东方泰隆大酒店

Stayed here multiple times from Jan to Mar of 2014 while working in area. Good size clean rooms. Typical of business type Chinese hotels. Seems to cater to tourists from mainland China to some degree. Staff tries hard. The only English speaking staff we encountered was one waitress at the breakfast buffet. 5 minute cab ride into town for meals and services. Interesting old village down the road (if it is still there!!). Karaoke bar downstairs seemed to be very busy, so avoid rooms at that end of hotel. Good foot massage on main floor.

A very modern hotel across from the beach on the north side of Dongfang, the rooms are large and spacious and prices quite reasonable. Many rooms have balcony views out over the ocean, and there is a nice beachfront park and walking trail about a three minute walk to the north. The downside is that it's a little way out of town in a newly developing area, so not much close by in the way of shops or restaurants. Breakfast buffet was okay, but is Chinese style (mainly dumplings and buns) only. Service at reception and in the restaurant at breakfast time was pretty ordinary - not unexpected in a regional Chinese cities.

东方北侧海滩对面的一家非常现代化的酒店，房间又大又宽敞，价格也相当合理。许多房间都有阳台，可以欣赏到大海的景色，向北步行约三分钟有一个漂亮的海滨公园和步行道。缺点是它离城镇有点远，位于一个新开发的地区，所以附近没有太多商店或餐馆。自助早餐还不错，但只是中式（主要是饺子和包子）。接待处和餐厅早餐时间的服务非常普通——这在中国地区城市中并不意外。

Party of 5.|| I Ordered a steak rare, it was about 3/8" thick slab of beef, not a Steak cut, marinated in soy sauce, cooked well done and covered in gravy. Who cooks or eats Steak like that!|| Everything else was average at best.|| Most expensive restaurant I've been at in Dongfang. Could have gone anywhere and had a better meal for a fraction of the price.|| No wonder we were the only people their at dinner time!

5人聚会。|| 我点了一份半熟的牛排，大约是3/8英寸厚的牛肉片，不是切好的牛排，用酱油腌制，煮得很好，沾上肉汁。谁会这样煮或吃牛排！||其他一切都很一般充其量是我在东方吃过的最贵的餐厅。可以去任何地方并以一小部分的价格吃到更好的饭菜。难怪我们是晚餐时间唯一的人！
