西湖国宾馆

A hard to describe experience, I would try with “ a 3 star hotel locates at a 5 star location”. It blocks a big part of west lake from general public, in a great looking garden. But it smells moldy especially in the rooms of original buildings. The hotel service is very superficial. They tried to be high end and welcoming at arrival then that was it. We were blocked from East entrance where is closer to our room and where we had been entering our rooms for two days at a rainy night. It was not the nicest lake side building and there weren’t any security details around- I think that means no necessity to block the building or entrance. And I can actually walk from my room back to the east entrance and inquire. The hotel manager standing there basically couldn’t explain and didn’t even offer a sorry. Such a nice property but certainly not pleasant.

We had a great stay here and upgraded free into the new building for west lake view, it perfectly matches with the vibe and I can imagine how romantic thousands years ago here. The room is big and clean, services was fantastic, they literally made you like a king/ queen, and I would recommend here to your friends and family

Sublime, elegant and scenic. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in China. The resort is just like a Chinese garden. Located next to the West Lake, it used to serve important national and international guests. Now it is open to general public. The service is excellent.

Great experience! The room was very spacious and clean. The hotel is inside the west lake scenic area. The view is awesome

Very nice ambience situated privately in Westlake. We had a very delicious lunch in their Chinese restaurant and took a walk along the lakeside. Gardens in the hotel is tastefully designed. You can feel traditional Chinese elegance there. 😍 if you are lucky in crab season, must try hairy crab or June crab! 😋😋😋 中菜館菜做得仔細，好味道！很想念那鲜味的六月黃蟹，菇🍄飯也非常值得一吃！😋食完午餐，漫步漂亮的園林和酒店的西湖湖畔，很恬靜的時光。下次來杭州要在這裡住！
