Also loved it. Very nice living roomie common area with a massive TV where I enjoyed a movie. Google maps has the right location for this one, uncommon in China :)

The two nights I spent here were the highlight of my 6 week trip in China. The owner is an extremely nice person. He will make your stay as comfortable as he possibly can. The hotel is located extremely close to the Gubeikou Great Wall. The owner and other guests (who are most likely there to hike) will help you with tips on where to go and how to prepare for your hike on the Great Wall. Food is also provided in the hotel and the menu had plenty of dishes to choose from. Cold drinks are available as well. What was most memorable to me was the Tea Ceremony. The other guests and the owner sat down together and tasted different kinds of tea. The owner told us all some background information. We all felt connected during that moment, even though we had just met each other. Coming back from our hikes, the different guests sat together in the common room and shared our experiences. It felt like we had known each other longer than just one day. No other hostel or hotel gave me this amazing feeling. I will definitely return in a few years and hope to meet another set of great people.
