在家一样，这里环境优美，当地氛围宜人，美食种类繁多。公交线路便捷，前往洛阳所有景点都非常方便。

We had a great stay here. The owner is extremely friendly & very helpful. He made sure we were on the right buses to Shaolin temple & Longmen caves. He even got us chinese takeaway when we arrived! Thoroughly recommended! a chance to see how real chinese people live
