SongHu Hotel

We are American expats living in Hong Kong and came to Kunming area for our school’s Easter holiday. We cannot say enough about this beautiful hotel, located in a picturesque village along the northeastern coast of Fuxian Lake. Positives: 1. the location is AMAZING. The village itself feels very Mediterranean and houses over 30 boutique-style hotels. 2. This specific hotel has the most beautiful Chinese garden. My husband and I spent ample time just sitting in the garden chatting and looking at the beautiful flowers. They also have a basket swing our kids played on. 3. The design of the hotel is beautiful…..thatched roofing and wooden doors on the outside, reeded ceilings with wooden beams on the inside…..it all looked so warm and lovely. 4. Our specific room was a 2-level lake view family suite that had a terrace outside the upper level bedroom (which was the “master”). The view from this upper bedroom was so gorgeous….prime view of the lake. 5. The bathroom in our suite was modern and seemed to have some kind of heating fan over the shower area which was an added bonus. 6. The breakfast was traditional Chinese style. By this time, we were at the end of our trip and were a bit tired of rice noodles for breakfast (we are used to western-style breakfasts), but as soon as we tasted this hotel’s rice noodles, it was easy to forget we were tired of them. They were delicious! The owner also served us steamed milk and some kind of sweet steamed bread. It was all very tasty! Negatives: I truly do not have any. And I usually always have something I critique about hotels. But this place was truly a 5-star stay for us. It was gorgeous and the owner was so sweet.

我们是居住在香港的美国侨民，来到昆明地区过我们学校的复活节假期。对于这家位于抚仙湖东北岸风景如画的村庄的美丽酒店，我们无法用言语来形容。优点： 1. 位置很棒。村庄本身就很有地中海的感觉，拥有30多家精品风格的酒店。 2. 这家酒店拥有最美丽的中国花园。我和我丈夫花了很多时间坐在花园里聊天，看着美丽的花朵。他们还有一个我们的孩子可以玩的秋千。 3.酒店的设计很漂亮……外面是茅草屋顶和木门，里面是芦苇天花板和木梁……一切看起来都是那么温馨可爱。 4. 我们的具体房间是两层湖景家庭套房，上层卧室（即“主卧室”）外面有一个露台。这间上层卧室的景色非常美丽……湖景一览无遗。 5.我们套房的浴室很现代，淋浴区似乎有某种加热风扇，这是一个额外的好处。 6.早餐是传统的中式早餐。此时，我们的行程已接近尾声，对早餐的米粉有些厌倦了（我们习惯了西式早餐），但一尝到这家酒店的米粉，就很容易忘记我们的存在。厌倦了他们。它们很好吃！老板还给我们端来了热牛奶和一些甜馒头。一切都非常好吃！缺点：我真的没有。我通常总是对酒店有一些批评。但这个地方对我们来说确实是五星级的住宿。它太漂亮了，主人也很可爱。
