青城山六善酒店

I’ve written 130 TA reviews so I would consider myself an experienced traveler. I am surprised the hotel scores so well in TA. This is the first Six Senses I’ve stayed at although I have stayed in a number of other luxury resorts. In a lot of Thai/Balinese/Maldives resorts, the welcome is fairly elaborate with cool towels, drinks etc. In this instance there was nothing but worse, I was left at the entrance (just a single gentleman) for some time while they tried to get me a buggy to bring me to reception. The reception area is actually a decent size but they don’t really use it and I was directed to 2 young ladies at a small reception desk who seemed a bit confused and struggled to speak English. The guests seemed to be over 95% locals which may be why they didn’t bother to get English speaking staff. It also took ages for my bag to get to my room. On the plus side the hotel grounds were huge and beautiful. They assign everyone a ‘butler’. I communicated with mine via WeChat and this was fine. You contact your butler to settle everything for you. The food at the restaurants was good too. The standout feature was the Guest Experience Officer Vanilla. I notice almost all the reviews mention her. I did 2 excursions with her and she really tries hard to make sure you enjoy your time there. The reception aside, I would have wanted to give the hotel a better rating but the bathroom lights stopped working on the last night of my 3 night stay. Fortunately I had a good torch since I didn’t want to call housekeeping in at midnight.

This is our first time visiting to this hotel as well as Qing Cheng Mountain area. We stayed for one week and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay especially we have been looked after very well by both Sofia and Edison. Sofia gave us a very good welcome and provided good tips for where to go and where to eat. We followed all her suggestions and found all enjoyable places and food . Edison also helped with our room and ensure that we have a very good and comfortable room. Both Sofia and Edison are top rated staff and gave us a nice and pleasant stay.

Such a good stay here at the Six Senses! We did a family trip with our 2 small kids and loved our experience. This is a great base for exploring pandas and visiting Chengdu, strongly recommend! We don't speak Chinese but everyone we interacted with at the hotel was incredible. ||In particular - we loved the indispensable help we got from Angus for pretty much anything we needed - he was super responsive and attentive to our needs. Vanilla took us around to a couple of panda excursions, and she's such an expert! Chef Allen was around a lot to make sure we were well taken care of at the hotel's restaurants. ||Look forward to coming back some day!

酒店位置很好，交通很方便，房间设施挺好的，房间非常干净整洁，床垫非常柔软、舒适，东西比较齐全，服务挺好的，很用心，服态度好，特别是管家对我们服务响应也是非常及时。六善是一个值得入住的酒店。有机会再来体验。建议，房间的吹风机有点重。

If you stay in Cheng Du. Highly recommend you, all my friends and family stay in Six Senses Qingcheng Mt. Which is a perfect resort with perfect view and stuff. Especially mentioned to Vanilla Tang who is the Guest Experience Manager, very professional with all the scenic sights. We book a three days tour with her. A family with 2 kids. Our child is very naughty, but she is very patient to make the child happy, and can also use the way of children to tell children about the culture of pandas. We participated in the Wolong and Panda Valley activities and were very, very satisfied that she knew when and where to see the more active and lovely pandas.

很喜欢六善的环境，在青城山下，沉浸在绿色中。特别喜欢酒店里面的各种菜园子，逛了很久！早餐也很赞，西餐厅的欢欢，以及Sofia服务特别好很贴心！

We came to Chengdu mainly to experience the volunteering program with pandas and decided in staying at Six Senses, because we have stayed in other Six Senses properties that we loved.||Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain is a nice property but not at the luxury level of the other Six Senses properties that we have stayed at, it does feel more like a convention resort hotel rather than a true luxury property.||Staff were attentive and even though the majority have very limited English, we were able to communicate for the most part.||Breakfast was pretty good with a good selection of different items. The Chinese and Thai restaurants were excellent.||We debated what room to get and ultimately decided on getting the most basic one, because all the other ones seemed to have limited views, our room had nice mountain views, the higher category rooms seemed not to have any views.||We had a deep tissue massage at the spa, which was really good, I had the impression that the spa had more wellness facilities and it was very limited to just the treatment rooms and a sauna. There is an indoor pool, however the facilities seemed outdated. For such a large resort, a larger spa with hot sauna, jacuzzi, pool would be expected to have a proper wellness experience.||The room was quite nice, however the lighting of the bathroom was terrible, you could barely see your face in the mirror, also the selection of TV channels in English was limited to 2 channels.||We had a great excursion organized by Vanilla for the panda volunteering program. Just be aware that even though it was a great experience and we observe the pandas close by being fed, there is no panda feeding or interaction, as it is not allowed anymore. This is important as many people will come to the area just to do that and even our limited interaction might not always be possible.||As a summary is a nice hotel, but don't expect the same level of luxury as other Six Senses resorts and the price reflects that as well. The rooms are well priced, however activities, transportation etc seemed priced high in comparison.
