平遥亚朵酒店

Am impressed with this local hotel chain. Service was good and the room and amenities were on par with other international chains. Able to accept foreigner guests and within walking distance to the train station. Walkable to the old town too.

这家当地的连锁酒店给我留下了深刻的印象。服务很好，房间和设施与其他国际连锁酒店相当。能够接待外国人客人，步行即可到达火车站。步行即可到达老城区。

We were looking for a clean comfortable hotel when we visited the 1000-year old ancient town of Pingyao (平遙古城) and centrally located. We tried to book via Expedia.com without success, so we ended calling the Atour Hotel(亞朵酒店) reservation desk. This hotel is only 5 minutes walk to the South Gate entrance to the old town.||On check in, we were greeted by three smiling front desk receptionists and warm tea was served. There was some miscommunication of room rate quoted by Atour reservation, we were charged at a higher rate due to the May 1 weekend which is a big holiday in China. Their manager on duty soon resolved to our satisfaction - we were treated with daily fruit plate and a nightly snack delivered to our room.||Our room was very clean with comfortable queen bed. Breakfast was excellent，eith a good selection of western food items and juices. Selection of local cuisines was also extensive even with a cook to order chef! They even helped arranged local tours. We loved the tours but we only recommend them for Chinese speaking tourists. ||We had a wonderful time staying for 4 days at this hotel. For leisure, they have an extensive collection of reading material at the lobby. Another bonus, you can wash your dirty clothes for free!

当我们参观位于市中心的具有1000年历史的平遥古城时，我们正在寻找一家干净舒适的酒店。我们试图通过Expedia.com预订，但没有成功，所以我们最后打电话给亚朵酒店预订台。这家酒店距离老城区的南门入口仅5分钟步行路程。||办理入住手续时，我们受到了三位微笑的前台接待员的欢迎，并提供了热茶。亚朵预订所报的房价存在一些误报，由于5月1日周末是中国的一个大假期，因此我们被收取了较高的价格。他们的值班经理很快就做出了让我们满意的决定——我们每天都收到水果盘和每晚的小吃送到我们的房间。||我们的房间非常干净，有舒适的大床。早餐很棒，有很多西餐和果汁可供选择。即使有厨师点菜，当地美食的选择也很丰富！他们甚至帮助安排当地旅游。 我们喜欢这些旅行团，但我们只推荐给说中文的游客。 ||我们在这家酒店住了四天，度过了一段美好的时光。为了休闲，他们在大堂收集了大量的阅读材料。还有一个福利，脏衣服可以免费洗！

房間干净，前台热情，就是遇上酒店在裝修，早餐送到房間沒有选择

第一次住亚朵，用了之前薅来的金卡，叠加券之后才200+。装修风格特别舒服，服务特别热情，客房响应也很迅速。有健身房，还有自助洗衣房（貌似免费的）。早餐种类不多但能吃饱了，也有当地特色面食，还有咖啡机能做各种类型的咖啡，已经很不错了。毕竟价位在那，已经超出预期了！

For all foreigners wanting to visit the ancient city of Pingyao during national holidays 2020, be aware that you will be required to show your nuclear acid test result at any sight and hotel!!! ||This new rule was implemented on Thursday, 24th September, by the local government, without any notification in advance. We arrived on Friday, unknowing about this new rule, and were denied entry into the old town (where we had booked a hotel), we were also denied entry into sights outside of Pingyao (Wang courtyard) and most hotels outside the old town (who just don’t take foreigners in general). ||It does not matter for this new rule if you have stayed in China throughout the whole pandemic or if you can show a valid residence permit, work visa or green health code. (Who knows if they would have let us in, even with a valid test result. Their reasoning seemed more than arbitrary.)||After we stayed at Atour hotel for one night and had booked and confirmed a second night stay at their hotel, they simply kicked us out of the hotel at 6pm, justifying it by this rule. No other hotel in the whole city would take us either. We had to leave for Taiyuan, where this rule was not valid, like in the rest of China. Worst, we were travelling with a little baby. ||The most brainless and heartless travel experience in whole China.

2020年国庆期间想要游览平遥古城的外国人请注意，在任何景点和酒店都将被要求出示核酸检测结果！ ||这项新规定于 9 月 24 日星期四由当地政府实施，没有提前通知。我们周五抵达，不知道这个新规定，被拒绝进入老城（我们在那里预订了酒店），我们也被拒绝进入平遥（王家大院）以外的景点和老城外的大多数酒店（他们一般不接待外国人）。 ||如果您在整个疫情期间一直在中国居住，或者您能出示有效的居留许可、工作签证或绿色健康码，则不受此新规定的影响。 （谁知道他们是否会让我们进去，即使有有效的测试结果。他们的推理似乎非常武断。）||在我们在亚朵酒店住了一晚并预订并确认了在他们酒店的第二晚住宿后，他们只是在下午 6 点把我们赶出了酒店，以此证明这条规则是合理的。整个城市也没有其他酒店愿意接待我们。我们不得不前往太原，那里的规定与中国其他地方一样无效。最糟糕的是，我们带着一个小婴儿旅行。 ||全中国最无脑无心的旅行体验。

Was really surprised by the quality of this hotel. Excellent customer service, great ambience, interior decor, and comfort. Only gripe is that the WiFi was a little slow!
