They accept foriengers, a big plus since many places do not. Rates are very affordable for what you get. Rooms are large, remodeled, and clean with very a comfortable bed. Cleaning crew are very nice and eager to clean your room daily. Despite front desk not speaking English, they are patient and helpful using translation apps helping me find a photocopy store, scanning my passport for eVisa requirements, organizing me transportation, storing my bicycle in the security room, and even calling the Entry-Exit Bureau for me for updated land border crossing information.

The most important thing for me when rating a hotel is the quality of the bed. I slept soundly on the very hard Chinese mattress. If you like hard beds, then the Eden Hotel is totally adequate. Aside from the bed, things look less good. Our first room had a toilet that wouldn't flush. We had to demonstrate this to the staff before they offered to change our room. Our second room had too many small problems to mention. Most were superficial but lent an impression that the place was rundown and not maintained: peeling wallpaper, detached bathroom facet, missing tiles, moldy chaulk, giant peeling stain in the ceiling. However, the location is excellent, near the under-street tunnel leading to a road to the night market and mosque.||||In the end, the bathroom ceiling did not fall in. As mentioned, we slept well on hard beds. The price was quite good. So the bottom line for me is a two-star rating.||||Last but not least, the front desk attendants spoke no English and were not very friendly. A bit of charm would have made the experience much better. (Kashgar is brimming with charm so the Eden had to look hard to find stern front desk staff).

Just recently come back from a trip to western Xinjiang with a friend, whilst we were Kashgar, we stayed 3 nights in Hotel Eden. We checked out a few places before settling on this one, and paid 188-198 RMB per night, which I though was the best value for the size of room, atmosphere and the location after checking out Seman hotel and another Chinese business hotel on Seman road . ||||The room itself was ok, standard with worn carpets, but beds are comfortable. It is advisable to look at the rooms available as the conditions of the rooms do vary. The bathroom was a bit of a state - lack of ventilation and poor drainage meant that the paint were peeling and after a shower the floor of the bathroom was wet for a long time. ||||We stayed on the side of the hotel that is next to a little school, so were woken up in the morning by school full of kids doing their morning exercise to Chinese pop music, cute to watch and we just joined in at the end! If you like to sleep in, I suggest staying on the other side of the hotel.||||Staff in the hotel are very nice, mostly Uighur with limited English, so brush up on your Chinese/Uighur. In particular a lady called 'Soruye' at the reception is very friendly and has a lovely smile! I also left my phone in the room after check in, and the cleaning maid helped me call it and found it fallen behind the bed. The travel services people in the lobby are very nice, and would give you honest opinions and prices about trips in the area - I would also recommend them.||||Location: The hotel is next to QiniBagh, so easy to tell taxi drivers too. And it is 5-10 minutes from the old town, night market and Ida Kha Mosque, very convenient.||||Lastly - make sure you try the lamb chuan'rs (kebabs) in the stall opposite the hotel - they were the best I ever had - despite the grimey look of the establishment and in particular one of the staff!!

If you can, get a room not facing the road, will help with noise. Price was fine, compared to comparable options. Location is awesome, best we saw of the other hotels. Easy walk to the Mosque, great street life. Only problem was that the bathroom in both rooms we stayed in (we did a trip to Karakul Lake in the middle of our trip) had problems and in the middle of the night, water started coming out of the shower. First bathroom, plaster was peeling off the ceiling and falling on us. Second bathroom, light barely worked, sink drain had a leak. Also, give enough time to check out, they inspect your room and any small item they will try to deduct. Complimentary breakfast was great, good value. Just keep expectations average...

I made my trip to Kashgar about a year ago following a slew of good reviews that propelled the hotel to #1 on trip advisor, thus eschewing more established choices like the Chini Bagh.||||The hotel is Uyghur run, and the architecture is pleasant. There is a restaurant with a good mix of Uyghur, Han and an attempt at decent western food.||||Rooms were passable, though barely. The toilets were in poor shape but at least the rooms themselves were clean. I do know that in Xinjiang, the toilets tend to have an unenclosed area for showering, but while it wasn't dirty, had certainly seen better days. ||||In short, I'd stay here again if there aren't many alternate choices, but it does seem (from other reviews) that this is not the case.

This is not a bad choice for a Chinese three-star. The rooms are clean even if the expense "facility maintenance" does not appear on the operating statement. These type of hotels age very rapidly. It appears this hotel does a burgeoning business with business folks from the neighboring countries. And this should be good news for the budget traveler for they know the landscape better than you do. The breakfast is the typical Chinese offering and a nice restaurant is right next door. An on-site travel agency is available but would suggest you bargain hard as the starting prices are in the low troposphere. This hotel is priced right.

We spent 9 nights at this hotel. When we first got to Kashgar, we stayed at the hotel right next door – the Qinbagh (also called the Qiniwek and Chinbagh). After having one problem after another, we ended up at the Eden. For 8 yuan more per night than what we had been paying, we got a much nicer room that included wired internet and breakfast. ||||The front desk staff spoke very little English but they were very polite and helpful. Fortunately, there is a tour office just across the lobby, and the manager there speaks excellent English and was always around to translate for us, so we had no significant communication problems with the staff. The key deposit seems to change like the weather – when we checked in, it was about 500 yuan, and every day that we extended our stay, the key deposit went up or down – over 500 yuan to a low of 63 yuan. However, we had no problems whatsoever upon checkout and got what deposit there was remaining refunded quickly.||||The room condition seems to vary a lot here, so ask to look at a few before making a commitment. We were initially put in a room but found that the key card didn’t work. So we switched to another room, but it had a really bad odor in the bathroom. Finally, the 3rd room was fine and we stayed there. It faced the main road but was fairly quiet after around 10 pm or so. This hotel is fairly new and is falling apart rapidly – we saw lots of maintenance issues. But the rooms and common areas were kept very clean, the beds were comfortable and everything has an attractive Islamic décor – very easy on the eyes. There is an elevator in the building.||||Breakfast is included and is good, but there are no Western choices at all. Lots of vegetable stir-fried dishes served up buffet style, with a few cold dishes, hard boiled eggs, sliced bagels, bread, instant coffee and tea. ||||The only crisis that we had was that the Internet was wired (they have no wifi at this hotel – or in any hotel that we looked at in Kashgar) and the cord was short, so we had our laptop sitting on the TV stand, which was under the air-con pipe. At some point, the air-con leaked water onto the table, which caused our hard-drive to short out – not a good deal at all for us. Our fault, I suppose, for not checking but definitely something to be aware of if you plan on using your own computer. ||||The location is excellent – right across the street from the Old Town. There are a lot of good restaurants and walking to do within minutes of the front door. The restaurant in the Eden is also very good, albeit a bit pricey. Given the other hotels that we’ve seen in Kashgar, the Eden is definitely above average, which is how I based my 4-star rating.

Stayed here for 1 night enroute to the KKH. ||||Booked this by email with the hotel and got a confirmation but apparently the person that responded to my booking doesn't exist so when I got there there was plenty of confusion , but was resolved by simply making a fresh booking on the spot. ||||Room is dusty and furniture is literally falling apart. One of the chair legs had broken and backrest was loose. ||||Bathroom is dimly lit. ||||There is no internet in this hotel despite what they may tell you. ||||Breakfast was um... limited.||||And there was a sauna in the bathroom that didn't work. The wood was old and rotten. ||||Restaurant downstairs seemed good although I didn't try, lots of Rich Uyghurs seem to go there. ||||On the return leg I splurged and stayed at Kashi Yin Rui Lin hotel instead - what a world of difference.
