从院子到客房，每一处细节都能看出主人的用心之处，虽然价格有点儿小贵，但是食物真的是很美味，无论是早餐还是晚餐，绝对都能够带给你一份惊喜。老板娘自酿的果酒甜蜜爽口，让人印象无比深刻。

This is a very simple, although charming chinese house, completely renovated with an exquisite taste, to host only a small number of guests. Don't imagine anything grand, but do think charming, delightful taste, old style in a modern version, classical but renewed. Iris is the person that manages all, coming from a Taiwan but having established in this historic village years ago: they bought and completely renovated the old castle, making it a lovely place to stay in. Very convenient location, just a few minutes from the Moon Pond, but in a very quiet location. Lady that helped Iris does not speak english, but is really sweet and helpful. There are different rooms with quite different prices, we stayed on two of the least expenses ones, which were perfect, but we were shown the most expensive rooms and they were exquisite!!! stay there if budget allows.

这是一栋非常简单但迷人的中式房屋，经过全面翻修，品味高雅，只接待少数客人。不要想象任何宏伟的事物，而是要考虑迷人的、令人愉快的品味、现代版本的旧风格、古典但更新。 Iris 是负责管理一切的人，她来自台湾，但多年前就在这个历史悠久的村庄落脚了：他们购买并彻底翻新了这座古老的城堡，使其成为一个可爱的住宿地点。位置非常方便，距离月池，却是在一个非常安静的地方。帮助艾里斯的女士不会说英语，但非常友善和乐于助人。不同的房间价格差别很大，我们住的是两间费用最低的房间，非常完美，但我们看到的是最贵的房间，而且很精致！如果预算允许的话就住在那里。

My family stayed here for 2 nights to get away from Hefei for the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The actual hotel is over 400 years old. The house if one of the most exquisite in all of Hongcun. The patio is delightful. The rooms are small but very well appointed. The beds are firm Chinese beds and there are some worn aspects around the room but completely as to be expected in such a historical inn. All my family, aged 4 to 69 years old, were in love with this place. The owners were extremely welcoming and very helpful in finding food and transportation around the area. Highky recommended!

We were very disappointed with this hotel, having read positive reviews of it. The hotel itself was very difficult to reach and find; we were coming from Huangshan mountain and were told that there were no buses. We had read on Tripadvisor and in the Lonely Planet that the hotel’s owner, Iris, spoke good English and could assist with arranging travel. However, we rang the hotel several times for advice on how to reach it and no one spoke English, nor did anyone know of Iris. ||||We finally reached the hotel late in the day and the receptionist then insisted that we pay for our room in full on arrival, and then announced that (1) the hotel could only accept a Chinese credit or debit card, so foreigners could only pay with cash; and (2) that the town did not have an ATM which would accept a foreign credit or debit card (which we subsequently tested and found that she was right). Our booking confirmation with C Trip did not indicate that the hotel could only accept cash from foreign guests. This left us in a bind: we could afford to pay in cash, but then would not have enough money to do any of the activities we had planned to do for the two days we were in Hongcun. ||||The room itself was inadequate. The bathroom, despite being quite large, only had one working light (above the sink). The other 5 lights did not work. This meant we had to shower in the dark. The bathroom also did not have any soap. There were no electricity outlets in the bedroom. ||||In the morning, we were unapologetically told that the hotel was not serving breakfast because of a Chinese public holiday. Again, the room rate specifically included the cost of breakfast.||||We also tried to get help to book onward travel (with the aid of a translation app), but could not find any staff who were able to help.||||In short, the service was terrible, the hotel was very over-priced and the experience ruined our 2 days in the area, as we could not afford to visit any of the surrounding villages or sights (or even afford to leave the village as we could not afford to pay the Y104 entrance fee again). We also spoke to two Chinese guests, who said they had had similar bad experiences at the hotel. It seems that the hotel has changed owners and the new management is self-evidently much worse. The only redeeming virtue of the hotel is the building and the garden, both of which are lovely. This was the worst hotel we stayed in during our trip in China; avoid it.

Probably one of the most beautiful place we've seen in China. But the room was not worth the price : hot water (for bathroom) was only available on demand, toilet seat was broken, bathroom was separated from bedroom by a single curtain, repairs were extremely cheap, etc.

可能是我们在中国见过的最美丽的地方之一。但房间不值这个价钱：热水（浴室）只能按需提供，马桶座圈坏了，浴室和卧室用一个窗帘隔开，维修费用非常便宜等等。
