Nan Tong Cosmic International Hotel

在南通通州这样一个小地方,开出了这样的高档酒店已是很不错了.房内设施完全按五星标准,洗手间很干净舒适.缺点是离市中心较远,周围没有商业设施.

去南通玩在网上随便选的，吸引我的原因是新建成而且装修属五星标准。入住后发现周围环境比较幽静，离通洲市中心约五分钟车程。卫生间很大，设备很好，满意！

餐饮很差，服务马马虎虎，退房的时候忘了拿mini-bar的几罐咖啡，五分钟后上去，居然就没了，赶时间，算了。但感觉很不好。客房条件什么还行，跟上海粤海差不多。以这个价格来说还是信价比挺高的。

偶尔在网上看到这家酒店，比较新，位于市区内，非常方便，入住感觉档次不错，主要是网络价格非常优惠，物超所值，再去的话值得再入住。。

L'albergo è situato a 30 min da Nantong, la posizione comunque non è male dato che nei dintorni si può trovare quello che si vuole. KTV, ristoranti cinesi ma non cucina internazionale. Cucina internazionale si trova nel ristorante dell'albergo e non è niente male. Il servizio è cordiale e efficiente anche se manca un po' la comprensione e l'uso dell'inglese che sarebbe da migliorare. Le camere sono spaZiose e hanno un buon livello di comfort, vasca e doccia frigobar e climatizzatore. |

Some amenities are still not available, such as the fitness center. The hotel has high speed internet through a LAN wall outlet, and a pay service for Wi-Fi. However, as of early December 2010, the internet was very unreliable, especially between 6:00pm and 6:00am. The hotel appears to know of the issue, so, hopefully in the future, this won’t be a problem. The rooms are very nice, similar to a Hilton-style hotel. The staff is friendly and most speak broken English. The western-style buffet is actually quite good. There is also a nice sit down restaurant, but I never ate there. Other than one of my complaints below, the hotel is very clean. There is some dust still floating around as they are still finishing the top couple floors, but it’s not any worse than going outside. The location of the hotel is not the best. It is about 2 km (1.2 miles) from downtown Tongzhou, but it's a very nice walk. A new shopping area is opening soon right across the street.||||My two main complaints is they never seemed to vacuum the carpet while I was there (again, I think since they are new, I’m hoping this changes in the future), and if you do not close the sink and tub drains, your bathroom will fill with a very faint sewer smell (it is almost un-noticeable, so please don’t let this deter you). I left these comments on my comment card in my room, so hopefully they took note.

In a word: weird. Located in the industrial district of Tongzhou about 30 minutes north of Nantong city, at first glance The Cosmic is just an average local hotel, not bad for one of those "arrive at night, leave in the morning" tier 2 business trips. My room was huge with a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. But there are some odd touches that mad it, let's say, memorable. Breakfast was fine, except that it doesn't start until 7 a.m. with no early option either in the hotel or nearby. The food was ready but the waitresses fiercely guarded the entrance until the stroke of seven. The desk service was friendly, but the poor female desk clerks had to wear sheer yellow uniform blouses that showed the black bras they seemed also required to wear. Off putting and in bad taste. And imagine my surprise when I found a huge assortment of condoms and sexual aids for sale in my room. A card by the bed advertised that at the back the hotel there is a "nightclub". At this point I began to think the Cosmic may be a front for something else. Luckily no late night phone calls. I checked out wanting to take a shower though.
