茂名国际大酒店

I have stayed in this hotel before and in this re-visit found that its maintenance team has done a good job in keeping the place in good order. The room was immaculately clean and made up. The bed was the biggest one I have ever seen in any hotel I have been to worldwide, it is more like a double queen in width which I think is unusual and can easily sleep a family of four, no joking! One thing new however is when we checked into the hotel, there is a new measure to take our individual photo at the reception counter which points to some kind of tightening of security. Last time we stayed, we did not have the opportunity to use room service but this time we did and found the food both good and a real bargain. Spaghetti Bolognese only costs RMB 40 and Fried Vermicelli Singapore RMB 35. Portion is big and they both tasted good. If you are tired after a day's work or travel, eating in the comfort of your own room is definitely a good choice. We have also used the hotel buffet breakfast on the 5/F., but I must say it is more fitting for Asian clients as most of the food items are Chinese although there are some salad and western pastries available. The open kitchen does cook eggs according to your choice though.

Maoming I think is probably considered a third tier city in China and thus when you walk on the streets, you found its appearance hardly close to cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou. It was smoggy when we stayed there and the streets were not as well kept in terms of cleanliness and repair and the buildings around were generally older. Beware if you walk on the pavements which you think belong to pedestrians, as scooters and motor cycles may zoom around you. Having said these, this hotel is therefore exceptional in terms of its level of comfort and luxury. Although the exterior was nothing grand, our room was clean, well maintained and rather well appointed with comfortable beds and all the amenities one can expect from a four to five star hotel anywhere. Its bathroom has a big glass window that one can look through to the sleeping area and there is a screen that you can pull down if you are not alone (this is something becoming popular in hotels all over though I do not consider this a plus). There was free wifi and wired broadbend in the room but unfortunately its small fridge was hotter than the room temperature. The hotel also has a few restaurants so filling your stomach with western or Chinese food would not be a problem. The room service menu was very reasonably priced, with entrees ranging from 30-60 CNY. It also has a sizeable swimming pool and a gym if you would like to work out. The hotel building has a multi storey shopping arcade attached to it if you wish to spend some money (not the brand names though) and then there is a supermarket where you can buy some munchies or daily necessities. There is also a 24 hour KFC next door if you want some comfort food closer to home. However note that the KFC here also have improvised and you can find congees, Chinese doughnut etc for breakfast.

Stayed at the Maoming International as part of a tour with our children. A very luxurious hotel at a very good price. Staff at reception have very limited English but did their best. Rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean and quite modern. It was difficult to find a booking site that would allow us to book this hotel but was finally able to do so through Ctrip.com. Breakfast was adequate but quite limited for those with western tastes. Highly recommended.

酒店的位置很好，和广百百货连在一起，旁边还有肯德基和国美电器等。||我们在酒店的3楼用晚餐。遗憾的是酒店不提供大堂用餐，只能在包厢。其实开放大厅，喝夜茶、吃点心也挺好的。我们看到3楼走廊尽头，穿过小门，就是广百百货了，挺方便的。||我订的是行政套房，房间很大。全酒店都有免费的wifi，包括大堂、餐厅、走廊和房间。||房间的灯都是触碰式控制。|我最欣赏的是它衣橱的灯。我住过这么多酒店，它是第二家酒店我看到衣橱里的灯是感应式的。很多酒店衣橱的门，你是不能开着去睡觉的，因为只有你关了门，它里面的灯才能关；但是你关了门，意味着你有衣服晾在里面的话，不容易干。所以我很喜欢可以自动熄灭的衣橱灯。||浴室有淋浴处和浴盆。淋浴的地方也有固定式花洒和活动式花洒，很好。我更喜欢活动式的。|洗脸池比较窄。|洗浴用品挺高级，味道有柠檬草的清香。而且打开马桶的盖子，还有洗脸池旁边，都有玫瑰花的花瓣，是真花。||有一个细节要提一下。我通过携程订的时候，是写着行政套房，双早。入住的时候酒店前台人员很“纠结”地问我是几个人入住。我问这样问是否与早餐券有关，她说是的。|我问：“那你都没想过，客人有可能在本地有认识朋友，他/她只是过来一起用一下早餐，聊一下？而且我订房的时候，条款写的是‘双早’，即使我一个人入住，是否也应该给我双早呢（当然我能住你五星级酒店，就不会贪图你早餐这么小的事情）？如果本来就写着是‘单早’，我一个人入住，而去要求你‘双早’的话，这就是我的不对了。”|最后，那位前台人员给了我“双早”。结果第二天退房的时候，我发现还是前一晚接待我入住那位小姐。不知道是否之前那晚给她的印象太深刻，她第一眼就对旁边的同事说出我的房号：“1***房退房。”之后还问我：“早上有用早餐吗？”让我觉得很无语……|可能她真的是无心的，只是为了确认房卡里面有没有授权给我“双早”，但是我的感觉是“有必要这样吗？订房时候几份就几份呗，这么‘纠结’反而会让人觉得你们这家五星级酒店很抠门。”||有驾车的客人，入住退房时可在前台刷一下停车卡，免费停车。

Clean, spacious and there was someone speaking English at the reception. Even translated our sheet we needed in order to book a train at the train station. Very helpful girl this was. The room was nice, breakfast tasting good. The restaurant was quite something as we have been the only non-chinese guests and therefore an attraction. Tasted good, nothing to complain. In another city, the review would have been 3 stars, but since there is pretty much nothing in Maoming, there you go.

干净、宽敞，接待处有人会说英语。甚至还翻译了我们在火车站预订火车所需的表格。这是非常乐于助人的女孩。 房间不错，早餐味道不错。 这家餐厅很不错，因为我们是唯一的非中国客人，因此是一个景点。味道不错，没什么可抱怨的。 在另一个城市，评价应该是3星，但茂名几乎没什么东西，就这样吧。

Stayed there for three nights on a business trip. The staff during the entire stay was very helpful with smiling faces all around. The check in was fairly simple and the rooms are decent sized. The lighting in the bathroom could be a bit better though. The TV has very limited English channels and the wifi connectivity was not impressive. The breakfast was a large spread, however for non Chinese there were limited options and i had to do away with egg, bread, butter and coffee. For the lunch and dinner, the options are buffet as well as from the menu. ordered salmon and was presently surprised with the preparations. There is a small mall right next door with a 24 hours KFC. There is a shopping strip behind the hotel as well. Other than this there is very limited to do there.

出差在那里住了三个晚上。整个住宿期间，工作人员都非常乐于助人，到处都是笑脸。登记入住相当简单，房间大小合适。不过浴室的灯光还可以好一点。电视上的英语频道非常有限，无线网络连接也不是很好。早餐种类繁多，但对于非中国人来说，选择有限，我不得不放弃鸡蛋、面包、黄油和咖啡。 午餐和晚餐的选择包括自助餐和菜单。点了鲑鱼，现在对准备工作感到惊讶。 隔壁有一个小商场，里面有24小时营业的肯德基。酒店后面还有一个购物区。除此之外，在那里做的事情非常有限。

地理位置离沃尔玛超市很近，旁边有两个大超市，购物挺方便，它楼下就是超市，交通也挺好。酒店有游泳池。它是新装修过的，大堂装修很漂亮。房间里面地毯都有，电视挺好，都可以看录像、看电视台和上网。服务态度很好，你要什么东西他们都会准备好。卫生也挺好。它旁边就有酒店，海鲜、自助什么都有。

是当地最好的酒店。房间挺宽敞的，床也比较舒服，装修也不错，比较新，装修中规中矩，住的还比较舒服。服务员态度都不错，会提前问你要不要退房，退房也可以延迟。这边吃饭比较方便，有正餐，有茶室，有西餐，有宵夜。应该在细节方面在增加一点个别的地方，只是赠送报纸，没有其他特殊的服务。
