Returning here again, this is the most reassuring hotel I have stayed at in Shenzhen. Highly recommended for travelers looking for long stays, and I also strongly recommend the Horizon Club.|The Horizon Club's three meals—breakfast, afternoon tea, and happy hour—are all top-notch, far exceeding the experience for the room rate. In the late evening, you can help yourself to mineral water and coffee. The lounge manager, Julia, along with Ms. Huang and Ms. Zheng, provided excellent and professional service.||Mrs Deng from the 21st-floor customer service team deserves all the praise. Her cleaning is meticulous, and her service is professional, clearly the result of decades of experience. During my long stay, I never needed to communicate extra requests; she always knew when to come. When she noticed I had a cold, she thoughtfully left seven or eight bottles of water and extra tissues. The charm of this old hotel shines through in such details, and there were occasional surprises that brightened my day. Supervisor Luo also showed great consideration for guests.||I highly recommend this hotel for long-term stays or for guests near the border. Although the facilities are somewhat dated, they are well-maintained, and cleanliness is impeccable—from the lobby to the rooms, everything is spotless.

We had a fabulous time here. We booked a suite so we would have extra space and access to the club lounge. We loved it. The staff are all super-happy and friendly. The club lounge gives you a great breakfast, small lunch, and dinner and drinks. Our kids really enjoyed coming with us to the club lounge to see what food we can try. My daughter is still carrying the cup of candies the chef gave her on our last day. Really, we had a lovely time here and I can highly recommend this hotel. The comments saying the rooms are a little dated. It's true - I'd describe this as a "luxury Chinese hotel" but it wasn't an issue and we didn't have any sort of cleanliness or dust problem. Nearby you have an upmarket MixC shopping mall with fancy restaurants and cafes, and you also have what we affectionately called the "dirty street" where you have loads of street food vendors selling all sorts of local, cheap food. Recommended.

I checked in on 16 August 2024. Very impressed with their service level of hotel staff. Asked for more complimentary bottled water, it was promptly delivered. Next day, housekeeper who cleaned our room and has the initiative to gauge how many bottled water I need and gladly provided extra bottled water. This was service exceeding hotel guests expectations. Well done!

Beautiful hotel, clean. very pleasant staff. I always stay here when I go to Shenzhen for shopping. The hotel is directly across from the Luohu shopping center. The hotel is excellent. I stay in the club lounge, which is fantastic, you can get drinks there all day long, afternoon tea, and they have happy hour. The food is super and the drinks are great. I went to the large breakfast room down stairs, that also has a huge range of food. highly recommend this hotel. Take your translator.

Located conveniently by the Lo Wu Port to Hong Kong, metro station and Luohu Commercial City, with unique room views of both Hong Kong and Lo wu, you can’t go wrong with this hotel. You can also feel a warm blend on both Eastern and Western cultures in the room and hotel details. The classic Shangri-la vibe is evident with their excellent customer service and food. Would recommend for a short stay if you are making a quick trip to shenzhen and need a good rest from all the shopping & eating!||||What I loved:||||- convenience to travel around shenzhen by metro and back to Hong Kong||- Round the clock food and drinks (for those staying at the executive floors)||- Pillow menu!||- Foreigner friendly - we speak a bit of Mandarin but mostly, Cantonese but they could tell we were struggling a bit and they tried to cater to us by speaking Cantonese and English.||- Pool and gym facilities! Pool was quite empty on the sunnier day so we had it to ourselves!||||What could make it better?||||- Some of the room facilities or hotel facilities are a bit dated - very 90’s shangri-la style vibe. Could possibly do an upgrade to align with the other Shangri-la hotel upgrades.||- Bath tub was a bit too low - not very practical if you were to have an actual bath.

Henry Liu is easily the worst manager this hotel has. Rude, not professional and behave in an unruly manner. I WOULD NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN. Even senior management does not make an attempt for service recovery, you get a curt attitude with no empathy or a ShangriLa standard of service

This is an old hotel in Shenzhen, but still keeps its style. The cleaning service is good at Shangri-La Shenzhen. My health condition was not very good during the stay, but the staff were all friendly to me. Judy Cao, the cleaning staff at Shangri-La Shenzhen, helped change the bed sheet for me. The turn-down service makes me feel like home.
