大理自然之韵

Hidden Garden is really a very comfortable, well appointed family home, close to the Old Town centre, suitable not only for couples or singles, but especially for travelling families with children. The spacious rooms are all ensuite with terrific views over Dali, the enclosed courtyard incudes a safe trampoline and children's playroom with a climbing wall. The languages spoken are Chinese, Dutch, English and the atmosphere relaxed and inclusive. The owners Stefan and May have two delightful young children who clearly enjoy the many young visitors. Breakfasts are a great opportunity to mix, with Stefan's homemade bread and homemade yoghurt a real pleasure. I've stayed here many times, and recommend it completely. Real value for money.

隐秘花园是一栋非常舒适、设施齐全的家庭住宅，靠近老城区中心，不仅适合情侣或单身人士，尤其适合带孩子的家庭旅行。宽敞的客房均配备独立卫浴，并可欣赏到大理的绝佳景色。封闭式庭院内设有安全的蹦床和带攀岩墙的儿童游戏室。主人会说中文、荷兰语和英语，氛围轻松友好。主人斯特凡和梅有两个可爱的孩子，他们显然很喜欢接待众多小客人。早餐是与客人交流的好机会，斯特凡自制的面包和酸奶尤其令人垂涎。我曾多次入住，强烈推荐。物超所值。

Hidden Garden Guesthouse is really like staying in someone's home...with benefits. A beautiful Bai style building not far from the Old Town and built for comfort. All rooms have spacious ensuites, the beds are truly great, the sheets etc good quality and very clean. I felt I could almost touch the mountains from the rooftop area, and all rooms that I saw had lovely views. The first floor ( not ground floor) has a wonderful cosy sitting room with wide big windows overlooking Erhai and the Old Town. The owners are really helpful, a lovely Chinese woman Mei, and her Dutch husband Stefan. Both speak great English. Breakfast can be ordered...and Stefan makes bread European style. ( not sweet) each time I visit Dali, I stay here. I thoroughly recommend it.

隐园客栈真的就像住在朋友家一样……而且还有诸多便利。这是一栋美丽的白式建筑，距离古城不远，设计舒适。所有房间都设有宽敞的独立卫浴，床铺非常舒适，床单等用品品质上乘且干净整洁。站在屋顶露台，我感觉仿佛触手可及群山，而且我参观过的所有房间都拥有绝佳的视野。二楼（不是一楼）有一个温馨舒适的客厅，透过宽大的窗户可以俯瞰洱海和古城。店主非常热情好客，一位是和蔼可亲的中国女士梅，她的荷兰丈夫是斯特凡。他们两人都能说一口流利的英语。早餐可以预订……斯特凡还会亲手制作欧式面包（不甜）。每次来大理，我都会住在这里。我强烈推荐这家客栈。

Stefan, May and Alina (new born baby) are your hosts in this small and cosy guesthouse. The centre court of the Hidden Garden is not the garden, but the big kitchen table where amazing conversations, drinks, breakfasts are held.||May is from inner Mongolia and Stefan is Dutch. It is great fun talking to them. They have so many stories. Stefan’s breakfast is out of this world. We had cheese, fresh bread, muesli, yoghurt, fruit etc. etc. A real treat. ||The rooms are not particular big but nicely decorated and comfortable. Hidden Garden has the perfect location just a step outside the gates. Within 3 minutes your in the old town. It’s home away from home and their baby Alina is the cutest ever. ||||So if you have the chance, book a room here, it’s not only an accommodation for a good nigh rest, it offers so much more.

Stefan、May和他们刚出生的宝宝Alina是这家温馨小旅馆的主人。Hidden Garden的中心并非花园，而是那张宽敞的厨房餐桌，大家在这里畅谈、享用饮品和早餐，其乐融融。May来自内蒙古，Stefan是荷兰人。和他们聊天非常愉快，他们有很多故事可以分享。Stefan的早餐简直令人惊艳，我们享用了奶酪、新鲜面包、麦片、酸奶、水果等等，真是美味极了。房间虽然不大，但装饰精美，舒适宜人。Hidden Garden地理位置绝佳，就在城门外，步行三分钟即可到达老城区。这里就像家一样温馨，他们的宝宝Alina更是可爱至极。所以，如果您有机会，一定要在这里预订一间客房，它不仅能让您好好休息，还能带给您更多惊喜。

Great communication from Stefan prior to our arrival. Pick up from/drop off to Xiaguan can be arranged. Spacious comfortable bedroom with kettle, mugs & tissues (yay!). Window had views to Cangshan Mountain. Our bedroom adjoined a lounge area with books to read. Selection of teas provided for guests to help themselves to. Sleep quality good as the guesthouse is located in a residential area. Terrific breakfast of cereal, yoghurt, homemade bread, spreads - great coffee! Only a short walk to the old town. Stefan & May were helpful with suggestions for restaurants, cafes, sights. An added bonus was engaging with their 2 delightful children! Highly recommended.

This hotel was an extreme pleasure and delight to stay at. The family that runs it is extremely hospitable, caring, and very friendly. They made me feel completely at home. The rooms are large and comfortable, the bathrooms modern and very clean, and the beds are very comfortable, I slept 8 hours on each of my two nights, which I very rarely do. They also served high quality coffee which is a rarity in China. The hotel is just a 10-minute walk to the center of Old Dali, and well worth the effort. In addition to being great hosts, they also gave me some very valuable advice on planning the rest of my China travels. I also booked their sister hotel in Lijiang called The Garden Inn (separate review). I highly recommend this hotel in Dali.

这家酒店的入住体验非常棒，令人愉悦。酒店主人一家热情好客、体贴周到，待人友善，让我感觉宾至如归。房间宽敞舒适，浴室现代干净，床铺也十分舒适，我连续两晚都睡了8个小时，这对我来说非常难得。酒店还提供高品质的咖啡，这在中国实属难得。酒店距离大理老城中心仅需步行10分钟，绝对值得一去。除了热情好客之外，他们还为我规划接下来的中国之旅提供了许多宝贵的建议。我还预订了他们在丽江的姐妹酒店——花园酒店（另有评论）。我强烈推荐这家位于大理的酒店。

Before talking about the comfy beds, the family atmosphere, the delicious breakfast... One advice: be prepared to have a flexible timeframe! This is one place you might end up staying longer than you intended ;-)||May and Stefan run this guesthouse in a very personal and open yet professional way. Expect lots of travel- and other stories around the central dining-table, a late night tea or fresh pressed coffee, great tips on local sights and eateries, lounging in the cozy sofas upstairs, and adorable morning smiles by supercute 10-month-old Alina. ||Allthough the location just outside the ancient city was a bit tricky to find at first (rely on Stefan's directions!), it is conveniently close to town whilst super-quiet at night.||Perfect concept + quiet surroundings + May, Stefan and Alina + bright rooms = the best place we stayed in China.

We were only here for one night but it was a great night. May was more than welcoming and helpful. She sent us in the directions we wanted to go. Rooms were comfortable. some local noises like a rooster in the morning but it made the stay feel like we were really in real Dali. The breakfast was delicious with May's homemade bread and yogurt. One of the best breakfasts I have had! When we came back through Dali for a day May offered us her help while we were passing through. A great China experience!

我们只在这里住了一晚，但那晚非常愉快。May热情好客，乐于助人。她给我们指路，告诉我们想去的地方。房间很舒适。虽然早上会听到一些当地的噪音，比如公鸡的啼叫，但这反而让我们感觉仿佛置身于真正的达理。早餐非常美味，有May自制的面包和酸奶。这绝对是我吃过的最棒的早餐之一！后来我们再次途经达理时，May主动提出要帮助我们。这是一次非常棒的中国之旅！

We enjoyed our stay so much with Stefan, Mae, Nick and gorgeous baby Alina at the Hidden Garden Guesthouse. While the house is very nice and handy to both the old town and Cangshan mountain, the highlight was the wonderful hospitality around the big communal dining table, being made to feel like special family friends. We were very sad to leave after three nights.

我们在隐园客栈和Stefan、Mae、Nick以及可爱的宝宝Alina度过了非常愉快的时光。客栈本身就很漂亮，而且去古镇和苍山都很方便，但最让我们难忘的是大家围坐在宽敞的公共餐桌旁，感受到的热情款待，让我们感觉像家人朋友一样。住了三晚之后，我们依依不舍地离开了。
