丽都大酒店

On the 15th of May in 2018 we stayed one night in this hotel in twinroom 401. After we arrived by train at 8.00 am, we also could use our room in the morning for a shower and for breakfast in the restaurant. Some remarks about this hotel.||1. The Lidu hotel is a medium sized hotel, in the west part of Kuqa, less than 10 minutes by car from the train station, but too far to walk from the old city. ||2. We had a room at the backside of the hotel, very quiet. The rooms are rather large, clean, have good beds, with airco and a good shower. ||3. The hotel has good free wifi. ||4. The (friendly) staff at the reception only speaks Chinese/Uygur, but with an app it was possible to communicate. We already had arranged a car with a driver by a travel agency in Kashgar, to visit the most important touristic sites in the surroundings of Kuqa as the Kizil Thousand Buddha Caves, Kuqa Grand Canyon, Beacon tower and the Kuqa Grand Mosque. If we hadn’t arranged our daytrip before, we experienced it was also possible to make an arrangement for a daytrip with the driver who works for the hotel. We had this driver for the whole day. If you haven’t any transport, we highly can recommend to arrange this driver! ||5. The breakfast is mostly Chinese style, but we could also choose some bread, yoghurt, fruit and coffee. In the restaurant also worked a friendly elderly lady who did her utmost to serve us a good breakfast. We very appreciated it. ||6. The hotel is, as mentioned, not located near the center of the city. In the surrounding of the hotel (when you turn to the right) are some shops. ||7. If you look for a good and nicely decorated place to eat, we highly recommend a restaurant near the hotel. When you leave the hotel and turn to the right, you’ll find this restaurant in the fourth building on your right hand side. You can’t miss it, because on the left wall of the entrance of the restaurant, you’ll see large photos of all the dishes the restaurant serves! This was very useful for foreigners like us, because we simply could point the food we liked. ||Summarized, although we expected to stay in Kuqa in the least comfortable hotel during our holiday in Xinjiang, the Lidu hotel was a pleasant surprise because it was better than we expected.

Lidu hotel is a modern 4 star property built on a main street in Kuqa. Reception was friendlier than usual and tried to speak a couple of words in English, though communication was overall impossible without a Chinese-speaking guide. ||||At first glance, my room was 4-star standard, with ample space for a standard room and a decently-sized bathroom. However some amenities were missing such as Wi-Fi or a minibar fridge –and the hotel didn’t even provide ice cubes when asked. Furthermore, my laundry was supposed to be returned by 6pm on the same day, and nothing was in my room when I got back at 7pm. I needed to have my guide enquire at reception so that my laundry was properly returned when I came back from dinner.||||The breakfast buffet, served in the 11th floor dining room with commanding views on the city (through unclean panoramic windows), was particularly good, with an ample choice of quality Chinese dishes. However, one would have expected at least some juice –of which where was none.||.||The huge plus of this hotel was the quality of service, with prompt attention to any request. Whenever I needed something in the room or at the restaurant, a person came in no time with a smile. Well done!

丽都大酒店是一家现代化的四星级酒店，建于库车的一条主要街道上。接待人员比平时更友好，并尝试用英语说几句话，但如果没有中文导游，沟通总体上是不可能的。 ||||乍一看，我的房间是四星级标准，有足够的空间容纳标准间，还有一个大小合适的浴室。然而，一些设施缺失，例如 Wi-Fi 或迷你吧冰箱，而且酒店甚至在要求时不提供冰块。此外，我的衣服应该在当天下午 6 点之前归还，但当我晚上 7 点回来时，我的房间里什么也没有。我需要让我的导游在接待处询问，以便我吃完晚饭回来时我的衣服能正确归还。||||自助早餐，在 11 楼的餐厅提供，可以俯瞰城市景观（透过不干净的全景窗户） ，特别好，有很多优质的中餐可供选择。然而，人们期望至少能喝点果汁，但实际上没有。||.||这家酒店的巨大优势是服务质量，对任何要求都能及时关注。每当我在房间或餐厅需要什么东西时，很快就有一个人带着微笑进来。干得好！

环境还可以，几个也比较实惠，关键是客房的面积也比较大。酒店的装修可以 ，整体卫生都还可以，价格也可以，但不是说很高档，里面布置的让你感觉很温馨，面积也比较大，里面的电视什么还是太小了。酒店服务一般吧。建议可以把电视机做的更大，当时是二十一或者二十五寸的，放个平板电视更好。态度礼仪礼貌还可以吧，办事效率也还可以，不算好也不算差。酒店的位置可以啊，就在过道边上，火车站旁边，距离火车站有个一两公里路吧，听不到什么声音，繁华度的话新疆都是戈壁。没有餐饮，周边吃饭还可以，自己本身就有餐饮的，有吃过啊，餐饮这块儿味道不咋地，味道感觉做的不是很好，不好吃。整体的性价比可以啊。

The hotel is clean and it looks better than other accommodations in the area. Reception staff were very friendly, did their best trying to speak a couple of words in English and after all were very helpful. The breakfast buffet was particularly good, with a wide choice of both Chinese and Western dishes.

酒店很干净，看起来比该地区的其他住宿要好。接待人员非常友好，尽最大努力用英语说几个单词，毕竟非常有帮助。自助早餐特别好，中西菜肴选择丰富。

Lidu is a four stars hotel by Chinese standards. It could be a perfect place to stay except for few flaws such as the missing fridge in the room, the weak AC (I would advise to set the thermostat at 10°C) and the bathroom lighting, last problem on which I have to give details.||Actually, the bathroom and the room are separated by a large window panel that you can close with a curtain… unfortunately, the curtain is not completely blind so that when you are two in the room and that one of you wants to go to the bathroom at night, well, the other one get waken up by the strong light coming from the bathroom. Moreover, there is no switch for the bathroom light, it works with a sensor and takes 3 to 4 minutes to switch itself off, which is more than annoying.||Even though Lidu Hotel is a good place to saty, I recommend that hotel because it happens to have nice staff (NO English understood of course), decent refurbishment and a decent breakfast served at the 11th floor with a view on the mountains.

You need to be very objective when you travel to certain parts of the world. This is no Hilton or Westin but it's the best you can find in town.|Kuqa is not a huge touristic spot for westerners so you won't find it easy to go about in general unless you speak Mandarin (which is very helpful but still not spoken by everybody).|Here you shouldn't have many communication issues.||Said that, the hotel is clean and it looks luxurious compared to some other accommodations in the area.|There is a good Eastern Chinese restaurant (if you are tired of eating lamb and noodles every day - that's basically the local food), which has permanent staff giving you plenty of attention and good service with a smile on their face.|Internet works in the lobby where there is a nice koi pond that may help you relax after a hot day out in the desert.|Very positive experience after all.

丽都大酒店是四星级酒店，但价格是二星级的价格，房间舒适宽敞，卫生洁条件很好，洁具使用方便，洗澡感觉很享受，夜晚很安静，能保证很好的睡眠。物超所值。

虽说是库车最大的酒店，好像是四星级的吧，但没有感觉到四星级的服务。房间舒适度，卫生情况都还是普通，称不上档次多高，但外观还是蛮不错的。
