中州国际饭店

这个中州国际是新建成和装修的酒店，大堂还不错了，房间也还可以，就是装修的味道有点大，餐品略显单一，另外，位于酒店二楼的阿五中和会，真是不是一般的贵啊。

位置不错，附近很繁华，酒店是纯粹的商务酒店，房间比较新，楼下有桑拿和KTV，隔音还好，出差住比较方便，离政府的信访办很近，经常看到门口上访的人，坐了一地都是

It was my first time visiting Zhengzhou, actually never thought I would ever go there. The new part of the city looks quite promising and the old part of it is just like a normal Chinese city. The hotel I think is located at a residential area in the old part of the city. The moment we stepped off the coach, we all had this 'oh..not again' feeling (as we were in different parts of china before and had to move from hotels to hotels, and we did experience two terrible hotels). So we were preparing for the worst when we first arrived. The lobby looked like a motel and there were three sharks in the lobby fish tank, which drew all our attentions while our manager was helping us to check in. Once up at the guest room floor, the corridor is very long (but more importantly, bright and clean) and I was surprised that there were actually lots of rooms in one floor. The cleanliness of my room was acceptable, and the size was quite okay. The hotel is not wifi fitted so you do have to ask for a router in order to have the wifi running. To my surprise, the staff on the phone was very friendly as well as the person who brought me their router, she did explain to me where to plug the lines and how to use it. The housekeeping people we saw in the corridor was very friendly too and welcomed us to their hotel. The only thing I did not like is that the whole hotel can be accessible by the public, as there is no key lock in the lift. The location was terrible, there is nothing nearby, the closest place where there are a few restaurants is like 20mins walk away, which was okay except there is a market on the way and it was very smelly, dirty and dark at night.
