会老堂

这家酒店在一个村落里面，是一个有五百年的老宅子改建的一个小酒店，然后里面的一些设施都是文物，当时我在这里玩了一天，主人还招待了我们，他们给我们安排了一些菜，觉得这边的菜比较好吃，那个红烧肉，和当地的鱼和虾都挺不错的。然后这家酒店在太湖边上景色挺好的。

ものすごく行きにくい場所にありますが、歴史を体感できる素敵な宿です。 清の時代の建物を最低限リフォームしていて、とてもセンスの良い空間です。 周りの街は観光地化がうまくいってない感じで、人はまばらですが、半日くらい歩いて回るにはちょうどよい規模です。 自転車を借りれるので隣の集落まで足を延ばすことができます。 クレジットカードはVISAを使いたかったが、操作がわからないのか対応してないのか不明だったが結果的に使えませんでした。 帰りは車で地下鉄の駅まで送迎していただけました。 食事は近隣に数店舗夜まで開いてるところがありました。

虽然位于极其难以到达的地方，但却是一家可以体验历史的美妙旅馆。 该建筑是清朝时期的建筑，经过最小程度的翻新，使其成为一个非常有品味的空间。 周围的小镇好像没有开发得很好，作为旅游胜地，所以人不多，不过逛完半天左右也还算不错了。 由于可以租用自行车，因此可以将行程延长到邻近的村庄。 我想用VISA作为信用卡，但不确定是因为不知道怎么用还是不支持，所以最终没能用。 回来的路上，我们被送去地铁站。 附近有几家餐馆营业到深夜。

Stayed one night and totally in love with the place. ||||First of all, the photo here is not of Huilaotang. The actual place is stunning, beautifully restored ancient courtyard and nicely decorated. Personal touches of both owner and general manager are everywhere. Rooms are literally like Ming/Qing furniture museum with all precious pieces collected by owner, who is an ancient furniture lover, over years. ||||The location is an advantage and disadvantage. It locates in Luxiang village famous for this type of Ming/Qing courtyard around an hour or so of drive from downtown Suzhou. For who'd love to experience slow pace living and rural life, or has some interest in architecture or Chinese history, the place is perfect. You don't have much to do after 8 pm except having a long dinner with friends, talking with the very knowledgeable GM Mr. Wen, or reading a book you never got chance to finish. During the day, if you are lucky enough as I was, you got the chance to grab GM walk you around the village and do some story telling. Disadvantage means that if you only have limited time in Suzhou and also want to visit downtown Gardens, you will be a little bit in rush and might need to plan your stay more carefully. They do provide car pick up and drop off, but an hour for a single trip is not avoidable. ||||Service is excellent. Homey feel at the same time respect your personal space. They don't really specify things, like time for meals and where to have them. I got up like at 10 and still got my breakfast. And I saw people sitting the yard having lunch. No one knocked my door asking my needs or bothering me with questions every time seeing me pass by. I actually appreciate that coze I hate people interrupting and don't always want to be the focus. ||||Food is good. Clean, fresh, not too salty or oily. ||||One thing to keep in mind is that it still gets a bit chill during night at this time of year. I guess that's why they prepare a lot of extra blankets and comforters. I used two extra comforters to warm myself up. ||||Overall it's an amazing place. For me definitely a must go in Suzhou area if you have enough time and money.
