The staffs are friendly. We stayed here 5 nights. We cannot speak Chinese, however that is not a problem here. The staffs are very glad to help us to call a taxi and also recommend us to visit old town and many place.

There are some good features, but the bad far outweighs the good. Find somewhere else to stay at all costs. Building is fine, some staff are pleasant, but this place exists for one reason only - to charge you as much as possible for the least service. Almost unbelievably poor experience for a hotel that looks like this. Don't they know visitors will leave reviews??||||We, a UK couple with an 18-month old baby, stayed here for 4 nights while visiting relatives. It was early April and the hotel was mainly empty - usually a good thing. We booked through a different website and ended up with a tiny room for a hefty price (not the hotel's fault per se, but see below).||||Here are some of the things we experienced: When we arrived we had to pay a "deposit" significantly larger than the entire cost of our stay. Essentially this meant any complaint could be (and was) ignored by staff who for whom it made no difference whether we enjoyed our time or not. We have friends who have enjoyed their time here, but clearly we didn't, and the hotel seemed unwilling to do anything about it.||||Our room contained barely any storage space (we lived out of bags on the floor - ludicrous for 600+RMB/night in a 16-floor hotel containing 3 cavernous restaurants and barely any fellow guests). It smelled of cigarettes when we arrived despite being non-smoking, and the shower fitting was broken. One of the lights didn't work. By night 2 the drains in the bathroom stank worse than a nappy change. When we asked about moving room (with a friend as a translator) staff were rude and dismissive: "Take it up with your booking website" was the only response. Of course we will, but that's not the answer we expected in the circumstances. We ran out of milk for the baby one evening and were charged full price at the bar (28RMB) for 250ml of milk I fetched myself. A room service order came with half the crockery needed. Housecleaning left dirty cups and empty bottles in our room. The AC couldn't get the room below a muggy 17C. Breakfast was half cleared well before the 10.30am cut off (although, full credit where due, the restaurant staff were nice and helpful).||||The building is large and modern, and I have no complaints about it, although it's a bit soulless with its acres of marble tiles. Some of the staff do want to help, but most do not. Someone in a different room, or without the need to ask for anything, may have a pleasant stay here. But anyone who may have extra requirements, or just looks forward to a service that matches the price, should go elsewhere.

The New Yantai is an odd complex of three buildings knitted together into one hotel. Lets be honest - no one goes to Hainan Province to then stay in Haikou (essentially the entry point via plane or boat to the island). The beaches are all some distance away from here 1hour by drive plus or 40 mins to the dormant volcano crater (the hotel can arrange transport for you for about 600RMB). The rooms aee a major plus point, very nice clean and modern ensuites. As was the dining areas - breakfast/lunch/dinner buffets were all good. Downsides are there is nothing walkable of note around here aside from a few basic restaurants and 1-2 bars. The hotel bar is on the 17th floor which is ok and has great views. The gym is pretty poor and next to thw card games room where people can smoke heavily. On an evening I could barely see across the gym for smoke fumes ridiculous. Smoking amongst staff and Chinese residents seems common place in the evening which is not really acceptable these days for westerners. There is a small outdoor pool across the car park and a spa which I didnt visit. The mini-market store was small but great and full of bargains gifts/treats to take home. This was a costly hotel for what is on offer. Only given three stars (instead of 2) because of the rooms but even mine had a faint wiff of smoke. In short, not great!

新烟台酒店是一个奇怪的建筑群，由三座建筑组成，并组成一个酒店。说实话 - 没有人去海南省然后留在海口（基本上是乘飞机或乘船到岛的入境点）。海滩距离这里都有一段距离，车程1小时，距休眠火山口40分钟（酒店可以为您安排交通，费用约600元）。房间的一个主要优点是，非常漂亮、干净、现代化的套间。用餐区也是如此 - 自助早餐/午餐/晚餐都很好。缺点是除了几家简陋的餐厅和 1-2 家酒吧之外，这里没有什么值得步行的地方。酒店的酒吧在17楼，还可以，风景也很好。健身房很差，旁边就是纸牌游戏室，人们可以在那里大量吸烟。有一天晚上，我几乎看不到健身房对面的烟雾，因为烟雾太可笑了。工作人员和中国居民在晚上吸烟似乎很常见，这对西方人来说是不可接受的。停车场对面有一个小型室外游泳池和一个水疗中心，我没有去过。迷你市场商店虽小，但很棒，里面有很多便宜的礼物/零食可以带回家。就所提供的服务而言，这是一家昂贵的酒店。由于房间的原因，只给了三颗星（而不是两颗星），但即使是我的房间也有一股淡淡的烟味。简而言之，不太好！

I had a good stay in this hotel. Very nice rooms with big beds. Linen are white and clean. Good size bathtub. Ammenities are in good quality. Internet are limited so if you are google based person then be ready for limited internet. Buffet breakfast is massive!!!

On the 12th floor I had a lares double super-king size bed in a very spacious room. Rooms are quiet and lit. |Breakfast offers a wide variety of quality products. English is not well spoken but the staff is always very helpful providing a excellent service.|I really had a good time. Thank you very much.

主要是比较安静，在海边环境也比较好，服务员也比较安静，不会打扰到顾客。交通也是比较方便，公交车有，但是不是很多，的士比较多。酒店的饭菜还是不错的，味道很不错，算是美食了。房间里面的设施用起来还是比较顺手，比较舒适的，有宽带的。装修也还行吧，没有什么不舒服的，比较现代。酒店的外观跟周围的环境还是比较匹配的。房间的空间比较舒适，没有感到拥挤。服务的态度好，效率也不错。停车场也比较大。

This place is great it has a big bed,toys,bath tub and a ball pit ~ the design is cute the kids loves it ,the room is clean the bed is soft , we hope that we will stay here again.

这家比不了新国，在海口一个海甸岛上，属于那些四星级的，感觉还没有二星级的好呢。我们先看环境，还有设施都很不完善，市内出去还是比较方便的，每次打的都是包场的，比外面贵一点点。当时我们去那里开会，公司不会给我们住豪华房。房间比较老化，服务态度还行，都大同小异。有早餐，我们是公司集体去的。比较靠市中心，算不上繁华地段，也比较偏一点，是迎海而建的，应该算是靠海边的。
