Mr. Wang, the owner, speaks English and was very helpful. He spoke with the taxi driver to ensure he dropped us off in the right location so he could meet us and walk us to our accommodation. Our large room was decorated with traditional Chinese furniture. The room itself was rustic – no screens on the windows, gaps between the roof and the walls. However, it was outfitted with modern amenities such as wifi, an air conditioner, a large screen tv and a modern bathroom with excellent water pressure. ||||Or host was showed us around the room and gave us a general orientation to the city. Upon our departure, he walked us out of the old city and helped locate a cab to drive us back to Shanghai. ||||I would definitively stay here again and recommend this place. It is a little pricey but a nice change of pace from the chain hotels and fit right in with the feel of the city.
