Huahai Business Hotel Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

The Hua Hai Business Hotel (airport branch) is the real deal -- a local Chinese hotel. It's a no-frills, true China experience. In a perverse way that is somewhat charming, and from the moment of my arrival I wanted very much to give the hotel the best possible review. Unfortunately, honestly requires a 2-point review ... at best. I hope that won't discourage budget travelers from trying it. Especially if you're just a little adventurous, it's worth the experience, and at one-third the price of the in-airport hotel it's a good deal.||||To start with, the hotel does offer a shuttle service from the airport, but you have to call the hotel when you arrive and you have to speak Chinese. The staff at the normal information desks at the airport don't have outside lines and were no help. But if you go down to the bottom level, right in front of the entrance to the metro rail station there is a hotel bookings counter. The person at the hotel bookings counter does have an outside line, and the person I got was willing to help me. She called the hotel, which sent someone to pick me up right there.||||The shuttle itself leaves from outside Door 13 on the departure level, second kerb, but if you haven't called them and don't speak Chinese I don't think it's possible to flag them down.||||The hotel itself is a 10-minute drive from (or rather around) the airport, on the opposite side of the airport from the terminal. You get to see the "real China" on the way: construction sites, assembly plants, and workers' dormitories. The hotel is on a small side-lane that is full of informal food stalls. It sits on a corner opposite a construction site and a small supermarket. There's also a fruit market right across the street from the hotel, street hawkers, and any kind of local food you could want. Just point and pay.||||The hotel internet effectively doesn't work in the evening. It took me 10 minutes to get off a single plain-text e-mail. You can send an emergency message to your family to let them know you're alive, but that's about it. The internet does however work in the morning, when (presumably) there are fewer guests on it. If you'll be in China for more than an overnight stay, there is a mobile phone store in the same building as the hotel (exit and turn right) where you can presumably get a sim card with data access. But if you'll be in China for more than an overnight stay, you won't want to stay at the Hua Hai.||||The mobile phone shop will also print your boarding pass for 3 yuan. The hotel won't.||||The rooms are dingy, there are "no smoking" signs everywhere right above ash trays, the bathroom plumbing works but sprays water everywhere, the furniture is really cheap, etc. My room did have a window (as advertised), not that there was anything to see through the frosted glass covered by a semi-transparent advertising sign that made the room glow red (kind of nice). My room had one large bed instead of the two twin beds advertised. The nicest thing about the hotel is the lobby. And in the lobby only basic English is spoken ("your room is number ***").||||Would I stay here again? No. Was it worth the experience? Probably yes, especially considering that I saved $100. The staff did their best and nothing terrible happened. If you're a young, adventurous couple that wants a taste of China back-alley street food on your one-night airport stop-over, give it a try. More pampered travelers should pay the extra $100 and spend the night at the airport.

The price is around $30 a night. A fairly no frills hotel but is clean and comfortable. They have a shuttle service to/from the airport, but it is difficult if you can't speak Chinese. Use a taxi from the airport instead. The staff are nice, but generally do not speak English. Some rooms don't have windows. ||||Beds are generally hard. ||||The Wifi is OK despite what other reviewers said. Some non-Chinese sites are unreachable because they are blocked. Use a VPN or the Opera browser to get around this. ||||There are many nice restaurants across the street.

Checked in to this hotel just so I could rest a little before my early morning flight out. Although Pullman Guangzhou Baiyun Airport Hotel is nearer to the airport and would've been a better choice, I didn't want to spend money anymore for a few hours of sleep and a shower. ||||I found the bed hard but I was still able to sleep comfortably. The air conditioning was barely working and room smelled of cigarette. I asked for a change of room and the front desk lady said something like this: "In China, there's no such thing as non-smoking rooms" and offered to give me room with a window which I declined. ||||This place is actually 8 minutes ride away to and from the airport. I don't think traffic will be a problem as it's located at an underdeveloped side of the airport. Food choices are limited around the area so bring take out food or snacks if you are not the adventurous kind when it comes to street food.

Отель не имеет лицензию для продажи номеров иностранцам! На ресепшн практически не говорят на английском. Принимают только наличными, банкомата рядом нет! В номерах есть чайник, чай, чайные принадлежности, в ванной комнате - зубные щетки. Есть 2 пары тапочек.||Бронирование через интернет дешевле.||Рядом есть магазин, где можно купить что-нибудь поесть или выпить.||В первой половине дня в аэропорт ездит микроавтобус на 8 человек. Из аэропорта до отеля добираться лучше на такси - я так и не понял, где стоянка этого микроавтобуса...

该酒店没有向外国人出售房间的许可证！接待人员几乎不会说英语。他们只收现金，附近没有ATM！房间的浴室里有水壶、茶、茶具和牙刷。拖鞋有2双。||网上订比较便宜。||附近有一家商店，可以买吃的或喝的东西。||早上有8个人的小巴去机场。从机场到酒店最好乘出租车——我还是不明白这辆小巴停在哪里......

Pictures on the internet were taken at night, the hotel looks very different in daylight. I was given a room with no windows, communicating with staff was excruciating, only one person spoke English who wasn't always present. Breakfast is 1 boiled egg, 1 cup of white liquid said to be milk and 2 pieces of Chinese bread. This was all kept in one large heated aluminum container and handed to you in plastic bags. Breakfast time was 5am - 8am and there is no restaurant, just the small closet like room where the breakfast items were kept. TV has no English channels except one Hong Kong channel that at times had News broadcasted in English. No parking except on the street and no concierge/tour desk. Wi-Fi was free but woefully slow and some sites would not load but probably government regulation and not fault of hotel.|| PRO: Comfortable bed, Great walk in Shower, Slippers in Room, Team making kettle and Breathing mask for surviving a fire

The good part: Large comfortable rooms, free pick-up from airport and other locations, free airport shuttle, local food available in overabundance right outside the hotel (No food in the hotel though)||||But somehow paying 388 Yuan for the very cheapest room seems a bit pricey !

优点是：房间宽敞舒适，免费机场等地接机，免费机场接送，酒店外面有很多当地美食（虽然酒店里没有食物）||||但不知为何要支付388元非常便宜的房间似乎有点贵！

El hotel estaba sucio, olía mal, el desayuno era solo hasta las 8 de la mañana, mala ventilación, humedad por todos lados, cama dura, en la recepción no hablan nada de ingles, por el mismo precio nos quedamos en mejores hoteles. Las fotos de booking no tienen mucho que ver con la realidad. |Pésima experiencia|

Cheguei no aeroporto e pedi ajuda no balcao para achar o translado. Fui a unica pessoa nao chinesa. Atendimento atencioso, mas as pessoas nao falam ingles e nao tem turista neste lugar. Chineses a negocios. Bom para passar a noite entre voos.
