This is a Hotel located in one of the campus of Zhejiang University (about 35 min/40 CNY from the Hangzhou West Lake area). Nice rooms except for the bed, that was extremely hard even for Chinese standards. The bathroom was also nice and well equipped. I was attending a Symposium, but moved to another Hotel in the center after two nights for this reason. Acceptable English at the front desk. Free wifi (sometimes slow). Acceptable breakfast. We had dinner once and it was just correct (very little English there). Conversely to what is said in other reviews, we found no alternative places for to have lunch/dinner in the avenue close to the campus, unless you are local. If the bed mattresses would have been nice, I would have rated it with a "good". Fair price (378 CNY/night), but definitely not for tourism.

This is a nice, modern, western-style hotel on the northern campus of Zhejiang University. It has non-smoking floors and nice views of campus, and modern fixtures. The internet, which requires a Chinese cell phone number to activate, is a bit marginal, but that isn't unusual in China. There may be ways around the cell-phone requirement if you speak to the front desk, but it depends on who you are and who is at the desk. South-facing rooms have a nice view, and if you don't smoke I strongly advise asking for a non-smoking floor. They provide for 2 bottles of water each day (for tea, etc.) if you don't trust the tap water (I never do in China). The tea service is nice, with 3 pots of loose tea (red, green and chrysanthemum), and 2 packets of the standard mocha coffee mix. While they do serve real coffee in the restaurant, it is generally made by people who do not drink coffee, and is often marginally drinkable. Of course if you prefer fresh fruit juices or tea, then you're in luck, as they are always excellent (though I was a little unsure the day they served green bean juice)! The TV system in the room has a wide range of domestic channels, and a handful of foreign language channels, including an English language news channel, which is much less biased than you might expect. The bed is quite firm (also common in China) and a notch less comfortable than some other firm beds I've encountered, but I didn't have difficulty sleeping. Also like much of china, they are very energy conscious, while at least the power outlet remains on when the keycard is out, the lighting is very dim, even with all of the lights on. Overall a pleasant stay.

Right on the new Zhejiang University campus. The rooms were a little warm, but I was able to open the window pretty far, and it had a screen, and I had a north facing room so it was pretty pleasant at night. Reasonably quiet. Rooms were pretty basic but it was acceptable for getting work done. Breakfast was passable, could use a coffee machine as opposed to the pot of coffee cooking on the burner. Definitely work going to Starbucks. There is a lobby bar but they closed at like 9 pm, so not very helpful.

就在浙江大学新校区。房间有点热，但我可以把窗户开得很大，而且有纱窗，我的房间朝北，所以晚上很舒服。相当安静。房间很简朴，但对于工作来说还可以接受。早餐还过得去，可以使用咖啡机，而不是用炉子煮咖啡。去星巴克绝对可以。有一个大堂酒吧，但他们晚上 9 点左右就关门了，所以没什么帮助。

There is a distinctive smell in the room as I enter it. Probably of someone who has not had a shower for a few days. Though the room appear clean. Cigarette smoke travels through the Aircon vent to the room is extremely irritating. Otherwise it's ok. Food is good. Service is also ok.

An excellent hotel: impeccably clean and very conveniently located. The room was stocked with lots of useful things, from toiletries to slippers etc. Temperature control was easy and very effective. There is an issue with sound insulation.
