The hotel can take foreigners. I came to Khorgos early by train to directly take to bus to Almaty (Kazakhstan), but unfortunately it was Kazakhstan Independence day so the border was closed for 2 days. Had to find a place to stay and wait until the 18 Dec. This one came up as the cheapest option on Trip but honestly I am not sure if I like it or not… For the price listed on Trip when I booked last minute, it would not be worth it. The hotel is run down a lot. Many dirty marks everywhere inside the room, There is no non-smoking room so the smoke smell inside the room is quite heavy. I booked on Trip one night. I negotiated with the reception for 100rmb for the second night and it was ok. It should not be more than that. The good thing is it is near Youyi pedestrian street which is the hang-around place of town. Not much to do here but shopping and chill, waiting for the border to open…

酒店可以接待外国人。我很早就坐火车来到霍尔果斯，直接坐巴士去阿拉木图（哈萨克斯坦），可惜那天是哈萨克斯坦独立日，所以边境关闭了2天。不得不找个地方住，等到 12 月 18 日。这个是 Trip 上最便宜的选择，但说实话，我不确定我是否喜欢它……对于我最后一分钟预订时 Trip 上列出的价格，它不值得。这家酒店很破旧。房间内到处都是脏污痕迹，没有无烟房，所以房间内烟味很重。我在旅行上预订了一晚。我和前台协商了第二晚100元，还可以。不应该更多。好处是它靠近友谊步行街，这是镇上的闲逛场所。这里没什么可做的，除了购物和放松，等待边境开放……
