Howard Johnson Kaina Plaza Changzhou

I have decided to give this review in English so that it will help our foreign friend’s who wanted to visit Changzhou and find a decent domestic 5-star hotel at friction of the cost. This is the 2nd time I booked my stay at 常州远洲酒店. Excellent hotel with excellent location located near the city center, extremely clean & comfortable. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly reception front desk staff. Breakfast was excellent and spread full of an airy, open and bright restaurant, it offers hotel guest a mixed menu with International dishes.All of them makes our trip very welcoming, the luxurious accommodations, coupled with exceptional service, made my stay truly memorable.I would definitely recommend this hotel to everybody! It's a true sample of excellent hospitality. Thank you again 小周for going just that little step extra for the guests!!!

我决定用英文发表这篇评论，以便帮助我们的外国朋友去常州，在价格摩擦的情况下找到一家像样的国内五星级酒店。这是我第二次预订常州远酒店洲酒店。优秀的酒店，地理位置优越，靠近市中心，非常干净和舒适。抵达后，我们受到友好的接待前台工作人员的热烈欢迎。早餐很棒，餐厅通风、开放、明亮，为酒店客人提供包含国际菜肴的混合菜单。所有这些都让我们的旅行非常温馨，豪华的住宿，加上卓越的服务，让我的住宿真正难忘。我绝对会向大家推荐这家酒店！这是热情好客的真正典范。再次感谢小周为客人多做的一小步！

The room didn’t look like the pictures, different layout and nowhere near as big. However it was still a nice room and had a comfortable bed. Wasn’t told the wifi information so had to call reception to clarify.The tv was not very big and was far from the bed so was hard to watch when lying in bed.The staff were very friendly and helpful - they were excellent.I would stay here again but in a different room as I don’t think the pictures are a true reflection of the room, I don’t think the price was worth what I paid.

The Hotel is immaculately cleaned, the staff are always so helpful and the value for money is amazing. I have stayed there 4 or 5 times now and it never disappoints. It has pool and gym and many other facilities.

酒店環境不錯，雖然在馬路旁，可是隔音良好到附近主要景店商區都是2到3公里左右，天氣好的時候可以步行過去不過房間設施偏舊，床架的皮革有剝落，還有房間玄關的雲石地板有缺角，影響雖然不大，可是感觀不大好

該飯店位處西溪橋要道附近，交通便利是主要優點，此外，早餐部分也是可取之處，雖然沒有說多到琳瑯滿目，但也是應有盡有，且味道還算可接受。其次，叫外賣送餐時有考慮到客戶隱私，使用機器人做中間的橋樑，也算是不錯的做法。至於主要缺點是設備部分較老舊，雖然有維護，但其實可以換新的，其次大樓窗戶真的建議要定期擦拭，不然住高層的意義就不大了

Guest rooms - Spacious, neat and clean and well-maintained. Separate wardrobe room.||Dining - very limited Menu for In-room dining. Restaurant at 1st (Ground) floor serve an exhaustive Menu of breakfast - Continental as well as Oriental.||Staff - very courteous and helpful. People at reception speak good English, however they struggle a bit with English conversation on the phone when using Room service or Housekeeping.||Taxi easily available on road. Also a short walk takes you to the BRT Bus stop, with an economical Yi Yuan (One Renminbi) transport for a distance long enough for this cost.

客房 - 宽敞、整洁、干净且维护良好。独立的衣柜间。||餐饮 - 客房内用餐的菜单非常有限。一楼（一楼）的餐厅提供详尽的早餐菜单 - 欧陆式和东方式。||工作人员 - 非常有礼貌和乐于助人。接待处的人英语说得很好，但在使用客房服务或家政服务时，他们在电话里用英语交谈有点困难。||路上很容易打到出租车。此外，您步行不远即可到达 BRT 巴士站，乘坐经济实惠的一元（一元人民币）交通即可到达足够长的距离。

我住的是豪华房。酒店的房间很大，可能都30多个平方。然后房间里面的设施很全面，也很新。酒店的设计很时尚，很舒服。房间的床很大，床也很软，床前面还有个小沙发。我就喜欢躺在那沙发上。用酒店的落地窗看外面的景色相当漂亮、

My previous visits to this hotel were somewhat surprising (good) as it seems like a much nicer hotel in comparison to the Howard Johnson chain in the US (which I would not even get close to.) The rooms were comfortable and clean and well equipped although the AC only seems to function in half of the hotel. However the management were kind enough to relocate me when I experienced this issue. ||The restaurant on the first floor does not cater so well to international visitors and the staff are not very well trained. Individually made cups of coffee were the best I have had in any of the hotels I stay at in China but if you want a glass of wine forget it. ||I went in for lunch one Sunday and asked for a table for one to order a la carte instead of brunch. I was immediately asked what I wanted while standing in the entrance and not having read the menu!! I politely asked to sit and review the menu and eventually got to order. ||My mistake was asking for a glass of white wine. They couldn't serve me a glass ( got the same response in the bar on a previous trip) and this took 10 minutes to communicate. I wasn't going to order a bottle by myself so I tried to order a glass of red! Same story. Then the waitress offered to see if they would open a bottle of white and asked me to choose. She came back empty handed and said it wasn't possible but perhaps they could give me a glass of red!!! I should have known better than to say yes as I think it was the local Chinese wine which tastes like cooking wine which has gone bad. Not my idea of a nice Sunday afternoon lunch!! Sadly disappointing.||||I just made my reservation for my upcoming trip along with 3 other coworkers. When our travel plans changed I called up to cancel and was informed this was a non-cancelable reservation(the key work being "reservation") I spoke to a supervisor and they would not give in or explain why, other than it was a " non-cancelable reservation" and I could not make changes either.||||Apparently there is no such thing as a cancelable or changeable reservation given the "Reservation Policy" on all bookings ( I went back to the website to create another reservation) which does indicate to cancel by a certain date........but you still pay a penalty equal to the room rate plus tax which amounts to the full bill anyway!! This is the worst example of appaling Customer Service I have come across with any hotel chain, and I travel a lot. So now my employer is out by $700. They take advantage of you either way and pocket the cash for thousands of travelers who don't stay in their hotel. Well I can tell you that I will not be staying here again and neither will anyone else from my company. Too bad Wyndham Hotels! ||My advice pick another hotel- I will return to the Traders Hotel.
