Stayed for about a month. Internet barely worked at night. Building was clean. Elevators were fast. Cleaning of the room was good and consistent. Room was nice a big and comfortable. They sometimes but not always provided bottled water and toilet paper. People smoke all over the place, and it's rarely enforced. The staff are mainly Chinese speaking with almost no English. Restaurant is basic and has mainly Chinese foods. This is not a good place is you need business facilities.

The guide told us this hotel is owned by the residents of Wuxi. I guess this is a good idea, till now the hotel is making money. When we first stepped into the reception hall, it was very plain not much decoration. Beside it is a big lounge with sofas, chairs, books and newspapers, looking like a library for guests to relax. Our room is huge, after all the furniture we still have room for line dance. The room also has kitchenette and washer. It is suitable for long stay guests. I wouldn't mind going back again for a long stay.||Happy Travelling!

The English name of this place is "U Centre Pacific Serviced Apartment". Hopefully TripAdvisor will get it fixed.||||I stayed at U Centre Pacific Serviced Apartment for several weeks on a business trip to Wuxi.||||General:||- Most of the clientele here seems to be Chinese people. Tour groups. School groups. Miscellaneous groups. I saw an average of less than one non-Chinese guest per week.||- The elevators were fast and efficient. I never waited for long.||- This place is on the budget side of the apartment world, and you can tell it’s seen better days. It’s still clean, but it’s clear they don’t fix a lot of wear & tear. My room’s floor had some significant water damage from some previous episode.||- If you look at the details, the place is indeed “rough around the edges,” which is consistent with the price point. But if you are looking for a really fancy experience, go next door to the Crowne Plaza. This place is about the same level as a Western 2.5 star hotel.||||Location:||- You will need a taxi to get here from the train / airport. From Wuxi Railway station, it is about 40 RMB. This place is not close to the metro. But it is close to a planned future metro location. It is right on the current bus route||- You will spend 15-20 minutes walking one way to the closest big grocery store, Carrefour.||- You will spend 30-40 minutes walking to the closest Metro station (河埒口 Helikou).||- Attached to the building is a Lawson convenience store and a small mall called Shanghai Centre, with about 6 restaurants, including Starbucks. I only tried 2 of the restaurants, and they’re a bit above average.||- Across the street to the West is a small strip mall with around 4 restaurants (and some of them are VERY GOOD) and a Family Mart convenience store. Skip Lawson and just go to Family Mart for your convenience store needs, including beer.||- Within 20 minutes walking North, you can find a lot of other interesting local restaurants, and even a small street food alley! But this is not a tourist area and it is quite hard to figure out what you are getting or how to order if you don’t speak and read Chinese.||- You can get to the ICBC Bank ATM in less than 10 minutes of walking.||||Check-in and Check-out:||- Easy. Smooth.||||Staff:||- Most staff do not speak English. Period. Make sure to pre-load translation apps on your phone, and download the offline translations!||- The front desk staff are indeed helpful, if you can communicate with them.||||The Room:||- Lots of space inside, with a separate living room, and bedroom area. It was pretty clean.||- Small kitchenette with one sink and induction burner. Very nice modern fridge / freezer combo unit, bigger than the typical bar fridge but smaller than an average Western refrigerator. They will provide pots, pans and dishes if you ask.||- Be prepared to wipe out the insides of the kitchen cabinets yourself to remove dust, debris, etc.||- Washing machine was modern, with bilingual controls, many temperature settings (including hot,) and many spin speeds. It worked well! They sell power detergent for 2 RMB a pack, but I suggest you get your liquid detergent at the grocery store.||- No clothes dryer. They provide a clothes drying rack. Bring enough HANGERS to hang your socks, undergarments, etc.||- Television had all Chinese channels and bad reception. I used it maybe one time.||- Bed was big, comfortable, clean. I liked the dual multisocket power bars next to the bed, which accept US/CAN plugs, and have built in USB ports! (The sockets are still 220V.) ||- Lots of space to store clothes and stuff.||- The air conditioning works well, but be sure to disable it before you leave the room! (The keycard will cut the lights, but not the A/C.)||- I did not experience a problem with street noise. Sometimes there was noise from other rooms, including ‘bedroom activities.’||||Bathroom:||- The bathroom was quite nice and big, and it good condition. Shower and bath were both present. Western toilet.||- Hot water was very hot. The in-room boiler supplies 20 minutes of hot water for showering, but takes 30 minutes to refill. I never ran out of hot water.||||WiFi Internet Access:||- Very Unreliable! In the evenings, it was almost always unbearably slow on the 36th floor (but still reasonable in the lobby.) This applies both with and without VPN, even for websites like Baidu and Bing. For 2 days straight, the wireless internet on the 36th floor was completely dead, but still good in the lobby. I tried to complain once but they just told me to check again in the room, because it was working in the lobby. It was hard to complain since I don’t speak much Chinese.||- If you need the internet at night, go to the lobby, or walk next door to the Crowne Plaza and sign into their WiFi as a guest.||- The WiFi signal was 100% strong all the time, so this appears to be an issue with the underlying infrastructure in the building.||- Make sure you get a VPN before you come to China. Even the super-fancy Crowne Plaza next door does not have a built-in VPN.||||Restaurant:||- If it’s not already included in your room price, it is 38 RMB each time.||- Most foods are for the Chinese guests, with very little Western foods. I could not even read the Chinese names, but it is typical Chinese breakfast food that is unfamiliar to the Western palate.||- The Western foods available are poached eggs, toast, butter, something resembling jam, some miscellaneous cereals with milk, and that’s it. I also liked those little fried ‘pumpkin pie’ nuggets and the noodles in broth. Every day, 2 kinds of fresh fruit were available, with tea, milk coffee.||- Surprisingly, the coffee at the restaurant is decently good! Quite unexpected!||- The lack of variety got tiresome pretty quickly.||- There is also a menu to get Chinese foods delivered to your room. I don’t know where it is cooked.||||What You Can Count On:||- Like clockwork, every weekday the used towels in the bathrooms are replaced and trash bins are emptied||- Like clockwork, once a week the apartment is cleaned by the staff.||- Shampoo, conditioner, etc. are topped up when you use them.||||What Sometimes Happens:||- Chinese hotels normally supply the rooms with bottled water. My bottled water was sometimes replaced as it was used, sometimes it wasn’t.||- Toilet paper is not always topped up if you are on the last roll.||- One time I had to ask the front desk for toilet paper and water, and it was delivered promptly.||||Business Facilities:||- I was travelling for a business trip. But this hotel does not actually advertise itself as a business hotel, so this part of the review does not affect my final verdict.||- This is not a good place if you are doing business activities at night. There’s a small eating table, but no logical place to plug in the power for your notebook computer. And the internet access is quite unreliable. I had to camp out in the lobby for hours at a time, just to get things done. (Bathroom breaks were annoying, as I did not want to leave the notebook just sitting there..)||||What I didn’t like:||- Internet access. It was bad, slow, unreliable. I camped out in the lobby sometimes to use the better lobby internet. See above.||- Smoking. This is a non-smoking hotel, yet ashtrays are available in the hallways, and in the room!? The hallways usually smelled of smoke, and sometimes it got into the room. It was quite unpleasant.||||Advice to Management: ||I think you really need to fix the following:||1. Please strictly enforce the No Smoking policy! I witnessed several times people walking through the lobby with a cigarette in their mouth, and only 1 time did a staff member yell at him. Why are there even ashtrays in every hallway? The smoking in the place is disgusting!||2. Please be more consistent about replacing the bottled water and toilet paper when it runs out. ||3. Fix the internet on the upper floors! Why does it work in the lobby but is unbearably slow upstairs?||||Conclusion:||- This is a good place if you are using Wuxi as a base for some adventurous travel around China, especially if you want to do some cooking for yourself.||- It is not a good place if you are a serious business person with serious business needs. If you have asthma or great sensitivity to cigarette smoke, do not book here.
