和田西湖银都国际酒店

We liked the large room, and the facilities inside (desk, longchair). The breakfast was passable. Few interesting tourist spots in the neighborhood.

In the first days of May in 2018 we stayed 2 nights in this hotel in twinroom 1011. The Westlake hotel is a large hotel, on a central location in Hotan. It is located on a main south-north road which end on the central square in Hotan with a golden statue of Mao and a local leader. On foot it is about 10 minutes to that square. Some remarks about this hotel.||1. We had a room at the backside of the hotel, with view on a large area where an old quarter is demolished and a completely new district will be build the next years. We had no annoyance of these construction works. ||2. The rooms are large and for Hotan – we think – rather luxurious, e.g. with airco (which wasn’t switched on centrally because it was not too warm in the city), a good shower and darkening curtains. But, with a better look the room is dated and needs renewal because of stains on (old) furniture and on carpet and the grey kit in the bathroom. Strange is the window in the room, which offers you a view in the bathroom….||3. The breakfast is Chinese style, but we could choose bread (and the use of a toaster), pear juice, yoghurt with cereals and coffee. ||4. The hotel has good free wifi. ||5. The staff at the reception only speaks Chinese/Uygur, but with an app it was possible to communicate. We succeeded to organize a car with a driver for 300 yuan to see the most important sites in the surroundings of Hotan like the Mazar of Iman Asim, the Atlas silk handcraft and a carpet factory. In the centre the new park under a bridge in the Beijing road is very worthwhile to see. ||Overall, this hotel is probably the best place to stay in Hotan.

Nice sized room, comfortable bed. Room rug dirty and badly stained, some stains on the walls.||||There is a computer in the room, but we did not use it. Excellent refrigerator, safe, large flat screen TV with lots of English programming and English movies.||||The air conditioning made noise, but did not seem to work. At least the windows opened so it cooled down at night.||||The bathroom was good, good shower, but plumbing at sink was loose and damaged. The privacy curtain in the shower to bedroom did not stay down by itself, we had to tie it to the shower mat to keep it down.||||Excellent buffet dinner, and good buffet breakfast.||||Good location, excellent French bakery, and a liquor store next to hotel.||The city seems to be under marshal law, police constantly patrol the streets, lots of police check points, guards at hotels, restaurants and stores. Few people in parks and on streets, very spooky!!

Hotan is rather an off the beaten track city in China so i wasn't expecting much of this hotel. However, i was pleasantly surprised. Its a large hotel very close to the main city square. The room was clean and spacious with a view of the city.i didn't have breakfast but had a good buffet dinner in the hotel restaurant.||||No one spoke English, but this didn't surprise me in such a city. I managed to communicate with the staff via a translation app without any problem.||||The weather was terrible during my stay, wind and rain, so i was happy to have a comfortable room in which to relax.||||Overall for the money i paid i thought the hotel was good value. The choices in Hotan are limited so i think this is possibly the best place to stay.

和田是中国一个人迹罕至的城市，所以我对这家酒店并没有抱太大期望。不过，我还是很惊喜。这是一家非常靠近主要城市广场的大型酒店。房间干净宽敞，可以看到城市景观。我没有吃早餐，但在酒店餐厅吃了一顿美味的自助晚餐。||||没有人说英语，但这并不让我在这样的城市感到惊讶。我成功地通过翻译应用程序与工作人员进行了沟通，没有任何问题。||||我住宿期间的天气很糟糕，刮风下雨，所以我很高兴能有一个舒适的房间来放松。||||总的来说对于我付的钱，我认为这家酒店物有所值。和田的选择有限，所以我认为这可能是最好的住宿地点。

I am currently staying in the hotel. The rooms are poorly maintained, and the towels smell like cigarette smoke. The service at the front desk is especially bad, and the staff expects the guests to do their job for them. Security is also very poor. The only reason I gave two stars is that the breakfast is better than most comparable hotels in Xinjiang, and the food in the 2nd floor restaurant is ok. But, this hardly makes up for the hotel's overall bad management.

我目前住在酒店。房间维护得很差，毛巾闻起来有烟味。前台的服务尤其糟糕，工作人员希望客人为他们做他们的工作。安全性也很差。我给两颗星的唯一原因是早餐比新疆大多数同档酒店要好，而且2楼餐厅的食物还可以。但是，这很难弥补酒店整体糟糕的管理。

This could be a decent choice but the hotel suffers from a bad central AC system. The amount of cold air delivered is tiny and does not cool the room down. ||If your room is facing the street it will be in shade late afternoon. You can open the window and cool it down enough for sleeping (if stripped to underwear and no blanket ). During the day it will be uncomfortably hot.||If your room is facing to the back it will be too hot until late at night. However during a.m. day it is cool with window open.||Note the above is from a stay mid September. Cant imagine how summer is like.||We found this issue with weak central AC also in other hotels. Much better is if you can find a hotel with individual AC units.||Apart from the AC this hotel is fine

The hardware is fine. It is nice. They did not turn on the central AC because they did not think it was hot enough. Hetian is very dust so it was a drag to open the windows. Breakfast is fine. People are not very friendly. Not a lot of choices in town so I would probably go back.
