It was an enjoyable experience for me and my family to the hotel for three days. Despite this was not the first time I came to Hangzhou with my family, we had big expectations about this new trip. It was a rewarding experience to choose this amazing and peaceful place for staying, and I would love to recommend it to this place to my friends and acquaintances.||||The hotel is located in a green peaceful area which is quite far away from the noisy and busy city center. We were impressed by the design of New Chinese architecture and its details. The hotel staff is very fluent in English and they provided a satisfying service. We had some delighted conversation with the Guest Relation Officer who was always kind and attentive to us.The room was clean and spacious with good facilities.||||My daughter loved the dessert at the afternoon tea set very much, especially the Tiramisu cake. The lovely souvenir——postcard was a nice detail, we wrote something there and sent it back to home.

我和家人在这家酒店住了三天，非常愉快。虽然这不是我第一次和家人来杭州，但我们对这次新旅行抱有很大的期望。选择这个令人惊叹、宁静的地方住宿是一次值得的体验，我很乐意向我的朋友和熟人推荐这个地方。||||酒店位于一个绿色宁静的区域，远离喧嚣繁忙的市中心。新中式建筑的设计及其细节给我们留下了深刻的印象。酒店员工的英语非常流利，他们提供了令人满意的服务。我们与客户关系官员进行了愉快的交谈，他总是对我们很友善、很细心。房间干净宽敞，设施齐全。||||我的女儿非常喜欢下午茶套餐中的甜点，尤其是提拉米苏蛋糕。可爱的纪念品——明信片是一个很好的细节，我们在那里写了一些东西并寄回了家。

This was my first time going to Hangzhou, and I am very happy that I stayed in this hotel, which I got recommended from my chinese friend. ||||I wanted to escape from the big city vibe that China is sometimes all about and didnt expect I will find a perfect place for that there, in Hangzhou, in this hotel. After having to deal with places with many people, pollution, lot of noise, I was just super happy to get rid of it and couldnt believe there is such a fresh air, with greenery scenery around. ||||I asked on the reception about places to go, and was very surprised that many beautiful attractions were close to the hotel. Some places are reachable by walking, like the West lake for example. Sometimes I had struggle with catching a taxi in China, so I always went to the reception where they helped me to call a taxi. All working staff was nice and friendly, always smiling at me.||||The food there was very tasty as well, I especially enjoyed breakfast time, always sat next to the huge windows so I could look outside to the green garden. They have 2 types of restaurant, a western one and a chinese one, so the guests have a choice. The room was very spacious, with a balcony. I really liked the fact that this hotel was a non-smoking hotel. ||||This hotel has a nice atmosphere, with the traditional chinese style. Great design that is connecting the traditional chinese with modern, evrything thought out to the last detail. Even serving a tasty tea on the reception upon arrival, and when I asked about that tea, the staff gave me one bag as a gift. ||||I will surely come back again.

First time to Hangzhou - went with wife and two small kids to spend a long weekend at the resort for my brother's wedding.||Overall the experience was very nice - new infrastructure (2016 building), very nice landscaping, a retreat from the bustle of the city and still within walking distance (15 min stroll) from West Lake.||The room was a double-twin bed room with complete amenities and a small porch. ||A very robust and vast breakfast buffet was offered every day in the main restaurant facing the landscaped courtyard. The kids also enjoyed a recreational room for bouncing around when we had short periods of free time.|||While the room was appointed with wooden furnishings, some of the drawers in the dresser under the TV had a weird smell and we also found some leftover clothing from (presumably) a prior guest wedged under the corner of the bed.||The TV was a little odd in that you had to turn it on and then off and on again for the hotel menu system to boot up. Since the remote and on screen menu is all in Chinese, it required intervention from the front desk.||One time I had to call another guest to tell them I was running late. I called reception to transfer my call, but by phone they didn't understand what I wanted so it was an exercise in futility.||Other quirks - no one in the hotel had a mastery of English. While everyone tried to use a translation device, anyone with experience in machine translation knows that context is very important to interpreting results. That said, my dad had a mini-crisis when he left some prescription medicine in a taxi (whose phone number we didn't know) and by tracking down the driver's license certification, the hotel was able to contact the driver and return the medicine in less than an hour.||The restaurant food was representative of local cuisine and they also offered some western options. However, the menu with English / photos was not readily available unless specifically requested. That said, the food was fine and there were only a couple of dishes I probably wouldn't re-order after knowing what they were.||The night before the wedding we were hoping to have a nightcap, but there is no alcohol bar available in the hotel (there is however a tea serving bar). So we ended up sharing some drinks in one of the guest rooms.||Finally, the period we visited was tomb-sweeping weekend during which many locals travel. As Hangzhou is a popular national tourist destination, there were practically no cabs or Didi available whenever we sought one. Even asking the front desk usually resulted in being informed that it would be difficult to get a ride. So.... we stayed around the hotel vicinities for all meals that were not part of the wedding program. ||Fortunately the weather was perfect most days, so we could visit the Lake a couple of times for sightseeing.||-----|Bottom line - for tourists who don't speak mandarin, the hotel will limit opportunities due to communication. However, the staff is friendly and they gave the sensation of making best efforts. Also, the hotel is fairly modern and nicely appointed, so the time spent on-site will probably be well spent. We didn't have a chance to try out the spa / swimming pool, but peaking inside gave the impression that the infra was nice.

第一次去杭州 - 和妻子及两个小孩一起去度假村度过一个长周末，参加我弟弟的婚礼。||总体来说，体验非常好 - 新的基础设施（2016 年的建筑）、非常漂亮的景观、远离城市喧嚣的休憩地，而且距离西湖仅几步之遥（步行 15 分钟）。||房间是一间双床间，设施齐全，还有一个小门廊。||主餐厅面向园景庭院，每天供应丰盛的自助早餐。孩子们在我们有短暂的空闲时间时，还可以在娱乐室里蹦蹦跳跳。|||虽然房间里有木制家具，但电视下方梳妆台的一些抽屉有异味，我们还在床角下发现了一些（大概是）前一位客人留下的衣服。||电视有点奇怪，你必须打开它，然后关闭，再打开，才能启动酒店菜单系统。由于遥控器和屏幕菜单都是中文的，所以需要前台干预。||有一次我不得不打电话给另一位客人告诉他们我迟到了。我打电话给前台转接我的电话，但通过电话他们不明白我想要什么，所以这是徒劳的。||其他怪癖 - 酒店里没有人精通英语。虽然每个人都试图使用翻译设备，但任何有机器翻译经验的人都知道，上下文对于解释结果非常重要。话虽如此，当我父亲在出租车上留下一些处方药时（我们不知道出租车的电话号码），他遇到了一场小危机，通过追踪驾驶执照证明，酒店能够在不到一个小时的时间内联系到司机并归还药物。||餐厅的食物是当地美食的代表，他们也提供一些西式选择。但是，除非特别要求，否则带有英文/照片的菜单并不容易获得。尽管如此，食物还是不错的，只有几道菜我可能在知道是什么菜之后就不会再点了。||婚礼前一天晚上，我们本来想喝点睡前酒，但酒店里没有酒吧（不过有茶吧）。所以我们只能在其中一间客房里喝点酒。||最后，我们去的时候是清明节周末，很多当地人都会在清明节期间出行。由于杭州是全国著名的旅游胜地，我们每次想打车或打滴滴时，几乎没有出租车或滴滴。即使问前台，通常也会被告知很难打到车。所以……除了婚礼计划外，我们一直待在酒店附近吃所有餐点。||幸运的是，大多数日子天气都很好，所以我们可以去湖边观光几次。||-----|总之，对于不会说普通话的游客，酒店会因为沟通问题而限制他们的机会。然而，工作人员很友好，他们给人一种尽了最大努力的感觉。此外，酒店相当现代，布置精美，因此在酒店度过的时间可能非常值得。我们没有机会尝试水疗中心/游泳池，但进入酒店后，感觉基础设施很好。

I stayed in this beautiful hotel for couple of days, when traveling around China. I was very satisfied with the hotel, as well as with the service. ||||This hotel is situated between mountains, so everything around is green. It is a perfect place for relaxing the mind. They have a nice terrace where you can try the chinese tea and look over the garden. They even have their own small lake and a small herb garden. The room I had was super beautiful, clean, and had a nice garden view. Already when I arrived to the reception, I felt the harmonious, traditional chinese philosophy atmosphere, with nothing but water, many flowers and interesting architecture. ||||To go to the West lake-the main tourist attraction in Hangzhou takes around 10 minutes. After the whole day around Hangzhou, it is so relaxing to také a walk around the hotel, where everything is just green. There is even a path to go to the mountains and see the tea fields, very close to the hotel. And the Longjing tea village is just behind this mountain. There is a nice park and some temples close to there, too. ||There is a SPA offering different types of massage as well as the traditional chinese medicine doctor, that I tried as well. ||||Hotel working staff is super friendly and always tried to help with whatever I needed. Even though not everyone can speak english, but they tried their best. Language is a problem in many hotels where I went in China, which can be sometimes a little frustrating, but I learned that what counts is the effort. And in this hotel the people make the effort to make you understand them and to understand you. ||||All in all, I was very satisfied with my stay there. If you are looking for a relaxing place close to the nature, it is definitelly here.

My Chinese friend made the reservation for us and we didn’t regret her wise decision. My husband and I were looking forward to stay in Yagu Resort since they provide an excellent service for us.||Location: It was 15mins walk away to West Lake. We rented two bikes from the hotel and the fee was a bit expensive for two hours. It was a nice experience to ride around the beautiful lake.||Service: The receptionist at the front desk was excellent and passionate. The staff always took care of all our needs and we deeply appreciated to their professional commitment. ||Facility: We loved the mattress in the room, it was soft and comfortable. Everything was pretty good and we had a relaxing time during the night.||Food: I would like to highly recommend Pian Er Noodle in this hotel. There’s double space here.It was so good that we ordered the dishes for twice!!!!

我的中国朋友帮我们预订了房间，我们对她的明智决定并不后悔。我和丈夫一直期待着入住雅谷度假村，因为他们为我们提供了优质的服务。||位置：步行 15 分钟即可到达西湖。我们在酒店租了两辆自行车，两个小时的费用有点贵。骑车环游美丽的湖边是一次不错的体验。||服务：前台接待员非常出色，充满热情。工作人员总是照顾到我们的所有需求，我们对他们的专业承诺深表感谢。||设施：我们喜欢房间里的床垫，它柔软舒适。一切都很好，我们晚上度过了一段轻松的时光。||食物：我强烈推荐这家酒店的片儿面。这里有双人空间。太好吃了，我们点了两次菜！！！！

A relaxing resort with private lake and garden near West Lake. I had a peaceful weekend with my families. The architecture and interior design is nicely done. The bed size in Exquisite Twin Room is a bit too small. Superior King Room is much better compare to Exquisite Twin Room. The breakfast is very standard. It has an indoor swimming pool, but the water was a bit too cold. And the pool opens from 10 am to 10 pm. The resort is about 10 min walking to the main street. Arriving and leaving the resort was bit painful due to the heavy traffic and too many tourists in the area. Please be aware. It was a pleasant stay in general.

西湖附近一个有私人湖泊和花园的休闲度假村。我和家人度过了一个宁静的周末。建筑和室内设计都很不错。精致双床房的床有点小。高级大床房比精致双床房好得多。早餐很标准。有一个室内游泳池，但水有点太冷。游泳池开放时间为上午 10 点至晚上 10 点。从度假村步行约 10 分钟即可到达主要街道。由于交通拥堵和该地区游客过多，到达和离开度假村有点麻烦。请注意。总的来说，这是一次愉快的住宿。

I was moved to this hotel by my hosts in Hangzhou after a bad experience at a large American chain hotel in the city. When we got there, my wife simply noted that we had moved to Shangra La. I had been to Hanzhou three times in the past, and I now only regret that we did not arrange to stay in this hotel from the outset. It is in a beautiful pastoral setting right near West Lake. The hotel is in a quiet away from the world location looking over a pond and mountains. The rooms are beautiful--at the level of the Four Seasons hotel that I recently stayed in in Kyoto (but at a much more reasonable cost). The pool is also a really nice lap pool. And a major problem in many hotels in China is finding someone who really speaks English. At YaGu we were helped by Crystal. She spoke English fluently, and helped guide our stay from when we checked in to when we left.

在杭州的一家大型美国连锁酒店住宿体验不佳后，我的房东将我安排到了这家酒店。我们到达酒店后，妻子简单地说我们搬到了香格里拉。我以前去过杭州三次，现在唯一后悔的是我们没有从一开始就安排住在这家酒店。酒店坐落在西湖附近，环境优美，田园风光秀丽。酒店环境安静，远离尘嚣，俯瞰池塘和山脉。房间很漂亮——与我最近在京都住过的四季酒店水平相当（但价格要合理得多）。游泳池也是一个非常不错的游泳池。在中国的许多酒店，一个主要问题是找不到真正会说英语的人。在雅谷，我们得到了 Crystal 的帮助。她能说一口流利的英语，从我们入住到离开，她一直帮助我们。
