Beautifully restored Hui style house with modern and comfortable amenities. The hotel is very much like a homestay with locally authentic food and some western specialities like homemade cakes and cocktails. There are free bikes to enjoy the scenic spot and explore the beautiful natural surroundings. Also hotel knows the area so well they can suggest many activities in the surrounds.

The most beautifully restored building I have ever stayed in. Fabulous owners and staff who just made my trip with my kids so much easier. Can’t wait to go back. It’s a whole other world in Wuyuan and the side trips recommended by Ed and Selina were spot on!

Hotel in an old house with a lot of character, delicious breakfast, very helpful service. They prepared a light breakfast on the go as we wanted to see the sunrise. Good location in the middle of several villages. They prepared several hiking trails maps, very nice way to explore the villages and mountains! Highly recommend :)

We stayed for a weekend in Skywells hotel, we had an amazing time there. The place is very peaceful and quiet, the service is excellent, the staff gives you very nice recommendations on the area. And we highly recommend the homemade breakfast. We will come back for sure!

Wuyuan Skywells exceded our expectations for a quick family trip to the countryside. Ed and Selina are wonderful hosts, the service was excellent- great food, drinks, comfy beds and wonderfully decorated rooms, bikes to take out for the day and easy to follow maps for day trips. Our one year old son had a great time- a ride on the bike in the baby seat, loved the walks around the village and a couple of hikes, and swimming nearby in a river. I highly recommend staying here for anyone who wants a break from the city!

A perfect retreat into the Chinese countryside. Tastefully renovated to make a beautiful historic manor comfortable for today the team of skywells is extremely welcoming and helpful with everything you need. Jiajia, selina and Ed were there throughout to help with all itinerary and logistical needs - also opening their home for a wonderful celebration of New Years. We made dumplings with the family and had some amazing meals with a kitchen that never ceased! The village is very quaint with lots of beautiful areas to discover nearby on foot, by bike or car. Will definitely return, thank you for a lovely holiday!

Skywells was converted from an old "Hui-style" building and offers local wood-framed rooms, traditional breakfasts and attentive service. We expected the best, and it definitely exceeded our expectations. The butler showed us around the ancient village, but sadly we didn't have more time to wander around. Looking forward to the next stay, which should be in the near future. 100% recommended.
