The Jiangxi Hotel in Nanchang, where I stayed for a week, represents excellent value for Western tourists. The staff are courteous, very friendly, and although language is sometimes a problem, every effort was made to accomodate a non-Chinese speaker. The restaurants were a little disappointing with the traditional Chinese being way too salty and the "western style" restaurant serving overcooked western food and a range of average Chinese. The coffee shop on the other hand was of a high standard. Rooms are very clean, room service prompt and cheerful, and if going to Nanchang, two tips, eat out at night, as many of the city's eateries offer better food at lower prices than the hotel, and get to breakfast early, unless you want cold bacon!|

The remodeled rooms are gorgeous and the hotel is well maintained. Prices for laundry have skyrocketed since 2002, $15-25 Yuan per piece, even underwear. ||||The pool is open, but could use some serious cleaning. It's also grossly warm, but all outdoor pools in the city are in August. ||||This is the only hotel (out of 8) we stayed in that provided Cognac glasses in the room. Even places like the White Swan that have Cognac in the mini-bar didn't provide Cognac glasses. ||||The Buffet/Brazilian BBQ restaurant is still good, but much slower in bringing out the meats during dinner than our first visit. Many of the staff speak English well.

优点就是服务挺好的，前台的服务态度挺热情的。酒店的地理位置好啊，比较好找啊，交通购物的话周围有商场吧，周边有八一广场。停车的话挺方便啊，有提供早餐啦，是免费的，口味的话还适合吧。房间里面的装修差不多。房间的空间还可以。硬件设施和其它的酒店都差不多吧。有提供免费的洗漱用品，质量还行吧。隔音还行，听不到什么声音。

原来江西宾馆的位置在南昌属于最方便的，因为离八一广场很近，就在城市中心，现在因为市中心拥堵，反而不大方便了。住二楼感觉有点吵，最近装修以后房间设施也不错了。作为最老牌的南昌五星级酒店，服务还是不错的。

We just returned from Nanchang and stayed at the Jiangxi hotel. We were adopting as were all the Americans we saw at the hotel. The staff at the hotel are definitely above average. Take advantage of the laundry service. It was very inexpensive and it was back promptly the same evening at 6 pm. The beds, however, are very hard. We even went so far to purchase blow up pool floats to try to sleep on, but it didn't really help too much. There is a Walmart down the street and you can find dry supplies there. The restaurant in the hotel had some very interesting items such as crispy fried dog meat and turtle soup which included the whole turtle, shell and all. I purchased the menu to show everyone at home because I knew they wouldn't believe it. Others found some items that they said were very good but too spicy for us. The concierge was wonderful. She kept a Pizza hut menu in her drawer and would order for us and have it delivered for a minimal amount of money. Needless to say, we ate alot of Pizza Hut. You cannot drink the water but the hotel supplied bottle water to use for drinking and brushing. They had a comfortable bar area with a few beer and liquor choices. You can't use the ice though so we stuck with bottled coke and an occasional Heineken. Bring plenty of snacks from home. In the morning they had a breakfast buffet. The only thing resembling anything western was cooked to order eggs and white toast. If you like Chinese food for breakfast, there is plenty of choices and they changed every day. The fruit looked wonderful but we were warned off of that also so we didn't try it. Don't worry if you are going to the White swan next, it is a delightful change with plenty to eat, plenty shopping and a georgous hotel.

江西最早的五星级宾馆，位置一流，地处繁华的八一大道和福州路口，周边中高档购物，餐饮，娱乐林立。|酒店设施保养得很好，房间不是很大，但很舒适干净，没有老宾馆的味道，服务很热情，停车位有些，但高峰时紧张。

This Hotel is a AVIC Hongdu hotel, so it looks a bit military. Weather not too cold, but no heating working in the room. Room also like a caserne.||The environment is very nice. A beautiful garden, and a quite good restaurant. The breakfast is typical chinese. No real coffee.

这家酒店是中航洪都的酒店，所以看上去有点军事味。天气不太冷，但房间里没有暖气。房间也像caserne。||环境很好。一个美丽的花园和一家相当不错的餐厅。早餐是典型的中式早餐。没有真正的咖啡。

很久一段时间是南昌市最好的酒店，虽然只有四星级，但是地段非常好，靠近阳明路、八一大道、民德路、体育馆，去哪里都方便。房间大小适中，价格稍贵，很多企业政府机关都把它作为接待的首选！
