Citrus Cutie House

This farmstay is located a convenient distance from Shanghai. It’s a fun little weekend getaway for families with young kids. There’s a restaurant on the farm that serves good Chinese food. The petting zoo and children’s playground are also fun experiences. As a nice plus, the farm backs on the Changxing Island Country Park. If you walk out the back gate, you’re literally in the country park. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. Their tangerine-flavored latte, served at the cafe near the petting zoo, was especially good. It’s probably better to go on a weekend. We stayed Sunday night to Monday, and it was really quiet and staff was sparse. We had to call the hotel while standing at the reception desk and ask for someone to come and check us in. There was no one at the restaurant in the morning for breakfast, so we had to call the hotel and ask them to send someone to open the restaurant. We also had to call someone to come to the reception desk to check out. That being said, the staff were friendly and nice. While they said they could take foreigners, it’s best to have a Chinese-speaker in your party. It’s definitely very laid back and casual and rural-farm-paced. It’s a very pleasant stay, as long as you’re not in a rush.

这家农家乐离上海很近，交通便利，是带小孩的家庭周末度假的好去处。农场里有一家餐厅，提供美味的中餐。动物园和儿童游乐场也很有趣。更棒的是，农场紧邻长兴岛郊野公园，从后门出去就直接进入郊野公园了。酒店房间干净舒适。动物园附近的咖啡馆供应的橘子拿铁特别好喝。周末去可能更好。我们周日晚上住到周一，那天很安静，工作人员也很少。我们不得不站在前台打电话，请人来帮我们办理入住。第二天早上餐厅没人，我们也得打电话请他们派人来开门。退房的时候也一样，我们得打电话请人来前台。不过，总的来说，工作人员都很友好热情。虽然他们说可以接待外国人，但最好同行者中有人会说中文。这里的生活节奏非常悠闲自在，很有乡村农场的氛围。只要你不赶时间，住在这里会非常愉快。
