Fairfield by Marriott Haikou Meilan

This is a new hotel, so all of the fixtures and fittings are new. The rooms are small, but comfortable and feel modern. The gym was good and again, all new equipment. They also have a self service laundry area. The staff were super nice to us and kept helping us or checking in each day. Breakfast was simple, but good and had enough options. I took away a star in my review because of smoking. It says it's a non-smoking hotel, However people smoked in the lobby, the corridors and in their rooms. This made the hotel smell of smoke. We saw people smoking in front of staff and they didn't say anything to them.
