南湖宾馆

I remember this place being guarded by armed soldiers back in the days when I grew up in Changchun. It hosted many top officials from China and many other countries. It was a surprise to see it open to the public now. We had a great experience staying there. This compound is unique in that it sits on a large piece of land with lakes, walking paths and bridges. This hotel is old but beautifully maintained over the years. It is quiet at night, a nice change from the busy city. The breakfast buffet doesn't have many Western options, but very good regardless. Friendly staff.

應該是選擇的房型的緣故，雖然有窗但被建築物完全遮蓋，半地下室似的~~裝潢、設施比較老舊了但好在都實用，住宿體驗而言總體還行。很溫馨的是酒店提供免費的專車導覽服務，有司機師傅為我們講解這個老牌酒店的歷史與輝煌，雖然沒能偶遇梅花鹿，但也很開心咯~~另外酒店對面是個公園，旁邊有大面積的冰湖，早上還能看老人家們游冬泳。

This is an excellent property and we will stay here again. The service is great and the location very good. The breakfast is also very good, although they could have a few more western options. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are professional and elegant. Th only other suggestion is to upgrade their exercise room. All in all, highly recommended.

My husband and I visited Changchun and stayed at the hotel for closed to 10 nights in September 2016.|The room is spacious and clean. Felt very safe as the hotel is guarded by police officers, 24/7. |Traveling to downtown is very convenient as the public transport is very affordable at RMB $1 per trip and rather efficient. |There's room for improvement in their customer service. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.|||

I stayed here for 4 nights for a conference in Changchun. I was told that political dignitaries stay here when they visit this city including Kim Jong Il. As a state hotel, it is very grand with communistic architecture. Basically, huge columns, high ceiling, grand entrances showing strength and stability. There are two military guards on the South Gate main entrance to add to the military feel. It is located next to another huge lake outside the property. There are a lot of people walking around the lake at night during summer. Nice atmosphere. You really need a car to move around. My room is of a nice size without being overwhelming. Nice decor. It is all you need in a hotel. Nicely appointed. There are a lot of choice for breakfast, well mainly Chinese food. Overall, I like staying here. It cost me US200 a night.

We stayed in a large, columned building. The hotel lobby could have had more seating, but this is a minor complaint. Our room faced the woods, so in the morning, we awakened to a deer peering through the window, birds singing, and ducks quacking. The hotel was so quiet, we might have thought we were the only guests if it had not been for the numerous cars parked in front. There are trails that run through the woods, and down to the lake for hiking. We loved it!||||In the evening, we walked a short way to the hotel building where we had a marvelous buffet: sushi, Mongolian hot pot, hand made noodles, shellfish, seafood, and various dishes from around China. Although the chefs did not speak much English, it was not difficult to indicate what items we wanted. Everything was tasty, freshly made, and filling. When we left, it was pouring rain, so we borrowed umbrellas at the desk for the walk back to our hotel. Nice touch!||||The hotel is away from the city, supposedly a retreat for Party leaders and dignitaries from other countries, like N. Korea. It is handicapped accessible, at least on the first floor where we stayed. There is an elevator to the 2nd floor. All in all, I wish we could have stayed longer, but, quite honestly, there isn't much to do in Chanchun after visiting Puyi's palace and poking around the produce market.

南湖宾馆应该说是吉林省的国宾馆啦，所以条件自然是没得说了。宾馆被郁郁葱葱的绿树包围，而且紧邻风景秀丽的南湖，早上起来走出房间到湖边树林中做一做深呼吸，那种沁人心脾的舒畅感真是难于言表啊。在一个城市的中心地带能有这样一个风景如画的地方真是令人难以置信，难怪这个宾馆有着都市森林宾馆的美誉，真是一个颐养身心的休闲胜地啊。|房间宽敞明亮，卫生条件也不错，床单、卫生间马桶看起来感觉都比较干净，估计是新装修过，房间内的设施都比较新，但并没有新装修的味道。床的软硬适度。服务员的态度热情，服务也很周到。
