Recent stay at Wuzhou Hotel in Heze was very pleasant. Hotel rooms are kept very clean, service is good, but you must speak Chinese or have an interpreter since not one person on staff speaks English. ||||Rooms are spacious, robes and slippers are provided, easy to use thermostat is positioned conveniently, bed was extremely comfortable, WiFi is free. Bottled water supplied every day. ||||Breakfast is strictly Chinese style. Very tasty offerings, with a large variety of cooked vegetables. .

There are not a lot of international standard hotels in Heze, in fact I've not found one, however Wuzhou International Holiday Hotel could come very close. I have no major complaint about the rooms, I would only mention that the bathrooms have worn out towels. The main complaints are as follows:||1. None of the staff we met spoke any English (even to have one on duty is essential if you're appealing to the non-Chinese guest)||2. The lobby is freezing cold (it was -5C outside and inside wasn's much warmer (rooms were warm however)||3. Breakfast is 100% Chinese, not international; to offer a choice of knives, forks and spoons would be a major improvement (Westerners find it difficult to eat a fried egg with chopsticks); some fresh juice would be nice (as well as water); some decent coffee (and Tea... there was no Tea?!); some fresh bread (or even long life bread with a toaster and some butter and preserves) and maybe some cereals with milk. Nothing very difficult but it would make a huge difference to non-Chinese guests! (I'll re-write this using Google translate!)

I just spent three nights in this hotel. The room was spacious, there was bottled water everyday, and the bed was comfortable. ||Here's a list of some needed improvements:||-Room cleaning could add vacuuming the carpet. I found crumbs, and all sorts of foreign material on the carpet upon my arrival, and everything was still there on my last day. |-The towels looked worn-out dark. |-The inside lock did not work. |-Breakfast was completely Chinese. No forks or knives, no Western food. I couldn't even find cups to drink tea in. Also, be aware of the smokers in the morning. They didn't seem to bring the food out until 7:30am, even though people were already waiting. Then, one single employee would bring the food out in increments...! |-It is located on a very busy avenue. Lots of street noise, and I was on the 16th floor.|-None of the staff spoke any English. So, checking in and out is a challenge, not to mention you may have to ask for your breakfast coupon at the front desk on a daily basis. Brush up on your Chinese before you attempt to do so.||Not sure if this is the best hotel in town, but I would look for something better if I ever have to return to Heze.||
